LoooSeR
After our raid on Sevastopol we can advance futher into Russian territory to our ultimate target - Moscow. Thanks to our successful sabotage of Sevastopol military base SGB now can't bring much reinforcements and support to this fight. Spoiler Sokolov is our opponent yet again. He is adaptable commander, but we will limit his ability to fight me. Plan is usual for this map - lock enemies in 2.5 chokepoints in the middle and push through one, with D-S line being least defended and majority of troops being near/at factory yard. This will allow to limit Georgiy ability to adapt and make situation sort of controllable and manageable. 2 Pioneers squad are needed for uplinks capturing job - one will go from Whiskey to Lima and then Yankee, while second team will get from Zulu to Sierra and establish defensive position on S. A lot of forests will be a problem because of infantry that can crawl through them while having pretty good cover and defilade. So majority of Shpetsnaz troops needs to be defeated at central area and we will push enemy, we need to get to their LZ to cut Sokolov's troops from forests and buildings. UAV is going to scout area ahead, this thing allows to not call helicopters early. And fighting for factory yard begins. First contacts Spoiler Kamovs starts our brawl on central line with attacking US army infantry that pushed to factory. We are entering this firefight with our own rockets and artillery shells. Sokolovs striked us with EMP. That is early Command Point throwing out of window. Although now Blackfoots are not able to fight back and Kamovs can fuck them up. At least Russian cannon fodder was finished. Sokolov probably disabled us to help BTRs to drop infantry to Foxtrot. Kamovs tried to attack CV, but good armor allowed it to hold all blows. But looks like Sokolov pushed tanks to Foxtrot as well, he prepare attack on our troops near Yankee/Lima. Blackfoots are going futher into SGB part of map to scout what is happening there. CV's UGVs are now acting as targets for tanks, while SPGs are preparing their MRLS pods. SPGs are back at shelling tanks, i'm trying to make Sokolov order them to retreat, we don't have units on the ground to stop heavy armor with SPAAG support. Ogres be gone! BTRs are pushing factory ground, we have only IFVs dropping engineers to Yankee. Spartans and Blyadfoots are called to support them. Good thing that we finished BTRs before they started to seriously pressure IFVs. Pioneers are going for Yankee, Sokolov now tries to attack us with SPGs, with Kamovs spotting for Zhukovs. IFVs are going to push forward with gunships support to get to artillery. But looks like Kamovs are going for us. Spartans are shelling enemies at Delta, Army troops are moving to hold a highway near factort backyard and we are destroying those Kamovs. Sokolov once again hit us with EMP, this can be really bad for Blackfoots. Although they managed to spot KV-20s positon near Bravo. And we didn't managed to recover yet, heh. Thanks to Pioneers that were firing their missiles and shot down Kamovs we don't have casualties. Now we are going for artillery, which already manage to scoop up one IFV. With expectation of Blackfoots finishing those things i called tanks, we are preparing to counter-attack SGB forces. Army troops are arriving to block road and give us good starting point for an assault. Georgiy's SPGs are done, but looks like SGB still have number of forces not far from Foxtrot in forests. Exchange of big Kabooms! Spoiler So far situation looks like this. Spartans are shelling enemy 6 (SPAAGs/transporters), Pioneers are moving from Lima to Sierra, 2 gunships units are working on Sokolov's troops in rear of SGB territory. Looks good. BTRs at Delta, they are starting to form a column to go somewhere. Spartans managed to fuck them hard enough, they tried to get close to Sierra, but group of American soldiers scared them away. Pioneers are nearly here, and CV is driving to Sierra as well. Pioneers prepared a minefield for any Georgiy's attempt to go for Yankee. 2nd platoon of tanks is unloading from cargo convertoplane. Damn, that was a bad timing on taking Sierra while forces were moving through chokepoint, 4 units are defeated, 1 unit is killed. Some of army forces remains combat capable and new platoon of armor is arriving to them. I need to re-establish task force to beat Sokolov. And maybe drop my WMD on him, too. Spartans are shelling enemies that are still spotted from defeated units. I have only 5 units active from 10 deployed. CV is slowly moving to Delta to secure it for Pioneers. We still need to cut resources for Sokolov. Also, this big group of troops don't really worth of Kinetic rods strike, Spartans can deal with them on their own. As expected Sokolov filled forests with angry partisan Russian Shpetsnaz soldiers. Spartans continue to shell one of those squads. Sokolov made a mistake - he stacked 3 of his units on top of each other. EMP strike with hold in place helicopters, while infantry is too slow to get away from my payback. Kamovs wanted to get to those juicy tanks, but EMP stopped them. HAHAHAHAHAHA, eat that! Breakthrough! Spoiler Georgiy tries to counterattack our push on his right flank, as he doesn't have troops anymore to fight back forces in F-Y-L triangle. Pioneers and CV have firepower to fight back, but Spartans assistance will allow to avoid casualties on our side. Force is back at full strength, we have IFVs now overwatching road near Foxtrot and Delta to block Kamovs from coming in and attacking troops, assembling for assault. EMP strike is called on this counter attacking formation to help IFVs to get away from BTRs. Tanks should arrive soon here to deal with SPAAGs. Now they are an easy target! Blyadfoots are helping to get those vultures shot down. BTRs are already being "serviced" by Schwarzkopfs. Now there are not troops left between us and Sokolov's LZ. We will fuck them up! Pushing to SGB landing area. Sokolov is going to be trashed! Spoiler Double team of Blackfoots is scouting areas ahead, tanks and IFVs are blocking road between F and A points, covering repositioning of SPGs. I'm preparing to trash Georgiy's troops on their LZ. Targets are appearing again, SPGs already shelling them. Another team appeared. They don't have good support, so we can destroy them, if we work accurate enough with positioning of troops. Blackfoots are moving away, AA capabilities of this formation againts rookie gunships is way too high for me. Tanks have a good target to land their rounds on. 3rd infantry squad is spotted, near Alpha. They looks like prepared an ambush on troops incoming from a road to Alpha. 4 squads are visible now. I assembled 2 attack formations, one is pushing on left of Alpha using coast road, second team will be moving between A and B. Gunships will gun down leftovers/survivors and isolated enemies. Tanks on left flank are doing well, crushing through infantry in building that tried to ambush us. We continue to work on enemies between A and B. Sokolov dropped even more infantry, we have like 80 guys active in targeted zone. Tanks are dealing with 2nd team of Shpetsnaz engineers. Was Sokolov bitten by Lemzenko? We killed about 120+ guys after WMD strikes at this point. And we are done! Wasn't smooth, especially with 1 KIA unit. LoooSeR
Previous victory manage to win campaign again (as we took territory connected to another region with no other connection to Russian-controlled land, so effectively took 2 regions, and it brought us to 28 taken regions, which is automatic win of campaign), and i decided to re-play it (gave 1 turn for SGB to take 1 region elsewhere so i can attack again and not win before getting to Moscow). So we are back to same Valley map. This time we have new opponent - Boris Pontekorvo. According to intel he prefer quick and efficient attacks, don't like to be in defence. This type of leader could be more dangerous on diferent terrain, but Valley layout dictates rather certain type of battle with limited tactics, thanks to central line consisting purely of chokepoints. Spoiler My plan is not going to change much, but taking into account more aggressive enemy some changes would be made. CV will advance slower and act as scout during early stages of battle, Spartans will be used to soften any attacks, while IFVs will be my QRF. After early stage of establishing our presence, i'm going to push forward wile adjusting tactics to what Boris will do and then trash him in same way as i dealt with Sokolov in previous attempt. Spartans are going to be a key for early and "middle" part of this operation. Kamovs are near D, we didn't even arrived to first uplinks and Pontekorvo already is not that far from our troops. Fastbacks are dropping Pioneers to Whiskey server hub. CV is sending UAV to get eyes on what comrade Boris is doing. Kamovs are moving forward, they are committed to early assault. First enemies are spotted, Spartans are deploying their cannons to start HE delivery and preparing to hit attackers. SGB troops are at Delta, transports are probably there as well. Delta Sierra Foxtrot Papa Tango Spoiler Boris is using conscripts as support to push to Sierra uplink, we need to stop this assault. This guy acts very aggressively, going for uplinks far away from his LZ, he evem didn't bothered to take any points near starting positions. Archon and UGVs arrived to block enemies and shield Spartans from any possible push by BTRs, acting as artillery spotter in the same time. SPG round killed Russian Army disposable manpower, leaving BTRs alone and easy to hit. I wanted to save MRLS strike for something more important, but US army troops are near BTRs and they are going to be chewed by those things pretty easily. UGVs managed to force Kamovs to go away. Great, now US soldiers are mixed up with those SPAAGs/APCs. Will stop firing artillery, for some time, until BTRs will mow them down like grass. Now we can resume. CV did it's job and was moved back to Lima, defend Spartans from other angles, while Fastbacks arrived to make Kamovs gone. Those hyenas with rotors are finishing last soldiers from those 2 squads that managed to mix themselves with BTRs. IFVs are doing their job while BTRs were moving away for few seconds. Now those douchebags are turning back, and something was spotted on other side of this dumpster river... Oh damn, those are SGB armored fist. IFVs now need to become small and leave only dust behind. Kamovs are retreating, BTRs were defeated by artillery so Blackfoots can start to work on tanks. I expected that those T-100s are fully loaded, so we use CV as distraction to make gunship's job easier. Looks like they don't have AA HMGs, so using Archon wasn't necessary. Now we will make Ogres to retreat. Bad timing of unit arriving to attack point gave us opportunity to defeat it. Foxtrot uplink looked like this when we arrived to central area. There are some troops in forest behind it. After somebody started to hack Foxtrot i ordered to blind fire it. Will move helicopters around until LOS established. lol All SGB troops on frontline are defeated. We can start to push enemy. Pffffffft, and that's all you got? Spoiler Gunships are scouting enemy side of Dumpster river, 4 squads of Russian Army infantry area on main road. Spartans will clear them out. Boris pushed tanks here, but Blackfoots don't have good angle on them, so we are moving them to other place. Hey, look, Zhukovs in same place as Sokolov's artillery was located during previous operation! Yankee is being activated by our engineers, with Recon team of US Army arriving to support them against any light forces attacks. Thanks to Blackfoots scouting i can move SPGs closer to river so they can throw their HE deeper into SGB territory. Zhukovs now are shelling Archon, while one of Saprtans teams now is in range to counterbattery Zhukovs. Blackfoots are getting away, they were damaged by Boris troops. Army troops now secured Factory backyard, so we can use as a defensive position. Instead of pushing through Foxtrot i ordered troops to go through S-D bridge.Tanks and artillery are dealing with Ogres, with Fastbacks taking cover behind Delta uplink. Tanks were defeated (they were under artillery attention for rather long time), now Kamovs arrived to escort infantry squad that was moving behind tanks. Look at those bustards that jumped out of nearby forest. Good thing that those are light infantry, AFVs will be able to steamroll them without much fuss. Spartans are shelling engineers near Bravo, while riflemens are punching bags for CV's drones and Fastblayds. Kamovs jumped on Blackfoots with missiles blazing. And we are doingthe same! Riflemens were defeated, so now we secured areas near Delta. WMD strike on our troops defeated CV and Fastbacks, both of which were really usefull in early stages of operation. Also, Boris killed his own defeated unit in this strike. Pffft, this missile strike is almost nothing compared to previous strike that downed 4 and killed 1 unit. Sorry, i missed. Spoiler Spartans continue to shell this group of engineers, Blackfoots are moving around them to see what Boris is deploying. Some of enemies SGB deployed were spotted, but looks like 2 of them i missed with my Kinetic rods strike. Kek. Kamovs are arriving to be destroyed by us. It feels as Boris Pontekorvo is becoming desperate. EMP strike made them easy target to deal with. T-100s should arrive soon, so separating Kamovs from them was necessary. House where one of engineers squad tried to find shelter from artillery rounds. Another group of Shpetsnaz operatives are now at Bravo, trying to hack it. Spartans are shelling those sneaky bastards. T-100s are kind of late for their funerals, slow and not punctual kind of chaps. I thought that those were tanks... but there are just BTRs. They will be way easier to put down than Ogres. Fastbacks are giving space for tanks to have fun, while also moving to a position to intercept new team of SGB choppers. EMP+Autocannons on IFVs work very well against air vehicles. We completely invaded and saturated SGB side of map on D-F-Y line. Second team of Kamovs are also going down, they are under fire of 6 our units. Let's add some Missile barrage to this nice dish. And a bit of EMP, just for additional salt. Nothing separates now from yet another LZ massacre. Yet another LZ massacre. Spoiler T-100s, without AA HMGs. Easy target for Blackfoots. EMP should help to keep those guys in place. Meanwhile we are taking Delta and enemy at this point have no hope to win this battle. Before EMP effect ended, our gunships are going away to avoid missile barrage from Kamovs. Other units can tank it better than damaged group of helicopters. Tanks cannons managed to find one of Kamovs, but they are getting close anyway. 1 tank lost, but this is not going to change anything. EMP strike called on Ogres, this will help to Schwarzkopfs to finish them. Those guys are fucked. 2nd team of Kamovs. Their missile barrage shot down 1 gunship in veteran squad, they will be evacuated. Fastbacks are going to deal with those helis. Kamovs are running away, we found a new target to play around. Spartans already changed their firing position, so they are joining us in this battalion-wide bullying activity. BTRs are charging our MBTs. This is deadly levels of desperation and stupidity. Second salvo of 120 mm HESH rounds against APCs. Good old tanks rush. I'm going to lock them with EMP strike, so we can win this battle without defeated units from missile barrages. Results: Spoiler Now we can attack futher. Just 2 steps before Moscow. LoooSeR
