  1. I've just had a revelation.....The concept above works in conjunction with your healthcare system, it's a cunning self-culling system that you've devised! Truly brilliant.....American genius at its finest!
  2. I didn't say 'Asshole', I said 'Dickhead'.....Very different manner of beast IMHO. One's a bit ornery and will bite you if you poke it.....The other's, well it's a dickhead innit, so it will probably discharge the weapon while cleaning it or accidentally shoot itself in the crotch.
  3. I've got quite a large reference collection saved, might start a Mosul thread at some point, it's been an interesting battle.
  4. Far from it fella.....I thought a bit of banter was what we were here for? This delusion that you Americans have that we British have been 'disarmed' is very, very funny to me (it's borderline f*****g hilarious TBH), while I don't personally own any firearms at present (family circumstances do not allow) almost all of my close friends do. I do however know a lot of local landowners very well and I own & train hunting dogs (Lurchers), so if I wanted a firearm I could have one , despite having been a 'naughty boy' in my youth. PS - I'll ask a mate if I can post some of his collection.....I suspect you will be quite surprised (and possibly even impressed) at 'George', his sniper hunting rifle.
  5. Keep in mind that I'm a Brit.....What I see is 'The President', with 'God' at his right hand and 'Guns' at his left. Just needs a pill-pusher in the background.....Maybe the chick in red? She looks dodgy to me!
  6. UK media silence on this subject is deafening (and thus sickening). But defence industry shares are on the up.
  7. TBH Akira is the only manga I can watch, it's usually just too weird for me.....IMHO anime/manga is conclusive proof (if such were ever needed) that getting nuked really f***s with your national psyche.
  8. I've been on a retro/swing/noire journey since Colli introduced me to The Pierces.....Which brought me, via a very circuitous route, back to this: Via this: & this:
  9. Going through the thirty odd pages of this thread is proving to be a lot of fun! Having a hard time figuring out if this thread is actually for terrible music though (the superb song in the first post strongly suggests not), anyhow here's the song that ruined Theresa May's day:
  10. Searched for this in the thread, didn't find it, so: Still the king.
  11. Conspiratorial or not (TBH I'd tend to agree with your assessment BTW), surely the short-term loss of two Aegis ships represents a significant reduction in capability, in an area of the world where that capability is currently at a premium.....I think my 'Spidey-Senses' are tingling on general principles TBH.
  12. I kind of lost interest when they got to this bit:
  13. Are you on a commission from Echo Papa? https://www.your-poc.com/uncovering-blackwater-ceo-erik-princes-plan-build-private-air-force/
  14. Apologies for the slight veer off topic, but is there a thread like this for the fighting in Iraq (particularly Mosul) anywhere? I did check, but didn't find one. I'm particularly interested in the fighting in East Mosul between November & December 2016 featuring the CTS and elements of 9th Armoured Division (I'm building a Mosul campaign for Combat Missions: Shock Force).
  15. That was down to me.....Or rather it was down to me trying to get clarification of Google Translate's attempt on this post at Gur Khan: http://gurkhan.blogspot.co.uk/2017/08/blog-post_10.html
  16. No worries, you can never have too many videos of loonies making dodgy weapons.....It's what the internet's for!
  17. Two Aegis ships down, both apparently under mysterious circumstances.....Got to say, if I were the USN I'd be very, very wary of the Russian/Chinese/Iranian coast right now.
  18. I still build my 'wingy-things' wheels-up.....Have an 'Iraqi' Bf.110 (Airfix 1/72 WIP): If you look very, very carefully you may just be able to spot the Imam in the middle seat (really). Sadly, these and a few earlier WIP shots are the only other modelling pictures I have on my current HD.
  19. Another from a book cover (Iain M Banks, 'The State Of The Art') and a personal favourite (hoping it's not a pearoast):
  20. So do you build exclusively in 1/35? I've started to broaden my horizons, having been a Braille only type in the past (my eyesight's deteriorating as I get older).....I've built one 1/35 kit and am looking at having a bash at the epic Hobbyboss 1/48 T-34/85, possibly in an Afghan setting with the Airfix Coyote.
