  1. I've been playing a fair bit of BF1 lately myself. I would like to second that Operations is a pretty great game mode.
  2. https://youtu.be/Qmln5aChX0s P-40E Kittyhawk gun test.
  3. Different direction for today; 1:1 Replica of Nagato made for Tora! Tora! Tora!
  4. It's an RJ Mitchell Appreciation Post! Spitfire Mk. XIV in RAF Far East Markings Spitfire Mk. VIII in RAAF markings Seafire Mk. XVII Spitfire Mk. XVIII
  5. Gratuitous Flight Manual Porn Some of the more interesting manuals: Royal Air Force Buffalo Mk. I Soviet Air Force P-39 Lockheed P-80A Focke-Wulf TA-152 North American X-15 Northrop XB-35 Northrop YB-49 Bell YFM-1 Airacuda Ah Forgive me, a bunch of these have already been posted. My bad!
  6. May I nominate this terrible T-34 pretending to be some German tank?
  7. P-38L with P-38F style cowlings and a lack of turbo-superchargers. This threw me, and for a split second I thought I was looking at a Model 322 or Lightning I in RAF parlance.
  8. https://youtu.be/52x1gnRtB-8 Video of a Hawk 75C flying
  9. "USAF BOMBERS ARE STILL BASED OFF OF NAZI SCIENCE!" - Every Wehraboo today. I'll admit I've been shockingly ignorant of this program though. So this is a replacement for the B-52 then I take it?
  10. I think it does. A guy over in my Cliffs of Dover group posted a video of camping an airfield in T-34s and taking potshots at Fw-190s as they came in to land. On the subject of the IL-2 Series and Tanks, the Team Fusion mod added drivable tanks to Cliffs of Dover, which admittedly I haven't tried. TF also has the advantage of making Cliffs of Dover a much, much, much better game.
  11. USS Massachusetts firing a broadside. Note outbound 16" shells in the upper left hand part of the picture.
  12. I've been enjoying it a lot myself. The combat is very fun, sailing around looking for battles in PvE is pretty cool. The ships themselves are absolutely incredible looking, and visually the battles are very impressive. Agreed on the price though.
  13. So, I'm not going to lie. I'm a little surprised (and immensely happy) he got away with this one.
  14. I'll be the first to admit this is odd for no shortage of reasons, but the Bf-108 is easily my favorite German aircraft of WWII.
  15. When I was doing research for work, we covered some of the local Shipyard stuff. I'm eager to see that when it finally comes out.
  16. January 1957, Retirement of the last F-51D Mustang in US service. AU-1 Corsair in USMC service that same year.
  17. Hill AFB, 1983 SBD-2 Dauntless from VMSB-241. This aircraft attacked Akagi during the Battle of Midway Bristol Blenhiem Mk. IF Rather impressive scoreboard on a USAAF B-17 assigned to the Pacific theater.
  18. As a resident of Richmond, I would have loved to have seen the Henry Kaiser Shipyard and Mare Island Shipyards operating at full swing during the war. The sight had to be absolutely incredible.
  19. What in Hathor's glorious name is the purpose of that monster?
