  1. So that faithless Republican elector from Texas who isn't voting Trump because something, something Star Wars and Saturday Night Live and who posted an Op-Ed in the New York Times?

Turns out there isn't any proof that he was a 9/11 First Responder after all. Heck. He isn't even a fireman.

    http://www.wfaa.com/news/local/texas-news/no-record-of-faithless-elector-chris-suprun-as-a-911-first-responder/371421191

It's not like it matters in the end anyway. Even if Trump somehow gets enough faithless electors to get the vote sent to Congress, he'll probably still be president unless the Republicans feel like committing political suicide since there is no chance those faithless electors will vote Hillary.

  2. The fabric doesn't even have to be nice to run a successful Kickstarter campaign.

"For every electric-less, super green, eco-friendly heated blanket you purchase, we'll donate one to the shivering, cold, dieing homeless population/child-in-need-of-the-week.

With your help, we can achieve our dream of never letting another person die in the cold ever again ever ever ever."

I'll run the calculations later on the right salt combination to obtain around 80 degrees for 5 or so hours. The rest is creating the holding part and a washable cover.

Don't forget about natural salt and biodegradable cotton

  3. Here's a poem I wrote for poetry class a while back

    Hollow Tranquility

    As the world spins
    round and round,
    others move alongside.
    The sun,
    the sky,
    the clouds above us all
    moving ever so slightly.
    As we close our eyes,
    shut down our brains,
    the world stops moving.
    The people,
    the animals,
    the ground beneath us,
    all fall tranquil.
    When we open our eyes,
    nothing was where they were,
    the moon,
    the stars,
    the air by us all.
When we close our eyes again,
    we remember the law,
the one which we are bound to:
    all that begins must end.
  4. Because BAAAEEEYYYEEERRR NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

    No. Seriously.

According to the New York Times, the fact that the Russkies have been trying to hack and influence the US election has been known since September of 2015.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/13/us/politics/russia-hack-election-dnc.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=a-lede-package-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0

The FBI knew it. And they tried to talk to the DNC and got shuffled along to some flunky in the IT department who didn't believe they were the FBI.

So you'd think that - I don't know - the President of the most powerful country with the most powerful military in the world would tell the Russkies to back off if this was such a terrible issue. Except this didn't happen.

I believe that the Democrats and Obama didn't think the Russkie involvement was that big of a deal. Or if they did, they didn't think it was worth the diplomatic effort to get Putin to back off. Furthermore, by their actions, I believe the Democrats thought they had this election in the bag and it wasn't even worth bringing the subject up. It was only after they lost that the lot of over-paid, incompetent idjits are in search of finding and excuse as to why their candidate lost to Trump.

    And again.

Maybe if the Democrats weren't actively trying to rig the primary against Bernie Sanders, then they wouldn't have been caught by the Russians (if it was the Russkies) doing this.

Or maybe if they hadn't nominated the worst, most corrupt and most unlikable human beings in America as their candidate, this wouldn't have happened either.

Another question is whether the Russkies were "helping" Trump. Personally, I don't think so either and my hunch is that they were doing these hacking shenanigans to discredit the future Hillary Administration. I'm not convinced that the Russkies thought Trump was going to win. They were just trying to leverage themselves further when the Hildabeast was in office.

DNC managed to lose to fucking Trump of all people and this is with all the major media outlets supporting them. I think they refuse to acknowledge it because it would be acknowledging how incompetent they are.

If they don't get their heads out of their asses and reform, at this rate the next Democrat candidate might be the next Mondale if Trump gets a moderately successful term.

  5. I imagine they were thinking the same thoughts as the designers of the INSAS rifle were.

Honestly, it's astonishing how the Indian arms industry uses the best weapons on the market as influences for their indigenous design only to have the product somehow worse than its influences.

One can only imagine the fate of Indian test pilots when India wants to make its indigenous fighter aircrafts.

  6. I think you are overestimating Putin's influence in Turkey, honestly

It's not his influence but Erodgan's opposition in the military. Many have seen the "coup" as a false flag to purge his opponents and led to the new paranoia within the Turkish government of suspected Gulenists hiding within its ranks. It is pretty likely that there will be an actual attempted coup in the future and one that Russia will definitely support if nothing had changed.

  7. Quote from the article;

I'm also curious about this. Were they just picking the value at the middle of the interval and multiplying it by the length? At least use Simpson's Rule you shitbirds.

She used the trapezoid rule, using the average of the two to find the area of the trapezoid and sum it.

    Biologists not even once

  8. I think if we're being perfectly honest with ourselves, North Korea is about as fascist of a state as you can get, with the exception of its communist window dressing.

South Korea is pretty fascist too, with government intertwined with the chaebol and with the army supporting them, crushing any dissidents when needed especially during the dictatorships under Rhee and Park. North Korea feels more like an absolute monarchy that uses communism for legitimacy.

  9. People who are protesting there should write a check to the government of North Dakota for the annual tax benefits their state gets from federal transfer payments, a portion of which comes from North Dakota.

You can't take the economic benefits while protesting how the money was made for you to get the benefits in the first place.

If you want to protest, write a check to the respective government forfeiting the benefits you get first. Until then, you have no right to protest.

  10. He obviously needs to hire a better PR person because that message was not getting out.

Even with better PR, 'muh big pharma' will drown out any message. At least with this, he got tons of publicity for his company. He probably didn't lose any sales at all anyway since his company produced drugs for those with rare disorders anyway.
