This is something that they seem to have done before. I find it interesting that they took to imitating the T-62M after it showed up in Syria.  I wondered why they never did it with the T-55AM since it can have BDD on it too, but apparently the Syrians never bought any to put on their tanks for the sake of cutting costs.

No optics installed, Shtora jammers and laser sensors not mounted, no ERA blocks mounted anywhere suggests that this is a turret used for testing.
