On a purely random interest level, I've seen this numerology obsession from white power nuts before, both here in Canada and in the US, so I find this to be unsurprising at best. Tho at least with their numerology, they present a closer to fact basis for their reality than the current US Republican party mouthpieces.

Because they are akin to dumb teenagers rebelling against mommy and daddy and trying to be cool and edgy. Back in the 80s you did it with blue jeans, chewing gum, and "The Police" cassettes, because enough veterans were still alive for even dumb teenagers to realize what a horror the nazis were.

Just look, Nuland with that Ukrainian guy, Andrey Parubiy, not a neo-Nazi member of any questinable organisation, talking about arming Ukraine.
One of public crap, that he allowed to himself to spew around was puting special marks on passports of those Ukrainians, who work in Russia: "Those who work in Russia, are not our allies, so we spit on their interests" (direct translation).
He was one of main creators of National Guards, who were composed of Maidummies, Right Sector/Patrioty Ukrainy, and other noble organisations members.
Saakashvili and Parubiy. Saakashvili managed to do a crashtest of Georgia, now he is trying to do same with Ukraine. Note: Saakashvili is suspect and he is under investigation by Georgian authorities of his 'hard work' in 2004-2013, but from 2012 was hiding in USA. And that guy was appointed in 2015 as manager of arms deliveries in Ukraine.
The think is that i have a way to read/watch Ukrainian medias raw, unedited by Western or our medias. All this neo-Nazism is not new, just look at UNA-UNSO activities in 1990s in Chechnya, Ukrainian BUKs in 2008 conflict with Georgia, a many cases when Ukrainians named streets after their beloved comrade Stepan Bandera, their rhetorics in latest years and recent attempt to officialy recognize him as a hero of Ukraine (!) (Ukr. gov. dodged this fate by 7 votes. 7 f cking votes.). And so on, so forth.
Aidar battalion (known as "We fight Jewish-Moskovite scum" battalion) is no longer a force - it was crushed and re-formated into other unit, recently. By Chechens, lol.

Pascal reacted to Collimatrix in Fascists in Ukraine
I confess; when EE or Looser or whoever characterized the Ukrainian government's muscle as fascists, I thought this was Russian hyperbole. I was aware of the presence of far-right elements during the protest period, and had no doubt that there were some neo-nazis in the ranks currently, the characterization seemed exaggerated. After all, the Soviets had accused NATO of similar things, and surely the Ukrainians wouldn't be so dumb as to openly play into the role of villains in the Russian cultural monomyth of the Great Patriotic War?
I am reconsidering this view.

Apparently australia has 35,000 citizens worthy of chinese intelligence. No doubt this breaks all sorts of Australian privacy laws, but how to enforce it.

By going to the article from where the photo is there's a Mathew Moss under each picture, guess that collection is of Mathew Moss, but surely there will be a direct reply any second.

That's interesting.
Why wasn't the turning point when russian soldiers invaded Crimea and parts of Ukraine under the letter that Yanukovych asked Putin to send troops there.Later, no surprise that the letter which was presented at U.N by Churkin was a fake and after that Churkin died and Kremlin now denies they got any kind of letter/statement.

Pascal reacted to SH_MM in The Leopard 2 Thread
Shouldn't matter. The prototypes were built with weight simulators, not the actual armor packages. The different shape of the mantlet is related to the different guns mounted on the tank.
It is a drawing based on documents from the German national archives. Wiedzmin made it based on the descriptions/drawings in the declassified documents. You will find more about it in the earlier pages of the topic.
Only new production Leopard 2A4 tanks made in and after 1988 received newer armor. All earlier Leopard 2A4s were made with the same armor as the original Leopard 2 production model of 1979. This armor is probably very similar to the one designed for the Leopard 2AV in 1976, as it is based on it.
Yes. The OPHELIOS second-generation thermal imager for the commander was created as cost saving measure, as the new European second-generation thermal imaging modules (developed during the TRIGAT project that included Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK) weren't available in time for production and would have very expensive during the early 1990s. The plan was to later replace OPHELIOS's thermal imaging module and the WBG-X completely with a new design utilizing the TRIGAT's thermal imaging module (that was introduced with the UHT Tiger in German service and also used on various other weapon systems such as the other Tiger variants, the Leclerc, the Warrior IFV, the Scimitar scout vehicle and the T-90A as part of different thermal imagers), but upgrade plans came to an halt when the KWS III was canceled.

Pascal reacted to SH_MM in The Leopard 2 Thread
Not as far as I am aware. The difference in image quality also wouldn't be very large, as OPHELIOS was very simple in order to be cost effective in the early 1990s, when the manufacturing of electronic components still was cumbersome and expensive.

What you are talking about is the second wave for the 76mm guns.

Distances of High Explosive bursts penetration capabilities, i figured general AFV thread is a good place for this, after all, all AFV have some sort of requirement to this regard. Some bits of M2 AP too.