Now JSF is preparing to take over Sevastopol Naval base. We raided this base and it is not capable of using it's capabilities against us, but it is able to call air and ground support from other regions of Russia. Spoiler Our old opponent - Arkadiy Novikov, is back to fight against us. He is well-balanced and capable leader of SGB 13th battalion, he is more capable than Savilov IMO. Plan is rather simple - take S, L, F and Z positions, establish main defence at bridge between D and S, act depending on situation on flanks. Artillery will be able to cover both Zulu and Foxtrot, but futher than that SPGs will not be able to reach, so other uplinks are out of question. We are starting operation in loading area of Sevastopol port, outside of Military base walls. Map of battlespace. Yankee-Zulu hose is rather tight for big assault, but we need to keep our eyes on it. Sevastopolskiy ping-pong, part 1. Spoiler Fastbacks are supporting US troops, i'm using a fact that Novikov didn't parked tanks here, as some other commanders do. We cleared area, UAV is out to scout Arkadiy's troops. Arkadiy attacks Army infantry that was moving to Foxtrot, i'm trying to be cheeky and ordered to fire at fuel tank near Kamovs. Heh, HP bar is not fast enough to show how much it dropped, 1 chopper is down. Probably this squad of conscripts was also splashed by this explosion. Pfffftt, Spartans will finish them. I wanted to try one more such explosive trap, but Kamovs switched their attention to us, i'm pulling back Blackfoots to avoid taking damage. They are going to be dead in a moment. Looks like Arkadiy is moving towards Foxtrot, he captured A and now working on Bravo servers of ICBM defence system. UAV spotted artillery, now when Kamovs are down we should have ability to get to those things and fill them with rockets. Zhukovs are in our sights, but new team of Kamovs are arriving. We can do something for short amount of time, but then we need to get away. Now it is time to get out. Uhhhg, now we need to get back. And we are back! And Kamovs are back at same position! What is this, some kind of ping pong? Artillery is finished. I'm still want to grab Foxtrot, but Arkadiy's troops pressure make it to be a harder task. Thats why our tanks were moved here, to support Pioneers. Sevastopolskiy ping-pong, part 2. Spoiler BTRs picked wrong moment to show up. Arkadiy deployed Ogres, we need to get them destroyed before SGB will send them forward. Gunships should be good enough to lock them down and allow Spartans to finish them when gunships will fly back (AA HMGs). Kamovs are now retreating, so no air threats for short amount of time 4 units are attacking BTRs, they should be crushed very quickly. And they are done. Blackfoots are going for Ogres. Our gunships just started to fire and they are already under fire. They will not going to do shit against T-100s, especially because of heavy infantry support (they are near Delta). Spartans are going to take this vacant job of destroying SGB armored monsters. We are going away. Yet another group of SGB helicopters attacking this part of our side of this battlefield. Blackfoots lost 1 helicopter because of our attack on Ogres. Now they are back to fight with Russian choppers. Tanks are defeated by Spartans, we are currently ping ponging those Kamovs back from where they came. Now those guys are under serious crossfire and nearly dead. US army troops arrived to secure bridge, so my troops can be used elsewhere. Battle for point Foxtrot Spoiler Arkadiy managed to sneak in infantry squad to Foxtrot and now he tries to grab it right under my nose! First wave of US troops were cleared by Shpetsnaz troops, but second wave is moving in. SPGs finished those assholes, but they managed to grab Foxtrot. Pioneers should be able to take it. Pioneers are in bad situation as they are now under attack by Shpetsnaz light infantry squad. Blackfoots are trying to prevent this, but Wolfes are too effective against engineers. Light infantry are now hidden from ground troops, they are sneaking into guard tower, while Fastback IFVs are dealing with Kamovs, which are supporting Shpetsnaz operatives. Blackfoots were hit by missile barrage, i need to retreat them. Pioneers can't get out, as exit from hangar is looking at empty road, and it is under LOS of Shpetsnaz soldiers. Spartans are trying to do something against SGB SFs. Kamovs are down, Fastbacks managed to find a place to engage Shpetsnaz Wolfes. Our gunships were defeated. Wolfes managed to down our engineers. In the same time we are pushing bridge and Delta point, so things are not so bad. Fastbacks are under fire from 2 units, 1 IFV was blown up and now they are retreating. Schwarzkopf tanks also lost 1 tank during attack on Delta, but they managed to smash SGB opeartives. Arkadiy brought up second platoon of T-100s. IFVs are moved in cover to recover after losing 1 vehicle. Spartans continue to work on Wolfes. Only cannon meat is located on Y-Z line. I wanted to take Zulu, but all troops are busy here. Good thing that Arkadiy is not pushing there. Situation so far. T-100s are now counter-attacking US troops, our MBTs are going to support them. We cleared areas near us, we need to take Delta as we have no time to grab Zulu (Novikov may send troops at Yankee as answer to Zulu capture, which means that majority of uplinks would be under SGB control and defeat clocks for us). Deadly ping pong: Episode 3. Spoiler MBTs are shelling T-100s, while they are destroying US troops. Kamovs are trying to support Ogres. Spartans are working on T-100s in same moment. Kamovs are finished, T-100s now have nobody to support them. Looks like that's all! Results: Spoiler
LoooSeR
We are just 1 step away from outskirts of Moscow. We are going to take Dukovany and this will put JSF in a position to start attack on Moscow. SGB will put a serious fight to stop us. In this fight both sides will have full support of Armed forces. Spoiler Shpetsnaz troops would be under command of Viktor Lobanov, he is careful and prefers to let the enemy come to him. I neven faced this commander and his battalion, not sure about how we are going to approach this operation. There is only 3 uplinks to take and Foxtrot probably will be a main fighting area where our forces will face each other. My plan is to take Delta and then proceed to F. AFVs will be tasked to secure Foxtrot before infantry arrives to it. In this operation amount of foot soldiers will be minimal. In last avaliable slot i assigned Spartan SPGs, they will be deployed instead of usual gunships as in urban conditions Blackfoots will have serious problems with infantry in cover and in buildings. Fastbacks will pick up engineers and drop them near Delta then going to Foxtrot, where CV with artillery support will hold possible SGB push. Army troops are breaching into oil refinery, majority of them are going to Foxtrot. CV is not going to move too far, Spartans will need AA protection. Probably half of this refinery is made out of explodium. Kamovs arrived. CV launched UAV to spot any troops that Kamovs may escort. It looks like they scouted uplink to see if infantry can grab it. Lobanov acts somewhat aggressively, but with proper preparation work. Now after nobody was spotted near F by Kamovs, i expect guests to snatch this server hub. And here they are, BTRs that are very likely to be full of Shpetsnaz operatives. First contacts: that fight is heating up Spoiler FIrefight started, Army infantry is moving to Foxtrot while firing at nearby SGB gunships. Spartans are starting to shell BTRs, while Archon is providing protection against Kamovs. IFVs now are ordered to get to central area. Area on the right provides a direct path to Foxtrot while also providing shielding from troops in central line, Viktor probably will use it as his main way to get his troops here. Pioneers started to capture Delta, Blyadfoots are arriving to help us with Russian army troops and recon job. 1 Kamov was shot down so far by UGVs, Spartans now are trying to kill Russian conscripts to clear central area as much as possible. Now SPGs will redirect their cannons back on BTRs, i decided to trying to get rid of cannon fodder is not effective enough way to clean area for our gunships. UGVs are chasing Russian choppers away, while just arrived Fastbacks are going to peekaboo BTRs. Perfect! Now artillery needs to finish infantry that managed to jump out of SGB transports. Delta is ours, Pioneers soon will be moved to Foxtrot. Delta is going to be defended by 2 squads of Army infantrymens and a team of UGVs. Back at middle zone - AFVs are spotted. A platoon of T-100s is getting closer, they are going through Russian Army lines to breakthrough our troops near Foxtrot. Battle for Foxtrot (how many times we had those kind of fights for server hubs designated as "Foxtrot"?) Spoiler Blackfoots arrived in right moment. SPGs already started to lob HEs at Ogres. -1 T-100s, Blackfoots were hit by AA flamethrowers, but all vics are ok. Lobanov tries to catch our gunships off guard with his own attack helicopters. Schwarzkopf enter facility and open up with a salvo against Kamovs, 1 of those things is going down now. T-100s are retreating after loosing 2 machines, thanks to artillery and gunships attack. Those things are trying to attack again, but they will fail. T-100s were defeated a moment eariler. Our helicopters are now scouting targets for artillery, we are clearing central zone for Pioneers. Viktor now tries to counter our scout team with BTRs/SPAAGs, Spartans were tasked to saturate those things with explosions. Tanks arrived to F, they will continue Spartan's work. 1 gunships was lost from missile volley, launched by SPAAGs. Tanks just finished survivors of artillery barrage that took cover behind barricades, and now they will clash with approaching BTRs. What the hell is this? A salvo of HESH rounds didn't killed a single APC, while their missile destroyed 1 tank. What they use as AA missile, Kornets? That team of BTRs is retreating, so we can concentrate all fire on 2nd group of SPAAGs. Spartans finishing last unit that Russians have here. Pioneers are providing eyes on it. Ghosts are on Foxtrot, Viktor for now can only observe this. So far central area is now ours, we suffered minimal casualties so far. On the edge of victory, defeat and nuclear fire: Spoiler Where is your tickets to watch my victory? You don't have it?! Pffft... and that's all you got, Lobanov? I thought that Russians are going to do everything to stop us from getting to Moscow! You already lost, Viktor, thats why i didn't bothered to move units. Just 2 seconds. Lobanov EMP'ed Delta so victory clocks were stopped. Huh? It looks like Viktor is not done, but i can't find his units. Reinforcements were called, looks like we are not done with SGB 27th battalion. Found those fuckers. Lobanov is bringing even more troops. So will do i. Now we have more forces on the ground than before nuclear strike! SGB reinforcements showed up, time to resume this battle. Stopping a new wave of Russians. Spoiler Finding a good spot for SPGs is problematic - lots and lots of oil tanks that are ready to explode and take out everybody near them. Now we are ready to fight with freshly delivered Shpetsnaz troops. Kamovs are trying to attack IFVs, as they are hauling Ghosts to building on a corner. My plan now is to block this entrey path, tie enemies in combat here and get to Yankee to resume our computing power superiority. MRLS pods are unwrapped for slow moving infantry. And even more! Armor arriving from both sides. Central zone is in ruins. Platoon of Ogres is now retreating after losing 2 tanks (we lost 1, even when T-100s were under fire of 4+ units) Gunships are scouting areas near Yankee to see what Lobanov plans to do. Number 5 enemy unit is Zhukov SPGs (or what is left from them). I'm going to finish Zhukovs to not allow getting back their cost for VIktor if he order to them to fully retreat. Using this moment of no serious AFV and artillery presence, i'm going to send infantry to Yankee point, under protection of AFVs and gunships. Kamovs are trying to gun down exposed infantry, but i have other plans for our soldiers. A slavo from tanks shot down 1 gunship Missiles from one team of IFVs... .... and from second one. Infantrymens only managed to get scared by those vultures before we put them down like a dog. Looks like Viktor understood what we are doing and sended a group of troops to defend Yankee. Until only dust is left! Spoiler We are lucky - Viktor deployed a lot of engineers and didn't knew that i have Ghosts in the ground. "Creeper" is now sniping those bastards from safe distance, while Shpetsnaz soldiers are heroically dying in numbers from our long range fire. Artillery is working on second squad of engineers. Viktor is sending a wave after wave of gunships to dislodge us from entry to Foxtrot. IFVs are moving to counter this stream of airvics, pouring at us from SGB LZ. CV is acting as a shield for tanks, but no amount of armor can survive for too long under this amount of pressure. SPAAGs are appraoching, our own gunships needs to get away. 120 mm cannons are going to deal with those things. We just only finished one group of Kamovs, now a new one arrives. Kamovs unloaded their missile at Blackfoots, 2 gunships are down and rest of them need to retreat. Our blocking formation is under crossfire. Spartans are shelling infantry that managed to jump from BTRs to a near building, while rest of troops are engaging choppers. Looks like Viktor again managed to lost almost all of his troops. Ghosts are hacking Yankee to deny it to SGB. I didn't expected that he will nuke our forces so close to his own. But i already see who will get hit our own kinetic rods! Finally! Results: Spoiler Our next target - Moscow!
