    Update when things got clearer. Three victims died, two males and one female. Fifteen people were seriously injured including one policeman. One perpetrator shot and killed by the police. He was armed with assault rifle, several handguns and dummy explosive belt. The terrorist was North Macedonian born in Vienna and an IS sympathizer. He was sentenced last April for an attemp to join ISIS but he was released from jail in December. Other possible attackers are being searcherd for.

    I have noticed that too. Are Azeri Su-25 able to launch KAB-L bomb series? They got all of their ones by quite obscure ways and all of those were quite old used ones (one of those is even ex-Czechoslovak/ex-Georgian). Was there ever any news about their modernisation (not saying it could not have been done). In theory it could be also a cover action for Turkish F-16 strike (again not saying it was one).

    No, but that doesn't change a thing on what I wrote. Cruise speed of Tornado is somewhere between 900-1000 km/h. It means that such target (flying strictly straight) can be hit by something flying the same speed without advanced guidance by radar only on purely theoretical conditions (even with the radar it's near impossible), i.e. when the target and the missile somehow manage to get to fly near directly against each other in the near same altitude. The probability of such encounter is close to zero. There is a reason why every existing AA missile is way faster than that (and IR guided missiles especially).

    Thanks for clarification. Armenians claim to have shot down a manned aircraft. Hard to say from the video but the aftermath does not look like usual UAVs.

    IMHO that missile is way too slow for that. It could hit basically only if the jet would fly directly against it in the same altitude. Even to get into a scenario like that would be such an extremely lucky coincidence that I can't believe it actually happened. I mean, in theory it's possible but only in theory.

    From that pdf: Max- thrust 392N, maximum operating altitude 8000 m, maximum speed 1000 km/h. Hard to believe they could hit a Tornado with that.

    Davit Bek is in Armenia proper, just across the border from Qubadli which is most likely under control of Azeris. In the area Azeris using a lot of white phosporus against units in the forests. Azeris captured the gold mines of Vejnali. Wargonzo captured one successfull AD engagement.

    To me it looks like this missile is rather slow (large wings, turbojet engine), i.e. probably not useful for engaging jets. Still probably good for UAVs or helicopters.

    It's a replica. There is no airworthy original Me-262 AFAIK. If you want to see a static one, here in Prague we have two which can be called original ones even though they were built only after the war (the production equipment was moved to Czechoslovakia at the end of the war and after the war 12 planes were built and used for few years by Czechoslovak airforce, one crashed and two are preserved in Prague Kbely museum - one A-1a (Avia S-92) and one B-1a (Avia CS-92).

    For me the issue is for what it shall be used? The rockets have rather short range even when fired from an aircraft and the accuracy is greatly reduced already by firing them from helicopters instead of fixed-winged aircraft (at least I remember seeing a table showing that) and they are designed to be a direct fire weapon, not an artillery rocket. Direct-fire weapons generally need to have certain precision or they need to be at least fired from above so they don't become just a waste of ordonance hiting the ground and the sky instead of the target. So what can you do with an UGV armed with them? To fire a volley on a nearby apartment block? Isn't that too little?

    Today both sides attacked civilian targets with plenty of civilians killed (Stepanakert, Shushi in NKR and Barda in Azerbaijan)... Meanwhile another UAV most likely shot down by EW because of no visible shrapnel damage (as all downed UAVs shown in the last week or so). Does anyone know what type of UAV is it? It looks similar to ThunderB but not same. It's second one shot down this week. And another poor An-2...

    Downed Harop wreckage. Interestingly all the latest wreckage shown by Armenian side in the last few days suggests that the UAVs were brought down by EW-means and not by missiles (none of them show any shrapnel damage, including the TB2).
