Been reported before, but it does confirm some of my suspicions.

Rafael and LM are now cooperating on the SPICE kit, will market it jointly:

  1. Rafael needs it to integrate it to the F-35 and put it on higher priority within LM for that (many more munitions in queue).
  2. Will allow Rafael to better market its low-RCS SPICE-250 munition, which unlike the SPICE-1000/2000 was designed from the ground up as a stealthy munition and not based on existing warheads. Makes more sense to buy stealthy missiles/bombs when you have a stealthy plane, and tapping into the F-35 payload list is a strategic marketing advantage.
  3. Gives the US a gateway to a more complete solution to GPS-denied environments.

   Earlier, the general director of Tekhmash, Vladimir Lepin, reported that the Monolith rocket would cost no more than its predecessor, the S-13 rocket. Unguided 122-mm caliber S-13 rocket was developed in the 1970s, and later other versions with different warheads were designed.

62.5% of the new system must be developed from scratch and then manufactured, so I call BS on it costing the same as an old S-13 you can get at your local supermarket.

62.5% of the new system must be developed from scratch and then manufactured, so I call BS on it costing the same as an old S-13 you can get at your local supermarket.

   You count %-ate based on number of components, not their weight/cost/etc. They probably are re-using some of components from other guided missiles, so cost could be low.

 

   Also, we don't know what kind of price they were counting/comparing - export or "internal" for military, as they are very different. For example small arms for military cost like ~25% less than on export or civilian market (for civilian versions), also they didn't said for which size of production run this claimed price is true. There are more things in it that are not on the surface or obvious.

Gripen E will not be present at the Swiss Air 2030 tests

The reason is that the flight tests have been designed to only evaluate aircraft that are operationally ready in 2019. Gripen E will enter into operational service years before Switzerland has scheduled deliveries and will meet all its defined capabilities. However, the Gripen E development plan does not match the Swiss plan to perform flight tests with aircraft that are operationally ready in 2019. Therefore, Saab has decided not to attend the Swiss flight tests in Payerne 24-28 June.

Some dimensions:

 

19m lenght

14m wingspan

mass < 40t with all weapons loaded

 

compared to the Rafale and it's 15m length, 11m wingspan and a max weight of 24t.

 

With the increased weight the engine is also supposed to be more powerful than the current M88 of the Rafale (max temperature should go up from 1850 K to 2100 K, I guess that they made a mistake by saying °C in the article)

Overall it kinda look like a blend of the F-22 and the YF-23.

 

What's important to note is it's weight and overall dimensions, this will have a huge impact on the dimensioning of the future carrier (which studies started this year).

   Structurally, ARRW, (reportedly), is a solid-fuel ballistic missile with a warhead in the form of a detachable Tactical Boost Glide (TBG) hypersonic warhead with a rocket engine, which has been created for some time under the auspices of the DARPA agency. The characteristics of the system are unknown, although unofficially its speed to the TBG is attributed to speeds of up to 20M. Presumably, the first aerodynamic tests of the TBG combat unit were conducted in March 2019. According to some sources, the ARRW rocket is planned to be built primarily in the nuclear version.

Thought they may currently have a problem since the engines were supposed to be American F-110 but relationships between Turkey and the US right now are frosty.

Russia apparently expressed interest for a partnership to supply engines if needed.

“It has a range greater than AMRAAM, different capabilities onboard to go after that specific [next generation air-dominance] threat set, but certainly longer legs,” he said. “As I bring up JATM production, AMRAAM production is kind of going to start tailing off.”

The weapon is initially planned to fly in the F-22’s main weapons bay and on the Navy’s F/A-18, with the F-35 to follow. Flight tests will begin in 2021 and initial operational capability is slated for 2022, Genatempo said.

   Some information surfaced about new missile shown on Mi-28NM - LMUR (light multipurpose guided missile, possibly official name for Izdelie 305), people were able to connect dots when designer gave official name to that missile.

   Taking into account that in TVZvezda show designers told that helicopter modernization was done in the first place to use that missile it is safe to assume that Izdelie 305 is LMUR. 

   From images of that missile we can conclude that it is 2+ meters long, around ~200-220 mm caliber. Taking into account that Mi-28NM can carry 4 500kg bombs we can predict possible weight of new missile - around 200-250 kg each (8 missiles per gunship with 2 tons max payload). 

   Also, it is very likely that current launchers for those missiles are test models.

 

   Guidance system (again from Izveztiya article linked above):

   Funny how similar parts of LMUR sounds to Hermes-A

   Missile was supposed to use rather big HE warhead (around 40-46 kg) to defeat targets (although probably that was planned only for ground-launched version with 100 km range) and it could deal with wide range of targets, not only tanks and AFVs. Difference is that Hermes-A was supposed to be lighter and each Ka-52 could had carry 16 of those things.

 

   Also, that long range version of Hermes (100 km) have connection to another weapon system - VTRK. So at this point i can say that Hermes program was probably dead for long time, but parts of it were re-used or under finishing development for weapon systems with different names.