LoooSeR
Finally we are here... Our final operation - capture of Moscow, will be done in 3 phases. 3 battles will be: 1) capturing positions, 2) destruction of main forces and last battle will be elimination of defenders that survived first 2 battles or securing critical positions and if we take too long to do one of those - fighting with huge amount of reinforcements. Both sides in current operation will have all kinds of support. Spoiler Novikov is our opponent in this operation, he is rather capable leader. My plan is to take L and S and then try to grab positions inside of Kremlin. Arkadiy is less predictable than Savilov, so my "plan" will be changed according to Novikov's actions. As numbers of points that i want to grab during initial moments is small, only 1 squad of infantry will be deployed. Task force will be mainly busy with clearing area from Russian Army manpower, and scaring away SGB troops. IFVs will bring Pioneers to Lima first, then we will go for Sierra. Breakthrough point into the Kremlin will be near D, from it A will be not really hard to get to, as from side entrance near A is big enough only for infantry and it is easier to defend than Bravo. So we are starting action! Empty city, abandoned by locals, now will be full of armed guys and armored vehicles. 2nd fireteam of Spartans was called in, Archon Command vehicle will act as shield for them while Fastbacks will haul engineers around. During previous operation Arkadiy chose a not bad place of attack - where my troops were thin on firepower, and point of his attack was also far enough from central area to avoid getting under fire by bulk of troops. Not sure what he will do here and where. This part of Moscow is full of tight long streets (especially eastern part) and other areas that i not really spacious enough for big numbers of AFVs, with exception of Red Square and few smaller areas inside of Kremlin walls and areas near Zulu and Yankee. IFVs drivers are vandals! Troops are almost ready to aim at Delta, if needed. Blackfoots arrived for recon work and we are now capable of doing artillery strikes. And here are Kamovs, they are either scouting or escorting troops. Battle for Moscow: First volleys Spoiler Our gunships are working on clearing path to Sierra, they spotted Arkadiy's people inside of Kremlin. Almost done. Group of SGB choppers is hovering near Delta, taking shots at US Army troops, we are going to provide them support. Kamovs flew away, but BTRs are now moving closer to our gunships, Spartans are ready to meet them. Part of missiles missed, as BTRs moved away. Those Kamovs are back, they are trying to hunt down our SPGs, but Archon is in their way. BTRs showed up, and we have more rockets in MRLS pods. And more! Those guys are stubborn. Bad for them! Something was spotted at Red square, we need to take a look as IFVs and infantry are not far, taking Sierra. Red Square brawl Spoiler Our gunships are working on clearing path to Sierra, they spotted Arkadiy's people inside of Kremlin. Red Square: it's not over yet! Spoiler Now Blackfoots are trying to dislodge Shpetsnaz heavy infantry from A position, with support of Spartans. We need to do this fast as SGB is nearly done with Zulu. All troops i have are moved closer to Kremlin and now located on quay. IFVs are parked to the west to overwatch out left flank, Sierra and UGVs on it will cover our backs. Defeat clocks are back, and a flock of Russian choppers appeared on our left flank. Those are are not going to survive, they are under fire of IFVs and our gunships. Our troops are now pushing in as one massive armored fist across Red Square, together with US Army Abrams tanks. We broken bars that block entry for soldiers in this guard tower, but AFVs can't fit through it, so we are pushing to next tower where vehicles can drive through gates. Arkadiy is counter-attacking our formation, he wants to stop this massive advance. Novikov throws 2 gunships units and a platoon of T-100s against JSF assault formation. We need to do something about them, this is rather serious combined firepower! IFVs are moving closer to tanks and Blackfoots are parked above our Schwarzkopfs to scare Kamovs away. Spartans already are working on heavy armor platoon of Russian tanks. Pioneers that took Sierra are now at Alpha, undoing Shpetsnaz hacks. Kamovs are distracted by US Army armored formation, we can now concentrate our firepower on Ogres. 5 units are attacking Ogres! Units are spotted on our left flank, infantry squad and gunships. Novikov saw that Lima is open and seems like he wants to grab it to devalue our grab of Alpha. Cheeky asshole! Damn, i though we will smack them hard enough before they will manage to get to flamethrowers range, but it is too late. Kamovs are shot down, Ogres were defeated a moment ago, but one of our MBTs unit is now going back. I called a replacement armor unit instead of them. Arkadiy is now moving his troops through Delta to Lima. SGB deployed SPAAGs, Blackfoots are probably better to be used somewhere else. Things are heating up here... Spoiler Troop formation so far - SPGs with CV and 2 US Army infantry squads in the back, left flank is being hold by IFV unit, that is now under combined fire of 2 teams of Russian Attack helicopters. 2 squads of our engineers are at and near Alpha, in cover, with MBTs and IFVs parked at one of guard towers with gates for vehicles. Blackfoots are now supporting IFVs, 1 team of gunships was downed by IFVs. 3rd unit of copters is visible somewhere near Delta. At Red square tanks crushed Cockroaches, but are now under fire of seemingly endless waves of Kamovs attack choppers. Blackfoots are now saving leftovers of tank platoon that were ordered to retreat back out of battlefield, as nearly destroyed team of Kamovs throught that they will be an easy target. 2 squads of Shpetsnaz soldiers are preparing for assault on Lima, they are my main problem now. Second US troops formation arrived, parked near Alpha and they are going to support 2 squads of engineers, now we have very good foothold inside of Kremlin. This flock of Russian gunships is no longer a threat. 1 more is near Delta and 3rd is being worked on by Blyadfoots Group of choppers from Delta are now trying to attack Blackfoots, but they are now under concentrated fire by 2 squads of engineers and whole armored formation of US Army. In the same time Arkadiy probably tries to give some time for infantry to get to Lima, as one of squads almost crossed a bridge to our side of river. Exchange of missile barrages. They are done. Looks like yet another group of choppers is flying towards central formation of my troops. They are also fucked. Engineers tried to get to Bravo, but Novikov deployed tanks and moved his troops towards our left flank. He now tries to avoid Red Square and maneuver in parts of city that are far away from us. 3 infantry units are now between Lima and Delta. Umm... i probably missed something, but i didn't used WMD or put Arakdiy into defeat situation, how he managed to deploy WMDs against us? Anyway, he hit our SPGs and CV, which are not so usefull against waves of Kamovs. Ghosts were deployed in order to defend Lima from Russian Shpetsnaz infantry onslaught. Payback! We hit at least 1 or 2 enemy infantry units, but 1 that got through bridge to our side of battlespace is not done yet. We need to find them and gauge them out. Battle for Kremlin! Spoiler Engineers are on Bravo, working on it. Arkadiy tries to counter this, sending what he have left - Kamovs, but they are under heavy fire now. Those guys had a really bad day before being killed. Almost all of our troops are now inside of Kremlin. Arkadiy wanted to deny victory for us by taking Lima, so capture of Alpha would have been useless, but we are taking Bravo, so taking Lima is not going to stop us from getting an upper hand. Although i would like to not have a squad of Russian SG soldiers running around our rear lines. Tanks are trying to attack, but they are now under concentrated fire on top of being damaged in previous attempt. They are done. That's bad - that infantry squad was a light infantry unit. Ghosts and Wofles already exchanged sniper fire so both have casualties. Both are without cover now, but in few moments we will have one. So now this is a firefight of similar type of units. Although a freshly deployed SPG team is going to be a really good support for Ghosts. Arkadiy throws more tanks at us. We have 2 IFVs units and 1 tank platoon inside on top of what is left US troops here, plus engineers are taking cover in order to attack those tanks. 3 units are attacking those Wolfes as second team of SPGs that just rode out of cargo convertoplane started to shell them. Those guys are crazy - they are now charging us head on, they want to get into range for UGLs attack! Wofles were finished with artillery HE shot and small arms fire with minimal casualties for Ghosts, but things here are not so well. Armor platoon lost 2 MBTs, while Ogres still have 3 beasts active. Spartans now need to move and shell tanks ASAP. Engineers that were moving from Bravo to Delta in order to take it and block Western entrance for Arkadiy troops stumbled on full squad of SGB engineers. This is really bad for them, Spartans are too far to start fire mission. Spartans are moving, Blackfoots will be used to deal with what troops Arkadiy still have. Engineers and Schwarzkopfs were defeated, survivors of those units are going to be evacuated. Airstrike finished Ogres, saving IFVs from them. Now Blackfoots are providing eyes on this team of Shpetsnaz Bears. Bears near Delta are not last infantry teams that Arkadiy have - another squad of footmobiles are going through same gates as Ogres tried to push through. Fastbacks are firing with all guns they have (rare to see - RCWS is being used for enemies at close range) Spartans are shelling area near Delta, while Ghosts are working to bring back Lima under our control. Engineers left Delta, they are trying to get out of fire, but southern road is also blocked by Pioneers that garrisoned a church that overlooks it. And done, crossfire is a good way to finish dangerous units. And those guys are also smashed into pieces... That was a hard battle, Novikov manage to defeat 3 units with WMD strike, 3 units were defeated in direct combat and 3 more were taken out of battlesapce as they suffered serious casualties. He also managed to change tactic and strategy mid battle, recognizing that my left flank was almost completely empty. LoooSeR
