This sort of stuff really gets me excited. Now that barrels are almost hashed out thanks to the wonders of ECM milling technology, it becomes significantly harder to limit the global proliferation of firearms by people DIYing them on their own. Basically, this guy along with another guy I know called Jeff have been successful not only in rifling a steel barrel, but also drilling it completely. The ECM process doesn't care about hardness or whatever, only conductivity as far as milling goes so even 4150 steel is no problemo.

Sure there's still limitations regarding making nitrocellulose propellant, but Jeff has some cool ideas on making a "boom loom" that takes cotton string through an automated process that nitrates it and then washes it, along with other neat things like nichrome electrical primers. I think the future looks pretty bright, don't really need to depend on an incompetent NRA or some men in black dresses if technology marches forward enough.

Hoo boy a shitstorm is coming. A lot of other outlets reporting on migrants held at gunpoint, but so far I've only seen footage after border patrol has already arrived. WSJ also hasn't reported on any such instances. While citizens arrests aren't legal in this case since illegal immigration is a misdemeanor and not a felony, if the militia was careful enough they could get away with arguing that they were just following migrants, calling border patrol, and not attempting to pretend to be law enforcement at all. Basically just testify to carrying rifles for self defense. Anything more than that will get them turbo owned by the long arm of the law.

I'd much rather see border patrol doing this sort of work instead. Not really comfortable with this sort of thing happening but at the same time I understand where they're coming from. If the courts rule in favor of these people, in conjunction with gun sanctuary counties, it'll be quite the clusterfuck.

I've got some material you guys might be interested in from a guy called Jeff.

Partially 3d printed revolving pump action shotgun he's done some work on. While it looks good here it still needs a bit more work from him.

He's also done some really interesting work with home ECM drilling. I've got a link to an album of his short videos and pictures of his progress.

This doesn't include the hobbyist work he's done on DIY nichrome electric primers or the ECM rifling he's successfully been able to do, if you guys are interested I'd be happy to try and post up that material for you, along with any other 3d printed gun tidbits that are relevant.
