Reduces tears of the barrel ;
Ready for a Mk2 standard ;
lesson learned readily used for 140mm Ascalon.

More technical details on the ASCALON :
https://www.forcesoperations.com/ascalon-du-concept-aux-champs-de-tirs-portugais/
Energy of an APFSDS rod at the muzzle of 17 to 20 MJ Increased energy attained by increasing the volume of the chamber which is doubled compared to the Leclerc. For comparaison Rhm went the other way with their 130 mm, they kept a small chamber volume (15L) and increased the peak pressure, so we can assume the volume of the ASCALON's chamber is probably around 30L 20L (thanks @SH_MMfor the correction). Lower peak pressure in the ASCALON may (if the gun can handle it) indicate more growth potential by increasing the peak pressure in the future. Peak pressure in the ASCALON's chamber is lower than in the Leclerc (GIAT CN120-26). For comparaison the nominal pressure for the Leclerc firing an OFL 120 F1/DM43 at 21°C is around 4160 bars (don't know the peak value associated). Gun lenght of 7,3 m (40 cm more than the Leclerc's 120 mm L52 and 10 cm more than Rhm's 130 mm) Mass of around 3 tons (roughly the same than Rhm's 130 mm) The semi-telescoped APFSDS round is 1,3 m long for a mass around 30 kg. -

Such as AS21, AMPV, Merkava...
Even the SPz-Puma is not so far.
Maybe they favored space saving and managed a solution.

Video of the first RapidFire unit (not the mock-up) at Nexter (still lacking it's sighting system which will be installed later by Thales).
Nothing new in terms of technical informations and it remain unclear whether the system can participate in terminal missile defence (and to what extent).
Another line-up of the ammunition types available with a 40mm Bofors behind them for size comparison (6:56).
First units will be installed on a ship (likely the new BRF Jacques Chevalier which was launched last month) by the end of the year or early next year. Live fire trials are expected by the end of the year.

Hyundai Rotem's and Hanwha Defense's booth at the recent 2022 Advanced Defense Industry Exhibition which happened in Daejeon, at the Daejeon Convention Center on the 15th.
Biggest thing worth noting is the AS21 variant vehicles showcased with a decently clear picture of the K-MPF being seen.
The Next Generation Wheeled Fighting Vehicle also made a reappearance
A Hydrogen Fuel Cell concept model
Sadly no clearer photos of a lot of the stuff at Hyundai Rotem's booth have been uploaded or it's paywalled. I will keep an eye out if anything more pops up.