2nd phase of Battle for Moscow. Now we are going to clash with main SGB forces in attempt to eliminate all of them. Our opponent this time is Aleksabdr Kurochnik, with whom we fought some time ago. He has a reputation as an aggressive commander who always prefers to be on the offense and use small offensive attacks with air support. My plan here is to deploy a lot of AFVs, pick enemies one by one with our attack formation, keep our distance to minimize damage taken and generally move around to destroy our enemy. Spoiler We can deploy a lot of troops in first moments of operation, we are going with AFV heavy composition with all Spartans we can deploy put into action immediately. I'm also called 2 Blackfoots to scout enemies and gun down enemies separated from main forces. First enemies spotted. We have 2 gunships teams, 2 platoons of MBTs, 2 groups of IFVs and 2 SPGs batteries. First contacts: Spoiler IFVs arrived to finish Kamovs as fast as we can to avoid getting pressed by several units. Russian cannon fodder charging us. SGB transports are moving just behind Russian human wave. 8 tanks are ready to meet those Russian transports and their crazy crews! Done. Kurochnik brought artillery to this fight. 2 teams of Zhukovs (!), Command truck, BTRs - looks like Aleksandr picked Red Square to be our main battlefield. Red Square as boxing ring: Spoiler Blackfoots are trying to get to KV-20s, but SGB's SPAAGs are blocking their way in. Will try to sneak them from other angle, but we need to do this fast as tanks are already taking damage from artillery strikes. SPAAGs are still moving in such way to block our path, i'm using gunships to lure BTRs to tanks and SPGs. Got you, bitch! Now Blyadfoots have a shot on Zhukovs. Blackfoots are under heavy AA fire, we need to get them out. Single infantry squad on left flank is moving from Lima to Delta point, looks like path is clear. BTRs near Saint Basil cathedral are defeated, survivors of infantry that was inside jumped out, but they are going to be destroyed quickly. Now there are not serious obsticles between us and Kurochnik's troops. I'm going to push entire task force closer to Red square, as we have opportunity to destroy SGB forces because of tactical mistake - Aleksandr's battalion is separated into 2 formations - one is inside of Kremlin and 2nd is located on Red Square. Troops are pushing foward to use this excellent moment. Greatings from 120 mm cannons! BTRs are desperately trying to save Zhukovs and charge our tanks in attempt to start very short range fight, but our tanks are equipped with RCWS systems that can engage targets that are too close to use cannons on. I call guided bomb strike on one of Zhukovs team in attempt to force it to displace or make it easier target for us. BTRs are now mixed with our troops trying to wreck havok, but they already lost 2 vehicles. Tanks lost 1 from artillery, same with IFVs. BTR's attempt failed as nothing serious was done (some damage was received, but no casualties). Now we are going to destroy KV-20 SPGs. 2 squads of infantry are trying to save those SPGs, but it is too late! Done! Where we can buy a ticket to Kremlin? Spoiler I want to get into Kremlin and destroy troops there, but Aleksandr still tries to fight us on Red Square. He proably needs to understand that this fight is lost cause, time to move on. Kamovs are firing all their missiles at CV, which have enough armor to easily survive that. Looks like Kurochnik's command vic is nearby, so our commanders probably are looking at each other, angrily. This team of Kamovs are nearly done, Shpetsnaz engineers are sitting inside of GUM building so Blackfoots needs to be carefull to not get too close. CVs did exchange fire with each other for some time. Spartans are slowly chewing through engineers. And those guys are done. Ghosts captured Delta, so not things should be smoother for us as a lot of Sheptsnaz troops were defeated. Second group of SGB heavy infantry taken positions in one of guard towers. Great, now our troops finished CV's protection infantry, now we can try to fuck up Aleksandr's command truck. Guided bomb and fire through gates finished this MAZ truck. Spartans and Blackfoots are going to clear Kremlin now. Kurochnik continues his attempts to leave Kamovs parts across whole square. Majority of SGB troops are defeated. Probably only some sneaky Shpetsnaz operators are left somewhere around. Clean up crew: Spoiler Now we can clean Kremlin from crawling Shpetsnaz cockroaches! Ghosts were moving towards engineers near Bravo, but a group of engineers are spotted near Delta. Ghosts could easily defeat them. Yet another flock of choppers arrived to get their share of fire. Kamovs are shot down and now this group of engineers are on our plate. And those guys are defeated as well. Now we need to smash remianing infantry. Another group of SGB infantry. Spartans and Ghosts will have fun times. One team was found near Bravo, they are going to eat a lot of lead. Now guided bombs! And those guys are done as well. Hmm, nobody is visible, again. Time to go and find those poor bastards to play as our practice targets! Wrap up, with 100% more explosions! Spoiler Just stop this, Aleksandr. We MAY run out of ammunition! Oh, we still have a lot of missiles ready for helicopters. Our next target - engineers team that was scouted much eariler during battle. Spartans repositioned to shell those Shpetsnaz operatives. We won! Ow, we didn't. Damn, Kurochnik decided to shut his "exit" door in anger. Results: Spoiler Kurochnik dropped nuke in order to ruin my Command rating. Asshole! LoooSeR
And here it is - last battle for our battalion, for JSF and end of Siege of Moscow! We completed 2 battles in capital of Russia and just 1 battle left before we will crush enemies and completely win WW3. Spoiler SGB best commander will fight against us - general Alexei Tatarev and his elite Alpha brigade. He is very capable enemy, but situation for them is pretty bad - first 10 minutes of operation they will have no ability to call reinforcements and supports, and they also should protect point Alpha from infantry attacks. Two more things - during whole operation all our troops will be always spotted thanks to Russian Army efforts and Alpha brigade troops are going to fight until their last soldier, which means no "defeated" units (usually at 75% casualties units are becoming defeated), we need to shoot until last vehicle and last infantrymen are dead. My plan is to win before Russian Army will arrive, which mean we have less than 10 minutes to destroy elite troops and outplay best SGB commander. Troops composition will be similar to last battle with Kurochnik and his battalion, as it showed best result so far. Plan is to make a breach in Shpetsnaz defence line of automatic turrets and get inside of Kremlin where will either destroy all defenders or take over Alpha point. For this purpose we need 2 infantry squads (Ghosts to deal with enemy infantry, Pioneers to reinforce uplinks on the way to Alpha and provide AA and AT capabilities), tanks and artillery. As SGB will not be able to call many gunships, amount of IFVs could be lower, but i'm thinking about using them as transports for 2 infantry squads. So we begin. All defenders are inside of Kremlin walls, in A-B-D triangle. I'm going to call 2 gunships squads that would be very usefull after we will penetrate enemy defence line. Just 20 seconds after we started, Tatarev's elite troops started to shell us! That operations is already not a standart deal. Air full of artillery rounds Spoiler 2 teams of gunships were sended to scout enemies, but big amount of AA fire will not allow me to attack SPGs directly. One of Spartans is already taking damage as his position was zeroed. Ghosts are loaded into IFVs, i'm planning to push Alpha brigade on left flank and take Delta. Artillery was found, now Spartans can start counter-artillery barrage. Line of AA autocannons in central area, 4 automatic turrets defending bridge. We don't have time to clear them all, so ground troops will concentrate only on relevant targets. Line of turrets in the middel should be destroyed to allow gunships a path to enemies. SPGs are shelling forces of their enemies. Spartans were switched to destroy defensive turrets, while rest of troops are starting shifting to our left flank. One more quick recon flyover - Spartans are now suppressing Zhukovs. A team of Kamovs is visible on the background. Tanks are assaulting Big Stone Bridge on Eastern side of operation zone. Alpha brigade's infantry is located on Alpha and Bravo, but they didn't got to Delta so far. Pioneers are going to take Lima to allow us to utilize airstrikes, we need maximum firepower! Almost entire task forces is moving through this hole in SGB defence line. SPGs continue to exchange fire, now against each other, again. Alpha brigades tanks are located, they are near Bravo. KV-20's shells are landing way to close to 2nd team of Spartans. 1 SPG lost, counter-battery fire is aimed at one of nearest Zhukovs team. I can't move SPGs as this will allow Tatarev to fire at them without our own SPG's sending HE on enemies. 2nd team lost 2 SPGs, 1st battery lost 1 SPG. Tatarev prioritized targets well enough, maybe a bit too late - my troops are crossing river. But if KV-20s will concentrate their fire on tanks, i will have serious problems with pushing forward. Also, Alpha brigades operatives are now at Delta upgrading it, and they are with Kamovs support. ...and this is my right hook! Spoiler Kamovs are trying to attack our avant-garde, but i deliveratly put IFVs as first troops to cross Big Stone bridge. Tanks were moved back to embankment, as now they have a target which they can shell - infantry inside of church. In the same time tanks became priorty target for Zhukovs, leaving Spartans time to recover. But we need to smash those KV-20 SPGs until they do more damage! Even if gunships will be defeated, destruction of KV-20s is now a top task. Missile barrage + Spartans fire should finish those SPGs. Second team of SPGs were heavily damaged by our conter-artillery fire, but those bastards are still alive. Second team is going to be target for a gun run. Blackfoots are getting out of this area, too much AA fire. Damn, those things are still alive! Blackfoots are moving back, we need to destroy those SPGs ASAP as they re-started to attack our own artillery support! First unit is destroyed, second unit is just a single SPG, still firing at us. Tatarev throws Ogres and BTRs to save his last long range fire-capable unit. Done! Now get out! Breaking through! Spoiler One team is not going to make it, they are losing machines one by one very quickly. One team of gunships was defeated, second one have small chances to get away. Both Spartans team lost 4 vics in total, Alpha brigade was close to defeating them. Second group of helicopters manage to get out. I'm not going to call Spartans back, too much time will be needed to bring replacement. Main troops are at guard tower near Delta, destroying barricades to breach in. Alpha troops understood what we are going to do and sended infantry and tanks to counter our actions. Shpetsnaz soldiers garrisoned Guard tower, but they are going to be under fire of whole assault formation. Tanks are now firing salvos of HESH rounds to gouge defenders out of their cover. Second salvo! Looks like Tatarev ordered to both tanks and BTRs to participate in this counter attack. Using this moment, Spartans are displacing to find a better position. BTRs should be damaged from Spartans fire, tanks still have 3 vics active. Airstrike on BTRs killed what was left of their unit, now tanks are alone. We are going in! Inside of old fortress there is only fire Spoiler We have little more than 3 minutes to get to Alpha. Gunships spotted 2nd infantry team that was on Alpha, those guys are overwatching entrance near critical position. 3 turrets are at Alpha, they are going to be easy targets for artillery and rest of AFVs. Ghosts are taking Delta in case if we will not make it in time. WIthout waiting slower MBTs, Fastbacks are assaulting our objective. Engineers are moving in order to counter this push. So far i didn't saw any other unit. They appear to be last one of Alpha troops here. Tanks showed up and started with platoon sized slavo of 120 mm cannons, bathing Shpetsnaz engineers in fire! At this point i called a gun run and ordered a missile barrage on those guys - we have no time to deal with them if there is another unit clawling somewhere on Red Square or in our rear positions. Done! Yes! Results: Spoiler 5 airstrikes in total i used in this operation. My "extended" WW3 for US side is over. And now is a small "teaser" of my last campaign in EndWar: Euroweaklings, Hardcore... let's GO! Spoiler FUCK! Lord_James
LoooSeR
