Don't know where to put it but it's ridiculous, so let's place it here.

840 kg of cocaine approximately for 100 million Euro arrived in two Czech supermarkets in boxes with bananas from Colombia. Someone fucked up and they actually ended up being distributed to supermarkets :D

What’s the brand, so I can go to my local super markets and inspect some boxes myself

Slight asymmetry is to be expected on 3 man turrets. The Abrams takes that to the extreme with the right cheek being an entirely different thickness and angle compared to the left cheek. But you'll find it on basically anything with a conventional loader

Those both look like left “cheeks”, judging by the position of the smoke grenades on them, and the merk 4’s turret is pretty symmetrical on the outside, from the pictures I’m looking at. I think weidz was referring to the bolts, or how there is a cutout between the bolts on the closer module, while the further module is smooth between the bolts.

Has anyone ever found an official source that explains why the Merk 4 turret modules are listed as 'explosive'?

It's gotta be that SLERA idea they patented, right?

Hmmm, the structures on the inside of the wedge are interesting: the bracing would suggest a physically heavy plate, or a lot of force is/can be applied to that area.

Also, I’m curious what could be on that Merkava’s fender that would warrant a censoring.

Belarus JDB made AK-74M into a *dramatic pause* bullpup *thunder strikes in the background*

Note jihaded grip-less GP-25 on that abomination. Charging handles looks like is now on top, under rail-handle. Front iron sight post was chopped away. And that small slip over safety/selector is not closed by some sort of plastic.

Thought it was type 95 rifle at first, so when is this thing coming to call of duty?

If Russia was just fighting what Ukraine had (or was just fighting Ukraine for that matter) the war would have been over in the now infamous 72 hour claims.

I wouldn’t think it would have been over in 72 hours, even without donations to Ukraine. The mad max “drive fast” strategy the Russian army was using was bound to stall out quickly, taking into account how little they protected their logistics at that point in the war. It would be much more favorable on the Russians side if there was no external assistance, but I don’t think that Ukraine would have been steam rolled as implied without the military aid. I’m just an idiot on the internet though, but willing to be proven wrong on the appropriate thread.

  6. It looks like they’re panic buying stuff, but I don’t see a point: on even a second thought, the Russian army is having a hard time pushing through what little the Ukraine had. Ukraine industry was in very poor shape before this invasion, and the quality of the few military vehicles and arms she did produce was questionable, and Poland is in a much better place than Ukraine. After the poor showing of the Russian army, they are probably not going to attempt any invasion against mildly competent forces in a while, which would give Poland enough time to develop her arms industry and get some of those projects into production.

On top of that, the breech designs Rheinmetall has shown have a more sophisticated wedge design that existing 120mm guns which should provide better distribution of the firing loads and thus lower peak stress:

What about this breach is more sophisticated compared to the L/44 or L/55’s breach? Wouldn’t the recoil system be the peice that reduces the peak stress on the vehicle mounting the weapon, and wouldn’t the propellant design and chemistry determine its peak pressure within the tube?

  8. I have a question: since there are most definitely some very intelligent and respected radar experts all over the world, why is the US the only Air Force  with not 1, but 2 “stealth” aircraft? The only answer I can reasonably come up with is we just have the economy to brute force it without having to worry about taxing the citizens into oblivion, but even still it’s been a while, and no one else have been successful?

The M1 is a mechanical piece of sh*t and is expensive to operate. Big mistake for Poland to buy it. They’re gonna be operating a tank with a 50 year old engine. The K2 would best meet Polands requirements.

M1 availability rates are pretty comparable to other nations tanks, but I agree she is expensive and fuel hungry.

Does anyone know if the AGT in the Abrams has had any mid life improvements? Would make sense, M1 is getting close to 40 years old by now, there has to have been some kind of technology improvements since the late 80s.

Czech MOD is preparing to replace the Vz. 95 camo with a new one called MAD21. The new one shall replace both the forest and the desert variant of the old one with just one universal one. At this moment the testing is still ongoing and no final decision was taken.

Not the best photos but they give at least some general idea...

All I see is a picture of a forest and a brick wall :D

I guess they’re planning on staying in relatively green deserts, because when I was in the dry parts of Utah this past month, any green plants would stand out from the sand and rock.
