  1. Will all these videos it looks like Armenian is getting steam rolled by a bunch of inexpensive drones. The amount of combat footage a lot.
  2. Just read a good article about the development of the Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers. Link: https://www.savetheroyalnavy.org/development-of-the-queen-elizabeth-class-aircraft-carrier-a-design-history/ Anyone has some pdf/websites that give more information about the sensory and radar systems of the QEC ships? I mostly got new websites, nothing really in detail.
  3. Armenia is getting a lot of causalities and equipment losses by UAV's and such, are they not?
  4. Agreed. What type of defense would be suitable against such targets. That a not easily trackable on a large scale? Is a suitable option, the German Skyshield? Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyshield
  5. Thank you for sharing. Awesome video. They also mentioned Hollandse signaalapparaten (HS). A predecessor to the now called company Thales Netherlands. The IX83 system and the flycatcher system of HS seem to make the basis of the goalkeeper. Interesting to see the video.
  6. Japan's converted Izumo-class carriers will not feature a ‘ski-jump' ramp for F-35B operations So the front part of the ship will be squire instead of a point shape. I wonder how they will change the structure of the ship. Just by welding some parts to it, or cut the front part off and just install a new section. Still a awesome ship. I really liked the idea of a helicopter based carrier. I think, relatively cheaper and smaller. More accessible to smaller nations.
  7. The USA bringing in more equipment, it is going to be interesting how Russia will respond. Does the Syrian government gave any reaction?
  8. Would that mean that Russia would be more focused on strategic offensive actions instead of the more hyper warfare. I always imagined Russia wan't only to defend their own land. Nothing major that would require a aircraft carrier. Still i think the Kirov-class battlecruiser also adds a lot of offensive strength.
  9. Why is Russia developing a aircraft carrier? Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_23000E & https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/23000.htm I always thought Russia might focus more on ships with a lot of missile capabilities. For example, the Kirov-class battlecruiser. Now they are thinking of adding the future S500 to that aircraft carrier. Anyone got some thoughts about this?
  10. Japan accidentally leaks image of new hypersonic anti-ship missile. Source 1: https://twitter.com/Defence_blog/status/1281125899186962432/photo/1 Source 2:https://defence-blog.com/news/japan-accidentally-leaks-image-of-new-hypersonic-anti-ship-missile.html Japan was also planning to develope the ASM-3. An supersonic anti-ship missile. By Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Source 3: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASM-3#cite_note-5 Does anyone have some more information about the hypersonic anti-ship missile?
  11. UK navy plans to create carrier strike groups with her two aircraft carrier's. https://www.forces.net/news/what-makes-carrier-strike-group But the problems with the plan are already coming. Not enough funding it seems. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-53186611?intlink_from_url=https://www.bbc.com/news/topics/c40rjmqdq1lt/royal-navy&link_location=live-reporting-story The layout of the group might look like: - Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier; - Type 45 guided missile destroyers for anti-aircraft and anti-missile warfare;