Here starts my Euroweaklings playthrough on max dfficulty - Hardcore. In this mode our enemies will have tech advantage (they will outrank me almost always and troops will have better weapons, more health) and on top of just having more armor, HP and damage, AI will be better as well. Not sure how, we will see. After this playthrough (i already done it at this point) i will no longer post more playthroughs of EndWar, so this "series" will be over. In this campaign i will go with armor heavy battalion. Big number of artillery doesn't do much, as there is a hard cap on number of SPG units active during operation (2 per side). Although if we will lose some, we wil have an experienced replacement. Quick look into barracks: Spoiler Not upgraded, stock turret. Ummm.. that is a bit strange upgrade. Euroweaklings units in EndWar AFAIK supposed to be not well armored/have lower HP than other factions, but they are faster. Not sure how much difference will be better AI abilities, we will see. Skipped prelude to WW3, probably should have done it on Hardcore, but we go straight to WW3! First operation of our battalion. We are attacking Russians in Istra regions, with support of Air forces. SGB will have ability to call regular army support during operation. Spoiler Georgiy Sokolov - adaptable tactician - is my opponent in out first operation. In this fight usual tactic of taking Y-Z line will be used, but we are starting on southern part of map. Not sure how things will go, but enemy is 1 rank higher than we are, so their troops will be a bit harder to crack. All troops are "green", we are going with simple deployment. Taking into account that we are weaker than Russian troops, we probably will need to move around more to find softer spots to exploit. Eurohordes are out! And our engineers are going in. Called gunships to scout and gun down isolated units. Strange placement of rocket pods. Our tin cans on wheels arrived to Alpha. Merde! Russian human waves are spotted! First operation hot phase: Spoiler Cheetahs are going for Army infantry, clearing area for contact with SGB troops. We captured Alpha and 2 SPGs were called in. Kind of risky, as i don't have good escort for them, but their firepower could be critical to early stage of battle. From Cheetahs a team of Shpetsnaz soldiers, going to Delta can be seen. Sokolov brought BTRs, we should watch out fo those things. He captured an uplink, so it is not a surprise that Kamovs are now here. Now they are trying to do exactly what we were doing. Bastards! Cockroaches are moving towards gunships, those vics are upgraded already with ERA to increase protection. SPGs are already arrived to their firing position and now they are going to shell those SPAAGs/transports. In the same time Panthers were called in to support us in central area. Marksman artillery trucks, firing at Russians. Apparently we spend our military budget on painting muzzle flashes into peaceful, democratic blue color. Kamovs are using a fact that Cheetahs are kept outside of BTR's autocannons range and they are finishing our Eurotroops. Trying to sneak our attack while BTRs are distracted. They lost 1 vic because of artillery. Still distracted. Now they are paying attention. Time to run away! Ou APCs are acting as an ambush for Kamovs, which went to attack Cheetahs. BTRs are retreating, but Sokolov sended infantry squad from D to grab Lima. Engineers are almost at Yankee point, i'm trying to limit advances of Sokolov troops by estbalishing hard point near his uplinks. Kamovs are going to retreat or be shot down, thanks to our ambush. Cheetahs are going away from Shpetsnaz engineers, Marksmans will work on them. Calling 2nd platoon of Panthers in preparations for our counter-attack. And BTRs were finally defeated! Battle for Yankee: Spoiler Gunships lost 1 helicopter from SGB engineers at Lima. We will live them to SPGs, Cheetahs are going to scout what Sokolov deployed. Our tanks are on their positions, ready to attack together with Badger APCs. Cheetahs found just arrived Zhukov SPGs, preparing for shelling our positions. A gun run was called on them, but our fragile eurotech inside of Cheetahs are eating a lot of damage and choppers will not get out of this situation. Also, regular army troops are going somewhere, probably to Delta. KV-20s already started to lob rounds at us. T-100s are assaulting our positions near Yankee, Badgers are under fire and they are moving into cover. Panthers are going to try their claws on those SGB armored monsters, also with artillery support. Ogres are assaulting us together with infantry squad near them, probably light infantry as they have good enough camo to be not spotted by now. Badgers are under AT fire from engineers that advanced from Lima towards Yankee. We are under pressure from 2 both flanks! Both platoons of Panthers are taking turns to attack Ogres, this should allow us to break them without taking too much fire. T-100s are retreating! Kamovs are trying to take out more APCs while they are under fire from engineers on their tails. Infantry squad that was supporting tanks also got under artillery barrage and lost number of their soldiers. Now tanks are going to finish them. Badgers are keeping pressure on Kamovs to cut them from attacking tanks. Badgers were attacked by Russian army troops, that Sokolov ordered to guard Uplinks. We need to assault this area and take both uplinks, engineers are already moving to Lima, that was cleared by SPGs. Northern pass: Spoiler Panthers were tasjed to breakthrough Russian army scouts and secure Delta. Engineers were moving to cleared Lima, but Sokolov deployed Army personal there, now our infantry is in serious trouble. Ordered them to keep going to nearest cover, Marksmans are helping with "CAS" - close range artillery support. Infantry squad that is moving to forest is uplink guard deployed by engineers that captured it. Assholes, they are trying to avoid artilllery and find a better spot to engage engineers. Grenadiers ordered to move to Lima, artillery will finish guards. Server hub building will work as a cover for advancing troops. Tanks are promptly moved back to area where we have any kind of serious AA coverage, as Savilov filled skies with attack choppers. Freshly deployed Badger team is moving to flank gunships. First team of APCs that lost 2 vics is still in battle, we need all troops to keep up with pressure, as we are slowly taking initiative in our hands. Excellent! Now we have 3 uplinks under our democratical control. Marsmans are clearing area near Z point, while we are chasing helicopters away. Georgiy wanted to send infantry to Foxtrot, looks like. A gun run defeated this group of SGB air vehicles, now we are establishing AA blockade for Savilov! LZ massacre... kind of... not sure... Spoiler That battered pair of T-100s is back. They are now trying to counter attack us as our democratic troops are pushing to lock down SGB LZ. Badger APCs are ordred to move, i want them repositioned somewhere away from those ruski tanks. Those guys are angry! Smashing cars on the way and breaking stuff. Those Kamovs are back and tried to attack Panthers, Badgers were called to deal with them, but Ogres are now engaging them. Those APCs were defeated, but tanks continue to fire at Ogres. 2 Platoons of our Panthers can't quikcly deal with T-100s, and looks like our first encounter with them was so painless because of SPGs, which are on the move now. That is bad - even with 8 vs 2 situation Ogres still can do something against our troops. Our European weapons are truely weak! Second team of APCs were called to sheild tanks from Kamovs, and now Ogres are firing at them. Badgers are under considerable pressure - Savilov brought another team of Kamovs to try to smash them. He understands that if i lose AA coverage, tanks will be easy target for his gunships. Artillery is shelling infantry, tanks are switching between taking shots at T-100s and infantry squad in forest. Ogres managed to take out 1 APCs, but we also downed gunship team. Artillery and tanks are trying to take out infantry squad ASAP to allow some space to move against Ogres. This is now a fucking tense moment - T-100s are STILL alive and they took out 2nd Badger APCs. Our weakling "Panther" tanks are probably firing something as effective as confetti at those armored monsters. Those 2 tanks managed to take out 3 APCs while being under *almost constant* fire of 8 Eurotanks! FINALLY! Called a gunrun against Kamovs, not going to deal with this shit any longer. That was a hard battle with tense moment in the end. If we lost just 1 more APCs, majority of our troops would lost any serious AA protection for rather long time, which could mean a defeat. So far Hardcore AI have better target prioritization, focus fire, quicker reaction to situations and more precise understanding of range of engagement of units. Results: Spoiler That group of footmobiles tried to flank our assault formation, only thanks to artillery and some attention of tanks we managed to brake them. B? Even if no WMDs were used, this fight was at times a close one. Sokolov's troops defeated a team of gunships, a platoon of Badgers, almost maanged to take out another unit of APCs and Grenadiers. JSF is pushing us from Western part of European Federation. Those American bâtards will get theirs, soon! New toys. Those things are rapid fire small-sized rockets, not guided actually. LoooSeR
Today operation - raid on Ft. Levski. Our Euroweakling command decided that attacking Shpetsnaz while they have ground forces support is a bad idea, so our sneaky mission to break stuff was put together. During this raid we will have no air or ground support, at all. Spoiler Sokolov, again! Mission is simple, enemy - not so much. In previous battle he was pretty hard commander to crack. My plan is to attack A, then B and D targets. In this way we will avoid getting to deap into enemy territory and still have ability to quickly move troops from/to flanks thanks to direct road from A to D. So far this is usual loadout, our battalion isn't best one so logistics is limited. First wave troops will capture uplink in order to establish our presence on the ground, after that other units can be called in. We are ready to go. Eurocopters are weak and automatic turrets are strong Spoiler After seeing terrible results of first battle, i decided to test how weak Euroweaklings are. Cheetahs were tasked to fire at automatic turret. But very quickly i was forced to move them away as they started to take damage. They were under fire of 2 or 3 turrets, so this is not too surprising but... They did to it just a bit of damage, as much as those turrets delivered to Cheetahs. Damn those things are weak! We are not done taking Foxtrot, but HQ allowed us to get additional units. Tanks are pretty good fit to deployed troops. Note that we have only 2 more units in reserves, which mean that maximum amount of troops that could be on battlefield ever during this op is 6. If Sokolov defeats all 6 of them than this mission will be failed. Speaking about Sokolov, where are his guys? Here are they! Target A: Spoiler Grenadiers jumped back into Badgers and now my plan is to brazenly break in compound where fuel tanks are located, drop engineers to take Yankee and smash target A (fuel tanks) with 120 mm cannons of Panthers for big explosion that will destroy all 4 turrets. APCs are in, engineers are out. They should kick away those Shpetsnaz vultures. Tanks are driving to designated position to overlook our target. Well, we used this tactics several times, so we know what will happen. Fuel tanks turned into big bright cinematic explosion that you probably wanted to look at, but look! Shiny new command truck is here! Now i'm going to attack both Delta and Bravo in attempt to split Sokolov troops. Let's see how it works. Target B... or D. Or both. Spoiler Second platoon of Panthers is moving to Delta now. Grenadiers and Badgers should provide solid AA coverage of both raiding teams. They found BTRs, that were moving from Whiseky to area near Delta. Currently troops of first raiding formation are firing at Bravo target. Command vehicle arrived to help to destroy this building. Probably Russian X-Mans base or something. Kamovs are counterattcking our troops, UGVs are now charging forward to force those attack helicopters away. Before this point Sokolov was rather inactive, but looks like he is now confident enough to start action. Now we need to pay attention. Tanks are under fire, Kamovs found a place far away from both Grenadiers and Badgers, cleared place from UGVs to have a free shots on my troops. 