  1. And meanwhile, robot hippies at Berkeley are such burn-outs that they literally burn out of control. https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Delivery-robot-catches-fire-at-UC-Berkeley-13470063.php "HEY FUCK NUT, GETOUTTADAWAY!!!" But at least the robot got a candle-light vigil out of it from the University's Asian chicks.
  2. The day may come in the not too distant future when humanity will become enslaved by their new robot overlords. But it isn't today!
  3. But here's the fantasy world that the Left is living in. The Left and the Press and the Democratic Party generally believe that the Russians bribed Donald Trump who has a networth of $3 billion dollars... with a $50 million real estate deal in moscow... in order for him to be President... when during the time this occurred polling had him at less than 1 percent if he was even included on a poll at all... to run as a Republican... for the sole purpose of... Something?... Like, what do the Russians even think they're getting out of the deal given that Trump has bombed their client states to shit in Syria and has put even more sanctions on their economy... but the yeah, the Russians bribed Trump to be President... and they accomplished ALL of this by purchasing $60,000 in Facebook advertising... and Trump went along with this because... reasons? Occam's Razor But yeah, a campaign adviser who was foisted onto Trump for a couple months because the GOP Establishment thought Trump needed his Rolodex in order to run the Convention and whom Trump promptly fired was convicted of crimes not even involving the President or his Administration. And Flynn got caught in a perjury trap which is even as we type getting the stink eye from the Federal judge in charge of the case and will likely be thrown out. Bravo Democrats. I'm surprised the Left hasn't gone the IRS route harder though, because Obama made no bones at all about siccing the IRS on his political opponents during his Administration.
  4. Question: What were the Clinton's per diem and net worth prior to 1992? What is it today? Question 2: What were the Obama's per diem and net worth prior to 2008? What is it today? Question 3: Do you seriously believe Trump's net worth is going to grow once he's out of office?
  5. If Trump had only stuck to selling unregistered firearms to mexican gangs which were then used to kill federal agents, if he had stuck to setting up a "charitable foundation" which was a front for a pay-to-play scheme used by foreign agents while storing classified documents in an unsecured server in some random basement, if he had stuck to having his spouse have an off-the-record conversation with the federal employee tasked with investigating his spouse's criminal activity in a random airplane hangar, if he had stuck to letting US citizens die in Benghazi while blaming the event on a YouTube video that no one watched, then the Press wouldn't be concerned.
  6. Breitbart? Yeah. They're shit. But most news sites can't afford to hire a copy editor or even have an editor who will read a story before it's posted.
  7. That the Left and the Press would think that Jared Kushner was an actual candidate for the WH Chief of Staff says more about the underwear-on-head retardation of those entities than anything else. As punishment, I'm linking the Breitbart article on Trump picking Mick Mulvaney as Kelly's replacement. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/12/14/president-donald-trump-announces-mick-mulvaney-acting-chief-of-staff/
  8. [Collimatrix here, I'm splitting this off and doing something I should have done a long time ago, which is have a thread dedicated to terror attacks and active shooters. News updates, professional analysis, that sort of thing. I know that these events are always very emotional and shocking, but let's try to keep it reasonable and level-headed. AEarly reports are usually godawful wrong. The whole truth may not come out for months. Anyone who tries to make a political point before the blood has congealed is a jackass.] So apparently there was a mass shooting in Las Vegas on the strip that just happened. We'll have to wait until useful information begins to trickle in and for 24-48 hours to go by before the false reports get corrected. Edit: The shaky mobile phone cam footage "sounds" kind of like automatic weapons fire. That is just a wild guess on my part. See second line.

Young Oregonians fight to buy guns, ammo -- and sue when they’re denied https://www.oregonlive.com/news/2018/12/young-oregonians-fight-to-buy-guns-ammo-and-sue-when-theyre-denied.html Oregon courts and state regulators have been asked to rule on the legalities of policies enacted by major retailers in the weeks after the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, on Feb. 14. Seventeen students and staff died after a 19-year-old former student opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
  10. Since we don't have a general, all purpose archaeology topic, let this be a repository for all matters involving the science which has been made cool by whip-cracking, mummy-fighting, big-breasted, relic-hunting adventurers. And the real life stuff that is far more interesting.

    "Pigs" Have A Hard Job

Two Minneapolis police officers placed on leave after racist Christmas tree display http://www.startribune.com/minneapolis-police-officer-will-be-fired-over-racist-christmas-tree-decorations/501646051/ Longtime civil rights activist Ron Edwards called the Fourth Precinct tree decorations — a Newport cigarette pack, a can of Steel Reserve malt liquor, police tape, a bag of Takis and a cup from Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — a “wink wink” to racist stereotypes.

And then one day there’ll be an earthquake or a forest fire like what happened today in Anchorage or couple weeks ago in Cali which knocks out cell coverage and your brand new computer on wheels won’t start because it doesn’t have a signal.

Yeah, we run into that issue with Deere and their proprietary software and whatnot. On the otherhand, there are a shit ton of farmers trying to work on and “fix” equipment where you have to be a trained mechanic to even look at the shit. Two of our guys completely destroyed - like ten or twenty grand worth of repairs - a brand new wheeled tractor after swapping out the rear tires incorrectly. They were both Boomers and our two “Millennial” employees who kind of knew what they were doing because they actually looked at the manual about the correct procedure tried to talk them out of it but ran into the “we’ve been doing this for years” and decided to let the old farts do it. Also, John Deere sucks.

The US taxpayer being shafted for $11 billion was TOTALLY worth it for this http://www.thedrive.com/news/25221/2019-chevrolet-silverado-breaks-down-in-the-middle-of-detroit-red-wings-marketing-stunt?fbclid=IwAR2AARBLONAAP38AfurCt2OaAAOpDTYegdJ-XPkMXK-DhDKpuXIcZJTc1O4 Chevrolet spokesperson clarified that the Silverado did not actually "break down" per se. According to the company rep, the Silverado's driver had to turn off the engine while the truck was stationary at the blue line—understandable, since running a hot, internally combusted V-8 in one place, over ice for too long probably isn't ideal. When the truck was restarted, the driver then accidentally accepted a software update, rendering it immobile for the next several minutes. Once the update was done, the Silverado drove off the ice problem-free.

Judging by the pictures, the Otter wasn't exactly... COY... about eating the decorative fish!
  22. So in other words I show you actual equipment and logging techniques called "rakes" and "raking" which are standard forestry practices and which just so happen to corroborate what Trump said and that STILL isn't good enough for you? I don't know what I'm supposed to do.
  23. Clearly the Iowa State University are shills for the Trump Administration. OH WAIT!!! Actual guys who go out in the woods and work for a living use rakes! Edit: But good fucking luck getting The Left or the media to issue a retraction because "Orange man bad".
  24. And because The Left and the media are not only fucking morons but completely ignorant of any occupation that actually involves working for a living, HERE is what "raking the forest" means. It doesn't mean going out with a fucking garden rake, for Chrissakes. But then, the Democratic Party ceased being an actual Blue Collar party decades ago and are not only ignorant of basic blue collar terminology. But they're ignorant of the fact that they're completely ignorant.
