  1. Navy Unveils Next-Generation DDG(X) Warship Concept with Hypersonic Missiles, Lasers Source: https://news.usni.org/2022/01/12/navy-unveils-next-generation-ddgx-warship-concept-with-hypersonic-missiles-lasers "Notionally, the new ship could power up to 600-kilowatt lasers that would be powerful enough to interdict hostile guided missiles." "The current DDG-51s field 96 MK-41 VLS cells and USNI News understands that Navy requirements keep the VLS cells for DDG(X) about the same." "The SPY-6 air search radar could expand from a 14-foot aperture to an 18-foot aperture that would increase the sensitivity of the sensor. The Navy is also planning for a modular payload space for different future missions."
  2. Did ARTEC not try to enter the competition with the Boxer?
  3. Saab brings in Nammo, Nordic Shelter for ground-launched small diameter bomb campaign Source: https://defbrief.com/2021/11/30/saab-brings-in-nammo-nordic-shelter-for-ground-launched-small-diameter-bomb-campaign/ I never saw this system before. From what I understand, it launches a small diameter bomb (GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb?) to a certain height and then it will glide to the target. Without needing something in the air. The costs will be reduced I think and you have more options to prove artillery/ air support? Any thoughts about this system? Video of the launch: https://www.defensenews.com/land/2015/03/10/boeing-saab-unveil-ground-launched-sdb/

Not completely sure, but I believe that the air intake of the Naval Strike Missle also contains some features in order to reduce the RCS. Also i quite liked the book, Skunk Works.
  5. Quite a lot of similarities with the dutch MLU.
  6. Review: Gökdeniz 35mm naval short-range air defense system CIWS for Istanbul-class frigate According to information released by the Turkish naval defense industry, the new generation of Istanbul-class frigate will be fitted with the Gökdeniz naval version of the Korkut self-propelled short-range air defense system that will be mounted on new Istanbul-class of Turkish Navy. a naval version of the Korkut short-range air defense system that was unveiled in May 2019 during the defense exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey. Source: https://www.navyrecognition.com/index.php/focus-analysis/naval-technology/9650-review-goekdeniz-35mm-naval-short-range-air-defense-system-ciws-for-istanbul-class-frigate.html Don't know if it has being posted before, but here it is. Kinda looks like the copied the design of the ASELSAN KORKUT. Wonder how many rounds it has, the Korkut has 400 according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KORKUT. Other systems have like twice that. One even 10 times that amount! CIWS with no rotary cannon, the fire rate is also quite low compared to the others. I miss the Avenger..
  7. Can we think of any reasons why they didn't put the radar boxes at the side of the turret instead of the front? As they did with the Abrams and Merkava?
  8. Is the NERA specifically placed in order to fortify the crew compartment in the turret? The line of NERA on top, between the patches for the crew hatches (?), is also placed interesting. Image suggest, that NERA placement on top, is to protect the area's where the blue stuff is not possible?
  9. Correct me if I am wrong, but does Hungary not already have a new radar network? Source: https://hungarytoday.hu/hungary-deploys-new-3d-nato-radar-medina-hill-15256/ Looks like they have Selex RAT-31DL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selex_RAT-31DL
  10. Probably true. So they only placed forces there to make sure that the conflict does not spill over?
  11. Source: https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2020/11/05/nagorno-karabakh-briefing-nov-5-a71883 What i meant is, what is Iran planning to do? Also take in some land from the NKR? Help Azerbaijan?
  12. Why is Iran moving forces to the border?
  13. How come that there arent any activities in Nakhchivan?
  14. Will all these videos it looks like Armenian is getting steam rolled by a bunch of inexpensive drones. The amount of combat footage a lot.