1 tank lost, Command vehicle didn't managed to push choppers away. Weak. On top of that Georgiy is moving his infantry to defend Bravo, this could be a problem. Badgers are moving to Bravo, to at least scare away Kamovs, gunships will take their place to fire at Delta target. Damn, those soldiers were escorted by tanks as well! Sokolov decided to accumulate enough troops to charge us in full strength, and now we need all our troops here to break this onslaught. CV is ordered to get out of T-100s LOS, Grenadiers already have eyes on enemies. This platoon of tanks will be moved back as well, they didn't had much time to demolish Delta. Bravo is almost done, tanks are under pressure from Ogres. SGB heavy armor is now trying to take out Badgers, but this platoon of Panthers shoudl change their mind. This SGB counter-attack is becoming worse every second! Now Sokolov throws BTRs into this fight, he is fully committed to take my troops out here. Badgers are driving Kamovs way, again, while moving away from Ogres themselves. I need to watch their positioning - they should be close enough to jump in and push SGB attack choppers out, while being far enough from this firefight that will become a slaughter of one or both sides. Gunships were borught in, but BTRs quicily understood situation and fire at them, -1 Cheetah and unit ordered to move out of BTR's range. Badgers are also leaving this area. Superiority in numbers of tanks works in our favor - BTRs are beaten, Ogres lost 2 tanks so far. Only 2 gunships are left active, but all other units are more or less ok, thanks to "spreading" Ogre's firepower across 2 platoon of tanks, unit of APCs, CV and even gunships, all that plus Grenadiers firesupport with AT rockets. What left of Cheetahs are back to Delta, firing at targeted building. Tanks are defeated as well! Being under fire from 3-4 units does work against those heavily armored brutal beasts. Battle on Bravo point is not done yet! Sokolov tried to sneak a sabotage team, they found our Grenadiers and fire directed at them triggered my actions to push tanks here. Sokolov is not done yet, infantry is still swarming area between Lima target and this pile of debries that was target Bravo. Badgers kicked Kamovs out of this part of battlefield, again. CV is attacking this sabotage team in close range using laser. We need to take them out ASAP as Shpetsnaz soldiers are trying really hard to gun down our Grenadiers. Our engineers got out of guard tower and tried to take positions at Yankee point or even behind it, but quickly were cut from it by fast actions of Shpetsnaz operatives, who took tower that was just left by Grenadiers, forcing them to hunker down near 2 miltiary trucks. Shpetsnaz soldiers are picking Grenadiers one by one as CV continues to burn them with laser. That was fucking close. Target Delta: Spoiler Kamovs are trying to attack tanks, again, but Badgers are watchful for those vultures. Our target, about 70% of which is damaged or destroyed, thanks to Cheetahs which were demolishing this critical structure for last several minutes. Kamovs and infantry squad in building near Bravo ruins were also defeated by Badgers and Panthers after Sokolov's concentrated assault failed. We have some time to finish Delta, but i want to finish it faster, as 2 units are nearly out of action. That was stressful mission, especially during Bravo push by Sokolov. LoooSeR
We continue to advance using our weak ass equipment. Spoiler Filatov is our enemy in this operation, and he is rather serious adversary, he has a reputation for steady nerves and a methodical approach on the battlefield. My plan in this operation is to cut Genadiy's troops from nothern part of map, begin with D and L, after that we are going to get to Foxtrot and Bravo, which will gain dominance for us. Not going to get into Shpetsnaz part of map, a lot of urban combat and places for infantry to ambush us. Standart deployment, will get rest of troops during operation. Upgraded turrets for Badgers. Marskmans are delivered even before first uplink was taken. Genadiy's Kamovs are on the horizon. First contacts: Spoiler Badgers are clearing entry to oil refinery, supporting our Eurohordes. Hmm... Soviet oil refinery? A glimpse of KV-20s, they are deployed and start to shell EU Army. We need to counter this. Badgers are tasked to get to SPGs and clear a way for Cheetahs. Panthers are too slow to get here in time and we don't have it. Genadiy is making his move - went directly to Yankee and he probably left central area rather light on SGB troops. We are now chewing Zhukov SPGs, wasn't hard to get here. Now we are going to finish them. Damn! Filatov dropped EMP strike on APCs and gunships. Pushing to Soviet oil refinery: Spoiler Filatov now sended heavy armor to push our raiding team out, 1 APCs was blown up by them. At least we got SPGs, time to get out ASAP! Another EMP strike, it got badgers, but tanks are untouched by it. Badgers lost 2 vics, tanks are now taking damage as they are focused by Ogres and Kamovs. 2 tanks are destroyed by this counter-push. Badgers are trying to drive gunships away. Badgers are effectively out, but in last moments i'm trying to launch few missiles at Kamovs. Shpetsnaz armor managed to kick APCs out, Grenadiers are trying to save Panthers at this point. SPGs are joining our efforts to stop this rush train. Panthers jumping out to fire at BTRs and get back to safety. Marskmans are almost done with BTRs, looks like this counter-push runned out of steam. Ogres are trying to retreat. In the same time Genadiy is capturing Lima, he is rather deep into our part of map. Cheetahs are adding their firepower to smash those T-100s befoe they get away from us. Tanks are done! Now we can try to get into this oil refinery. Filatov tries to cover exit of tanks with gunships (a bit too late!), freshly deployed Badgers are rushing to drop those helicopters. Our own MBTs are getting out of battlefield. Combat in between fuel tanks: Spoiler A lot of fuel tanks are in this area, not many places to move around safely. Filatov is rather heavy on gunships. Damn, and we don't have anything serious on the ground to stop those BTRs. 2 Kamovs teams and BTRs are getting to close to Badgers, we need to get to cover, while Grenadiers will work on BTRs. Badgers will drive futher to right and flank attack choppers. Another group of choppers is incoming! Hell, this is becoming crazy, SPGs and engineers are working on BTRs to at least help Badgers somehow. BTRs are chassing our APCs, WTF is this - 3 Kamovs and transports on our ass, Badgers are ordered to get out of BTRs LOS swiftly, or they will eat a lot of fire. -1 team of Kamovs, 2 left. Engineers and APCs are now pushing Kamovs away, as BTRs are leaving this area to not be crushed by artillery shells. BTRs are called back, it seems. I'm going very aggressive - Badgers are chassing Kamovs into area that is blocked from BTRs, i'm not allowing to Kamovs to get away from us! -1 flock of vultures BTRs are getting around long ass buildings in order to save Kamovs from Badgers. Now we need to get away. Artilery now is on Foxtrot, they will allow to us to secure a road to Bravo and push infantry there. We also can deny Alpha for Genadiy's infantry with artillery barrages. In order to secure troops moving to Bravo and not allow situation when fuel tanks will blow up around them and take them out - i need to keep pressure on SGB forces. Panthers arrived, we should be able to finish BTRs. Keep pressure on! Spoiler Tanks are now stomping those BTRs. Even our weak MBTs are powerfull enough to finish heavily damaged platoon of APCs! Tanks are now moving to intercept second unit of BTRs, probably their deployment was triggered by double gunships that i deployed. Need to be cautions with fire near those oil drums. Run away! Tanks + 8 artillery pieces will shut you down! Badgers are engaging yet anothet group of Kamovs. In the same time Filatov's infantry managed to get to Delta and now they are taking it. This is kind of terrible for me, as any freshly deployed unit will need to fight with Shpetsnaz troops in order to get out of LZ. My tactis now completely shifted towards elmimination of all hostile troops, as we already managed to make big steps towards that goal by littering battlefield with shot down choppers. BTRs are defeated. Damn, i'm still angry that Filatov managed to sneak into my rear and cut me from LZ. No, choppers, i'm not going to leave you alone. Done! Cheetahs now are moving to this place to secure right flank of advancing Grenadiers, after they will grab Bravo i plan to move them back to take back Delta point, and those Russian Army forces are in the way. Probably should have fired on those things nearby, but i would like to not gamble, don't want to damage Cheetahs. In the same time Panthers and Marskmans are destroying Cockroach SPAAGs/APCs. And they are done as well. Feels like Genadiy is low on troops inside of oil refinery. Good thing for us, we can use our quantity advantage to full potential. Main thing is to avoid parking units too close to oil tanks. Yet another group of Russian attack choppers was shot down by Badgers APCs. Grenadiers are on Bravo, capturing it. Soon they will be ordred to move back. Visitors from familiar places Spoiler Hey look, those are Shpetsnaz engineers that probably captured Delta point, they are now moving back to us. This is good, we should have easy way to get our uplink back under EU control. APCs caught another flock of gunships. Still keeping away from those fuel tanks, hehe. That Shpetsnaz squad is very aggressive - they are trying to get to Foxtrot and grab it. Cheetahs are keeping their eyes on those guys, while artillery sparys them with HE. CV is parked near Foxtrot, far enough (i hope) from those oil tanks. Grenadiers should be able to sneak around Bears, to re-take Delta. Does this stream of Kamovs ever end?! This is a distraction attack, but i'm not going to let them live. Chase them! Release hounds! Don't live them place to fly away! Bring torches here! Panthers are now assisting SPGs with those tree friends. CV moved away to give place for tanks and not force them to park too close to those red things on their left. Perfect! Fucking finally! This fight coult be much worse if Filatov went with more Ogres instead of endless stream of attack helicopters. That was rather hard fight during early and "middle" stages, but become easier futher because of wrong tactics that Genadiy picked and very aggressive use of Badgers by me. Although we had first really bad call here - SGB managed to outflank me and take positions right next to LZ. I can only imagine if things were slightly different what Filatov could have done against my troops inside of oil refinery... Results: Spoiler Yankee point is completely surrounded by giant fuel and oil tanks. Enemy managed to defeat only 1 unit - Badger APCs, a platoon of damaged Panthers got out of battlefield on their own. Not bad results, but i guess SGB's better control of map was one of reasons of "B" rating. New toys for Cheetahs.
