x4 RBS-70s and a 12.7mm? Gun looks a little small in the render. -
I'm curious, what is the public opinion in Russia on their involvement in Syria at this point?

Export market? Or perhaps someone would want a smaller vehicle as opposed to the bigger 8x8. I suppose it might be related to this: -
So will this mid-life upgrade package produce a new variant name? I would ask about the C2/Mk 2, but in looking this up I had come across some of you posting on the War Thunder forum regarding the matter.

My initial reaction to the above was that it's a photoshopped image. However, the lighting on it seems consistent across the vehicle. Image searching doesn't bring up anything for it. Assuming then that it's real, I don't really see what the point of it would be unless it was for some reason done just to test if it was even possible. I suspect the Centauro 2's turret armor isn't anywhere close to the Ariete's, and the tank already has a 120mm. I guess this would mean that the two vehicles have the same turret ring diameter. Please share if you know more.

I don't think there are any stains, it's just residual exhaust smoke hanging about. -

Would appear to be a BMO-T, if that is what you meant. It's still an interesting vehicle. I didn't think the BTR-T was ever adopted by anyone, was it? Also, sad BMD is sad.- 5,188 replies

A bit late, but the HMS Prince of Wales went to sea on the 19th. That makes two floating flattops for Britain now. -

Looks like they got a hold of one of the vehicles that was used in Red Dawn.

The Soviet Tank Thread: Transversely Mounted 1000hp Engines

I can't say that I had seen this before. Of course, while looking it up, I then see that LoooSer had posted this here before several years ago (and I doubt you went back in this thread and saw it). He called it the Obzhimka, and it is an apparent mating of the experimental Object 934 hull and a turret similar in shape and armament to the 2S31 that would come later. Here is a Livejournal post by user raigap that talks about it briefly. Not sure if it is 100% factual. While I was searching for this thing, I realized that the Obj. 934 had several other variants that I was unaware of. Here are another two; the first testing a 152mm cannon and the second sporting more of a "BMPT" armament with autocannons and missiles(?).- 5,188 replies

Took me a while to figure it out, but the vehicle that first appears at 0:57 would seem to be UDI's test rig for the Advanced Assault Amphibian Vehicle, a project that would become the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (which GDLS won the contract to further develop.) I am surprised this thing is still around and in private hands.

I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps they were training for the scenario in with it did not work, or maybe they just felt particularly inclined to exercise a bit more.- 1,903 replies

Nice of you to try and find it, guess next time you'll have to take an acetylene torch along. I don't suppose the museum staff/curator would know anything about this particular vehicle in question.- 1,903 replies
