  1. Next gen tank protection needs HEMP and some serious electrical systems. I'd imagine that the Israelis and Koreans have some thoughts right now.
  2. That's by design. It's manportable and the US really hasn't had a need to invest in longer range ATGMs something along the lines of the Spike until recently.
  3. That seems a little bit more affordable.
  4. Elbit's new SPH replacement finally breaks cover. https://www.janes.com/defence-news/news-detail/elbit-systems-progressing-new-sigma-155-mm-artillery-system
  5. The author literally says it's from Israel's Carmel program. Wonder if they're going to use Israeli brains and what not or try to indigenize all of the technologies.
  6. It was a RFI. https://www.janes.com/defence-news/news-detail/rafael-offers-its-next-gen-combat-vehicle-suite-to-south-korea

  8. Only way I could see it working in SAM mode. It might work like the Starstreak but that would be limited.
  9. Is that a radar or a datalink? If it flies in a flat trajectory don't imagine it will be range of the launcher for too long. Does it have a SAM mode?
  10. https://www.washingtonpost.com/video-games/2020/07/28/new-israeli-tank-features-xbox-controllers-ai-honed-by-starcraft-ii-doom/ IAI is training their AI system on video games
  11. The whole point of using an autoloader is so can reduce the number of crew. I guess that's not a factor if you're just using conscripts.
  12. But you still need the extra crew member for manual operation. The notional K9A2 is supposed to have an autoloader.
  13. The 1% is always the hardest. Have to make sure the vehicle can still fight even if it takes damage and the Koreans have a lot of conscripts.
