Sturgeon
One of the points that had been made to me before is that slander and libel cases - especially ones against war heroes - are tremendously hard to win. Jesse Ventura won his against Chris Kyle.
xthetenth
Chris Kyle got SEALs to support Jesse Ventura to a man if I remember right. That's a pretty serious achievement.
Belesarius
I'm pretty much of the opinion that if you make it through SEAL training, and see combat as a SEAL, you pretty much have nothing left to prove to anyone. No need to lie about your service to make yourself look better. The article mentioned his mental state might be a PTSD symptom. I wouldn't write it off totally, but it sounds like Chris Kyle was a bit of a dick in general. Sturgeon
Sturgeon
I distinctly remember when his book came out, reading the subtitle and think "yeah, right." Belesarius
Belesarius
Exactly. If you want to do a true story and call it 'American Badass', Gunny Hathcock's story would pretty much be the epitome of what would qualify.
