Somewhere between life-and-death and nonexistent.

 

This sort of infighting in a president's inner circle isn't unheard of.  Various stories of the Reagan administration that leaked out after the fact come to mind.

Thing is, that was stuff that came out after the fact.  That, and Trump has some experience with professional wrestling, an entire industry built on spinning elaborate, ongoing narratives on completely fictional grudges.

 

Given Trump's record with throwing out sticks for the media to chase, I wouldn't be shocked to learn that this was something he came up with, or a rumor that emerged naturally they they just decided to abet.