LoooSeR
After we captured oil refinery, a path for bulk of Enforcer corps troops to Ft.Levksi was opened. We sabotaged it recently, so enemies should have problems with bringing Russian Army troops in mass during operation. SGB troops will be under command of Alexander Kurochkin, he is aggressive and prefer to attack under CAS. We will not have any kind of EU army and airforces help during conquest of Ft.Levski, which may be a problem. Not sure about tactics, but knowing that my enemy is rather aggressive and prefer offensive actions i thinking about using same plan as with Yuri Tankaev - advance as relatively single formation from A to S and then Yankee, after which Bravo and Lima should be easier targets, as bulk of enemies will try to focus on our troops located near SGB's LZ, near Y. Spoiler Eurohordes are mowing forward, but after Shpetsnaz will deal with them, we will have EU army support. Although EU Army is even weaker than our own units vs Shpetsnaz, so it is not a big deal. We deployed 3 units and looks like Alexandr did same as well. Base defenders are rushing towards defensive positions. Exchange of courtesies Spoiler Kamovs started with usual "gun down those who are weak". I went with double gunships unit, so we have highly mobile formation in early battle, plus second team of Cheetahs should also gain experience, while being under cover of second unit that already saw some action in previous operations. Gunships assisting EU troops, this weal clear road to Yankee. 2nd platoon of Badger APCs is on the way - i expect more gunships to show up in early stages of operation. Badgers exchanging fire with Kamovs, while BTRs are appraching. I tried to save this squad of EU army infantry here, but because of Cockroaches this position can not be hold. Badgers managed to get out, and Kamovs are now focused on Eurohorde near Delta. Cheetahs have a window to do some shenanigans. HOT Missiles upgrade put in use. BTRs are focused on infantry squad, we can dump some amount of ammunition without receiving much fire. BTRs are getting away, finishing 1st squad of European Federation regular army. Second squad found a solid cover, they should hold for much longer. Kurochnik hit my gunships with EMP, allowing those BTRs to escape. Good thing that helicopters are now hovering over adug in infantry squad, so SGB will not have easy time with shooting at Cheetahs. Cockroaches survived attack and move back to Zulu, i bet they are going to pick up Shpetsnaz soldiers and move them somewhere else. Now clearing Lima. Tanks and AA cover is already deployed, time to put SPGs on a battlefield. Grenadiers captured Sierra, next target is going to be Yankee. Meanwhile BTRs are moving from Z to Whiskey, they will probably drop engineers to grab it. Cheetahs are now back to S-Y line, and looks like Alexander's troops are attempting to occupy Yankee point. Battle for Yankee uplink: i have some weird flashbacks. Spoiler Now we are pushing forward, with Badger support. This team of Shpetsnaz operatives managed to find a good cover, but we managed to force them away from Yankee. Kurochnik's troops took Whiskey and their next target is very likely Delta. Kamovs wanted to help to infanty, but APCs and their missiles are vigilant. Panthers MBTs almost arrived to this place, they will deal with infantry. Alexander likes to use EMPs, now he managed to stop MBTs from attcking infantry. BTRs arrived from Whiskey uplink and they are trying to get involved in this fight, we need to stop them as they can do some damage to disabled MBTs or Badger APCs. Second team of Badgers was working as distraction, so Cheetahs managed to get close enough to BTRs. SGB pushes infantry out of building to charge, trying to use this moment. BTRs are defeated, gunships are moved out of danger zone as Panthers and second team of APCs recovered from EMP. Alexander is now throwing second wave of his troops at us. MBTs, using their superior firing trange, defeated Shpetsnaz operatives, but second wave troops are appraching in force - a squad on our left, T-100s platoon supported by second squad of footmobiles and all this under cover of Kamovs. My troops placement is not good enough to stop this attack, Badgers needs to be repositioned. SPGs almost arrived to this part of military base, very timely. 2nd unit of transports is under fire, they also need to be moved away. Grenadiers are rushing towards Yankee to capture it ASAP. T-100s are supported by engineers, we must finish Ogres before they will get around this building, or i will be forces to drop Yankee and retreat. SPGs are starting to fire, Cheetahs tasked to attack Shpetsnaz' slow but heavily armored monsters. At least those things are not seriously upgraded! Grenadiers are under fire, but after they will get to Yankee, they can get out of LOS of T-100s thanks to big ass building that is holdng computers of ICBM/AA defence system and call for UGVs reinforcement for uplink defence. Badgers are already using it to avoid harmful attention of Russian tankers. 5 units are engaging this platoon. -1 tank, Panthers are exchaning fire with T-100s and covering Grenadiers. -2 tanks, Alexander ordered them to retreat out of battlefield it seems, now next target - engineers. Yankee is almost ours. Grenadiers suffered some casualties, but they were very small. Tanks are working on infantry squad on our left flank, while SPGs shelling engineers in trees near our troops. Alexander is too aggressive - he pushes units to attack us, but because of wrong timing they appear on our radars one by one, instead of getting close in mass. Battle for.. everything, at this point. Spoiler Another group of choppers appeared, but they are moving to some other place than bulk of Enforcers troops. Cheetahs are getting away from this place as we are pretty good here, we need to watch for Kamovs trying to sneak somewhere. Heh, those attack helicopters were escorting Shpetsnaz to Bravo point, now they are hacking it. Meanwhile i tasked Badgers and Grenadiers with getting to Lima. Cheetahs managed to scare awaythose vultures. Marskmans are shelling Bravo in attempt to hit Shpetsnaz troops on it. Panthers preparing to meet BTRs. Left flank of MBTs is not secure, but those guys, running on their foots, will need a lot of time to get to tanks, enough for us to deal with BTRs. Cockroaches decided to not fuck with 120 mm tank cannons, but soldiers have different opinion. Panthers are now shelling them while they are in the open. Cheetahs were scouting areas near Lima to ensure secure deployment of Grenadiers and i managed to see this squad of Shpetsnaz sneaky operatives. Those are Wolfes for sure, only they have this good camo rating in SGB. In the same time engineers that were trying to get to Yankee from mountain road are retreating, but SPGs are sending HEs after them. Gunships uloading their HOT missiles on Alexander's saboteurs, they are now under fire of 4 units, but Grenadiers are still in danger. MBTs are targeted by Kamovs, who are targeted by Badgers, while SPGs, gunships, 1st team of Badgers and Grenadiers are trying to kill SGB saboteurs. We managed to finish Wolfes, but Grenadiers again suffered some casualties. Another unit of Russian tanks is coming to troops at Yankee. SPGs are opening fire against them. Also, looking at the map i see 2 teams of SGB gunships are preparing for action against troops on Yankee uplink. Panthers entered combat with advancing T-100s. Badgers are trying to drive Kamovs away, again. T-100s decided to not attack against our very heavy resistance, as they are under fire of 5 units with their CAS being actively engaged by our AA. Tanks are down. Troops near Yankee continue to endure almost all pressure incoming from nearby LZ of Shpetsnaz. Grenadiers are approaching Bravo, taking it will put us on dominant position. Badgers taking blocking positions for possible attack from Lima area. BTRs exited landing zone and found Panthers, parked nearby. *Turning away* "Nope." Bravo is almost ours, so WMD strike is incoming. Cheetahs are pushed deep into Sheptsnaz staging area in order to lure WMD strike. Also, new platoon of SGB MBTs was deployed. Incoming victory! Spoiler Bravo is in our hands, let's see how Alexander will deal with that situation. A bit different from what i expected - Cheetahs are out, but shockwave managed to grab one of Badger APCs units. At least main troops - tanks, SPGs and their support - APCs/AA and Grenadiers are Ok. I can work with that force. Kamovs are thinking that it is time to attack, but we still have good AA firepower. Another group of BTRs. Also, it seems that Kurochnik is assembling some sort of assault formation right on his landing area. We need to prepare for that, SPGs are repositioning to better cover our troops. I moved them a bit futher as those positions looks to be easier to defend and prevent gunships from penetrating our airspace. Like those who tried to get it. Or those. BTW, i called 2 more gunship teams and CV for support. Panthers are moved back to better position - Shpetsnaz troops are incoming. Tanks, infantry, attack helicopters - standart attack formation for Kurochnik. Badgers are also moving to different position, so if we need to retreat, they will not be trapped here with T-100s. And Grenadiers are taking Delta, i hope this will force Alexander to use some of his troops in order to clear his left flank from our presence. Shpetsnaz attack begins. Tanks are indeed changed direction and now are moving somewhere else, making things easier for us here. Cheetahs were tasked with scouting where those T-100s went and we found them. We can hunt them down, as they don't have any AA weaponry. Quick look at flank - Kamovs are rushing towards us. As there are no ground units visible, Badgers are moved ahead to shield Cheetahs from their evil twins. Tanks are turning away. Gunships slowly chewing through Ogres, one by one. APCs managed to scare away those Kamovs. T-100s are finished. Marksmans are working on infantry, while Cheetahs are providing eyes on targets. Moving gunships away to avoid taking more damage, as just 10 seconds left. That was stressing operation, although not "on the edge" as one we had against Tankaev. Results: Spoiler New toys for Badger, medium range microwave weapon. For some reason called "EMP". So far our battalion shown good results, even if we are rather weak (and our tanks are 5% weaker than other Enforcer battalion's MBTs). LoooSeR
After previous operation in Ft. Levski was done, Eastern front became rather silent. SGB is not active, so we were moved on Western front, where Americans made a landing and advanced through Spain, capturing it in the process. Overal situation. SGB apperently is concentrated on taking northern parts of US, while JSF is trying to knock Enforcer corps out of equation. Spoiler JSF are trying to take over Italian space center and we are going to stop those land grabing yankee. In this operation we will have airsupport, but our battalion can't use EU army support for now. Our opponent is Roger Funk, commander of one of JSF units in Europe, and our task is to defeat him in direct combat by destroying Roger's troops. He is an outspoken proponent of using attack helicopters on the offense and likes to strike fast, keeping his enemy off balance. Not sure how to fight against him using our weak equipment, but my plan "A" is to try to advance with wide frontline, use AFVs on left flank and infantry on right flank and in central build up area. In places where enemy is concentrate his attacks i will push avaliable troops and QRF. This should allow to decrease space to maneuver to JSF and decrease negative effects from casualties on one of flanks. For this plan i'm deploying troops with 2 infantry squads to push Space center, artillery as supporting element for both flanks, Badgers to counter enemy air attacks and to haul squishies around, CV to act as mobile pillbox to reinforce forces under pressure. During operation 2 gunship units will be put to work as QRF and later probably tanks or another unit of APCs, depending of what type of forces Funk will use more. Eurohordes are out, hunting for Americans. Battlefield map. Big runway will be probably a place where AFVs will clash, while urban areas will be infantry dominated. Badgers are moving right to Lima uplink with infantry squad to grab it and turn into forward defensive position. Eurohorde flooding build up Space center. First American tourists arrived early. First clashes: Spoiler We are greeting invaders with some fireworks. Pieces of 1 destroyed gunships are flying around. Blackfoots are retreating now, but AFV unit was spotted advancing towards our side of battlefield. Fastbacks and Schwarzkopfs are pushing through runway, time to do something. Oh, wow, Americans decided to push through runway with a whole party. 3 AFV units, 2 US Army squads and 1 team of gunships. EU army troops are now targeted by this big ass group and they are destroying them fast. Marksmans started to shell this assault formation. On right flank Kommandos re-activated Lima and now are fighting with US Army troops. On left flank CV was moved ahead to at least slow down this party train until Panthers arrive. SPGs continue to engage enemies, now they are firing at IFVs. Because of IFVs Cheetahs are held away from Funk's assault group. Panthers arrived and dealing with Fastbacks. Fastbacks managed to find a LOS on Marksman SPGs, they are moving to cover. JSF MBTs are going to be hit with airstrike. MBTs lost 2 vics, but i'm affraid they will push futher, Badgers were tasked to distract them. Still can't use Cheetahs as second team of IFVs is somewhere near. And here are 2 teams of IFVs visible behind Schwarzopfs, this is going to be hard attack to stop. APCs lost 1 vic from tanks fire, but we managed to knock them out. Now our command truck is targeted by Roger's artillery and this mean Cheetahs have new task. Panthers are holding their positions, Fastbacks can't crack this forces. Back and forth: Spoiler Our gunships found Spartans. We have very little time to do anything, as Cheetahs are under fire. Dropped HOT missile strike on one of SPG teams and now choppers are exiting this strike, can't digress to A point as gunships will be under fire from IFVs and from JSF troops at Delta, so only way is to central point of battlefield, through small arms fire of some sneaky infantry squad in forest nearby. 