Stolen from our discord - SB-1 and SB-1M glide guided bombs that were developed in ~1941-1946

Model of SB-1 in 2/3 scale. Variants with pods on wings, 1943.

SB-1M bombs testing batch built in early 1945 , tested on Tu-2 in 1945-46.
"For guidance, the SB1-M bomb used two heat-sensitive photocells placed behind focusing lenses in its nose. One photocell was used to scan vertically, the other horizontally: a rotating modulating disk in front of them "break" the incoming thermal radiation line by line. The signals from both photocells were amplified and converted by the corresponding logic circuits into commands for the control system".
Requirements for it were issued in august of 1941 hovewer war and german air raids on VEI constantly delayed development beyond mockups and aerodynamic tests until 1944-45.

The Kalashnikov Concern announced that it has signed a major export contract for the supply of guided missiles "Vikhr-1" to a friendly state.

Apart from Russia, Egypt is the only operator of the Ka-52. However, one of the potential buyers could be Iran with its new Mi-28 helicopters.
