MOSCOW, July 1 - RIA Novosti. The production of the 5.45-mm avtomat A-545 (index 6P67), created for Ratnik along with the AK-12, started at the Degtyarev plant, a source in the military-industrial complex told RIA Novosti.
"The contract with the Ministry of Defense has been signed, production is underway," the source said. However, he did not specify how many guns the military department ordered.

Well, we should start to get pics of those things in units in near future. Interesting to see "final form" of A-545.

MOSCOW, July 2 - RIA News. In Russia this year they will begin to develop a new light machine gun based on RPK-16, a source in the military-industrial complex told RIA Novosti.
He recalled that RPK-16 was created several years ago, it went through a full cycle of preliminary tests, entered the army and was used in all climatic zones.

"Based on the results of this operation, a number of comments and proposals were highlighted, which, according to the military, should be implemented. This information has been compiled, and development of a new machine gun will begin this year," the source said.

According to him, now RPK-16 does not allow to implement some decisions that are important for the military.
“This, in essence, will be a new, different machine gun,” the source emphasized.

Maybe a belt fed version?

Uknown. It is possible that military found barrel change feature useless for them, so they want to delete it and save weight (like ~0.5-1kg). Maybe there is something else, hard to say for sure.

The bipod is not included in the standard equipment of the SVD rifle.  Where did ordinary soldiers get these bipods?

Did they install bipods on a rifle on their own?

Thank)

Yes, it is very likely that they bought those and put them on rifle on their own.

   New Vietnamese rifles

Quote

The Z111 arms company of the SRV Ministry of Defense in Thanh Hoa has presented a new line of "nationally developed" small arms. The Z111 plant is known for the fact that in 2014 it launched a modern production line for the production of Israeli automatic rifles Galil ACE 31 (shortened model) and Galil ACE 32 under the license of the Israeli private company Israel Weapon Industries (IWI). Both samples are produced for the Soviet cartridge 7.62x39 mm. In 2018, the enterprise began licensed production of the Russian large-caliber sniper rifle OSV-96 "Cracker", and in 2019 there began a massive modernization of the Kalashnikov assault rifles in service with the Vietnamese People's Army.

Now, the largest arms company in Vietnam has presented new automatic rifles STV-410 and STV-416 of 7.62x39 mm caliber based on the Kalashnikov assault rifle and its Israeli clone.

The state tests of the submachine gun developed as part of the Vityaz-MO R&D have been completed. The interdepartmental commission recognized the product as suitable for mass production and recommended that it be named “9 mm Kalashnikov PPK-20 submachine gun” to perpetuate the memory of Viktor Mikhailovich Kalashnikov.

When performing the development work, the serially produced Vityaz-SN submachine gun was adopted as the base. At the development stage, the feedback given during the serial production of the product were taken into account and the design and composition of the product were brought in accordance with the requirements of the tactical and technical task. In the Kalashnikov submachine gun, the ergonomics of the weapon and the equipment attached to it have been significantly improved, the reliability of the product has been increased, and a low-noise firing device has been introduced into its kit.