1 gunship lost, but this is rather light casualties for such deep attack. We are under heavy fire, especially command vehicle. Time to make our move - we are going to attack in attempt to smash through JSF troops and get to Spartans. As he don't have tanks to counter our armored assault, this feels like only good option that don't involve retreating. Cheetahs and airstrike were used to finish this team of IFVs as Panthers just destroyed another one. Now Blackfoots are going to eat a lot of fire from Badgers and Cheetahs. Spartans are just near us. Don't see second battery of SPGs, probably retreated after our HOT missile barrage from gunships. Grenadiers that were shielding SPGs now tasked to capture Sierra, we can turn it into a stronghold thanks to UGVs and cover near building itself, and it will be a good place to park our own SPGs. Spartans almost finished, as Roger's troops are thin here for a moment. Blackfoots are trying to cover Spartans retreat, Badgers will deal with them. A sqaud of Pioneers is on A, called airstrike on them, plus SPGs will shell them now. Kommandos are pushing on right flank at this moment, i'm not sure if they should take Whiskey or save time and push directly into combat, using forests as a cover and defilade. JSF reinforcements looks like is starting to arrive. Runway of death: Spoiler Badgers are attacked by very cocky infantry squad, they lost one vic. Cheetahs trying to gun down this infantry unit in the open while Panthers are pushing forward to clash with Roger's IFVs. Badgers are shielding Panthers from counter-attacking team of gunships. Tanks now switched their attention to infantry squad that is under MG fire from our own attack helicopters. Feels like Cheetahs are firing weak, european bullets instead of proper stuff, as 7 helicopters can't kill this group of JSF infantry in the open fast enough. Ooops, Funk have lust 5 units left and he now can drop WMD at us. Troops are trying to move out of possible place of kinetic rods impact. He crashed Foxtrot uplink with EMP strike, but i was prepared and upgraded 2 more uplinks to have reliable air support. Eurocopters are tasked to finish this unit ASAP. Well, that could be worse. Badgers were nearly defeated and i would ordered them to get out of battlefield. Now SPGs have not much protection on ground, but at least their flank is secured (Sierra) and both gunships team are up. Roger Funk tries to deploy AFV unit, as i don't have anything on ground to stop them for sure (if those are IFVs), decided to use our own WMD against them. Just 3 left. Marksmans are going to shell infantry squad that survived our Space Laser attack. Grenadiers are now moving ahead to secure our artillery pieces from possible rush of Americans, with Cheetahs shadowing a team of Blackfoots in order to avoid any inappropriate thoughts on their side. I'm trying to destroy this unit at any cost, as just few of them left to win, but Blackfoots not accepting this firefight. Marksmans almost defeated this squad. 3rd unit showed up. I deployed Panthers, in any case they are capable of destroying Fastbacks with ease. Our SPGs are now shelling IFVs, while Grenadiers were pushed futher into next building, from which they are keeping Blackfoots in check. Airstrike incoming.... Only 2 gunships are left in their unit! At this point fate of Roger's battalion is becoming obvious. Finishing move: Spoiler Kommandos are going to lay an ambush here, their task is to not allow infantry to get away from my main assault group through forests. Helicopters are providing recon for artillery, we are clearing Delta to have more space to move around last troops that Funk assembled together in rather tight space. Reinforcements arrived. Last move and we are done with American tourists in Italy. Another airstrike called against IFVs while Panther MBTs are closing in to their firing positions. SPGs defeated last infantry squad, gunships were shot down, those are last enemies. Roger started very aggressive and was rather hard to stop, but run out of steam after WMD strike exchanges. He went very heavy on my left flank, leaving right and central area clear, which allowed to me to concentrate troops and push him back. Results: Spoiler Now our battalion will have ability to call light EU Army units. So far 5 battles and 59 units defeated with no KIA, not bad. Meanwhile, SGB and JSF have a heroic battle for Washington D.C. I feel like our battles are more like a sideshow compared to that,
LoooSeR
As a result of previous mission Federation managed to reclaim Le Ceito military base, but JSF is not giving up and Fatties started an attack to take it. Good thing that Americans don't have any kind of support from their airforces and ground troops during this operation. Spoiler Nathaniel Goudie is rather aggressive tactician, i'm going to act around this fact. Most likely he will push through central road (D-S-B) so majority of troops should be there. Infantry will get to F-W line as it is contains a lot of buildings so AFVs will not feel good there. Right flank probably will not be that active as it is open fields where artillery, tanks and gunships will be able to stop attacks without much problems. Grenadiers will work on central line uplinks, while Kommandos will be flanking unit. All other units will be deployed during active phase of operation. SPGs are being unloaded from transport helicopter. Grenadiers fireteam. Kommandos. Badgers are moving together with EU army infantry to support them, while infantry is moving to their positions. A group of JSF attack choppers are visible far away. First firefights: Spoiler Nathaniel troops are also moving to central area, in mass. We are starting with cannon fodder type of Americans. Blackfoots also starting to engage our troops. As SPGs are already working on enemy troops, Badgers are ordred to move out of area, but at such angle that Blackfoots are going to be under our fire. Fastbacks are getting close, making Badgers to stay outside of their firing range is a priority. Time to use our shiny new microwave weapon. -1 Blackfoot and they are now retreating. IFVs look like are not stopping here and rushing towards our positions. SPGs now under fire from this very aggressive rush of Goudie's IFVs, didn't expected that. First team is trying to get the fuck out of LOS of Fastback's autocannons, while Kommandos were ordered to cover them. Pressure from our troops and second team of SPGs paid off and IFVs are retreating after loosing 2 vics, Badgers are tasked with blocking their exit, those asshole should be wiped out. And those rushers are smashed. Cheetahs are under attack of tanks, but we are still in better position as AA coverage of those tanks was defeated few seconds ago. Now Marksmans are going to deal with Schwarzkopfs, Cheetahs will keep their eyes on them and jump into action if needed. And here are SPGs, i will try to get to them, Panthers and Badgers will assist in that counter-push. Counter-counter attack Spoiler Now we can try to brekthrough Nathaniel's troops near Sierra - heavily damaged MBTs, team of SPGs and gunship team with 3 choppers up. For this i will use our own gunships, Panther tanks, Badger APCs/AA missile system and 2 SPG teams, which should be just enough to accomplish this attack. Badgers now are pressuring Blackfoots to go away. Flying closer revealed that there is an infantry squad at Sierra and Goudie ordred tanks to turn back. 2nd team of Blackfoots appeared, this is bad. 1 gunships already lost. I need to push gunships away, which will leave tanks and Badgers outnumbered by Americans. Badgers are attacked by JSF MBTs as they were trying to push gunships away, they are fucked at this point. I'm not ordrering tanks to get out, will try to "trade" them for enemy tanks and probably SPGs. American armor is defeated, but we lost both APCs and MBTs in this failed attack. Calling CV reinforcements to provide AA support against 2 groups of hostile gunships, Nathaniel will likely to use them aggressively. SPGs were EMP'ed, Cheetahs need to shield them. Grenadiers upgraded Bravo just in time, we can now call air support. One team of gunships was finished and completely killed by jets. Marksmans are under artillery fire of Spartan SPGs, they need to relocate. Blackfoots are providing intel on our units position for their artillery. Now Grenadiers are under fire as our SPGs moved out of LOS of gunships or Nathaniel is planning to take Bravo. CV is on the ground, starting to move on right side of river to a bridge near Sierra. I'm planning a slow counter-counter "attack" to lift some pressure from other units that are crucial for my battleplan. Charlemagne command truck is pushing forward and managed to drive off JSF birds. Something is moving on bridge, it looks like. Those were Ghosts from Sierra uplink. SPGs were shelling areas where Spartans were parked, forcing them to reposition, now we can use them to fire at thoe guys. That was a quick defeat of those guys. Meanwhile our own light infantry squad is busy with Foxtrot uplink upgrade, they should go for Whiskey soon. Now my gunships are providing intel to our SPGs on enemy units positions. Attempt №2 Spoiler SPGs have air and infantry guarding it. CV is going to work as AA system, to cover damaged Cheetahs and generally shield SPGs from Blackfoots. Damn, there is a second team of artillery and we are light on air vehicles... Spartans are trying to destroy it, while our own SPGs are trying to destroy them. Calling EMP strike on those guys to give time to our SPGs and for CV to recover. Blackfoots flied away, giving us a free strike on Spartans. European Federation army recon team, good-ish against choppers and infantry in the open. They should be a not bad reinforcements for CV. I'm trying to keep units on frontline minimal now, because Kommandos are moving towards Whiskey uplink and after we will capture it Nathaniel will start to fling WMD at us. Blackfoots managed to sneak a missile barrage attack on Cheetahs, they are now 2 machines down. Marksmans started to shell second team of Spartans as first one is nearly defeated and retreating (most likely out of this battlefield). JSF deployed another team of gunships and now this pack of vultures are moving towards Kommandos, they probably saw them when they were approaching W point. 2nd recon team of EU army arrived and now is engaging Spartans, forcing them to retreat. Kommandos are under fire of 8 gunships, called EMP on this big group of targets. This should give our infantry time to damage them and probably scare away. Seeing that this big flock of birds was flying towards our infantry, i ordred Kommandos to garrison nearby building. This also give a Grenadiers a free way to Sierra uplink. Gunships are flying away, probably they were ordered to deal with second Army Recon team that was fucking up Spartans. Nathaniel wasted some time trying to destroy Recon team, this allowed to us to advance. CV was parked in such way that it is shielding Cheetahs from Blackfoots. Now they have easier time attacking Goudie's artillery. Second attempt of JSF gunships to attack Kommandos. Enemy understand that if our light infantry gets to W, battle would be turned into our favor. Infantry team that was protecting SPGs near Sierra is finished, while Cheetahs are starting to damage Spartans near Delta point. CV is under fire, but they are giving time for Cheetahs to defeat those artillery pieces. Almost done. SPGs are finished, Cheetahs need to digress, as Blackfoots are moving back. Heh, looks like Nathaniel understood that Whiskey is lost for him and now tries to damage control by turning his attention to Alpha uplink. Sierra is being captured, so it will not help for him, as Kommandos are pushing to W as well. 5 minutes away Spoiler Time to embrace before impact. Moving SPGs away from each other, as they are likely to be hit. Nathaniel crashed Lima uplink (probably he is angry about those Recon teams). I already ordered reinforcements - 2 APCs teams and a Panthers unit. First rod took out CV and killed all UGVs under it's command. Second one was worse - it took out 1 SPG team and Grenadiers at Sierra. At least we have serious AA coverage and heavy armor to punch through JSF troops. 1st team of SGPs is hiding under cover of Recon team that i deployed previously as rear back up position for SPGs. Not really surprised that it is now useful. Jets were called to strike one of gunship team. Looks like second team is coming back, time to drop our own space WMD. I see 2 evac choppers, so 2 units were defeated with this strike. Not bad. I'm calling SPG, gunships and CV, this will completely restore my forces. Kommandos took W and restarted victory countdown, our EW dominance is strong. Nathaniel brought some of his own AFvs, we are going to fight on central line yet again. Because i have 2 units of Badgers and just single platoon of tanks, decided to use Badgers as sponge for special attacks of JSF troops. Fastbacks are wasting their missile barrage on a unit that have a back up team. Badgers pressured choppers out, time to crush Americans. EMP called on those tanks to give our own MBTs time to get into LOS. Defeated gunship unit was accidently killed in this firefight. Second group of AFVs is advancing on second road, didn't saw them. Badgers are trying to get away, Panthers will destroy those oversized things. Except 1 unit, all my troops are near Sierra point. Kommandos are sneaking through forests on Nathaniel's right flank. Just 1 minute left but JSF didn't gave up. They are pushing IFVs and tanks to Alpha point. Called airstrike on tanks, just to be sure. Goudie is bouncing between taking Alpha and counter-attacking our assault group. Kommandos are overwatching Delta. So enemy managed to deploy plenty of troops, but this doesn't matter - 7 seconds left. Even if he managed to stop our EW dominance, Artillery would make a short work of AFVs, with Kommandos destroying infantry and 8 tanks crushing what is left of enemies. CV and Badgers would be good enough AA cover for our advance. Results: Spoiler 1 KIA is UGV units that were protecting CV during Kinetic rods strike. We performed well enough and pushed those World police guys out of military base and advanced futher into Spain. Meanwhile Shpetsnaz captured capital of US. Probably should have sended more troops there instead of trying to take over Southern France or Italy. 59 units were defeated before this battle and 74 now, we trashed 15 units in one battle alone! LoooSeR
Americans are counter-attacking us, we need to fight back to hold on this region. Spoiler Our task is to defeat all attackers, which are lead by Jordan Taylor, who likes attack helicopter and infantry. In this battle we can deploy a lot troops early on, same with our enemy. Our LZs are close to each other so battle is going to be a head on clash. ...and this mean that i'm going with AFV heavy deployment. Tanks, CV, Artillery. Part 1 of Grand destruction: Spoiler We only started and enemy is already shelling us. This is going to be a slaughter. Exchange of shells is going into our favor. I'm trying to sneak Cheetahs to enemy artillery. Attempt kind of failed - Pioneers were nearby, covering Spartans. Majority of troops are cleaning area from US army infantry. CV is moving to attack IFVs with laser, while Badgers are moving to engage Blackfoots and cover 2nd platoon of Panthers. This battle is not about tactics, it is about reflexes and positioning/movement of troops. Part 2: Spoiler Cheetahs were hit by JSF gunships missile barrage, but Blackfoots are also getting destroyed. And there are done. Jordan is charging us with his CV and UGVs. I'm moving Grenadiers to Sierra, they will upgrade it. After that - probably move back or forward, to flank JSF. Our troops are advancing, chewing through enemies. Schwarzkopfs tanks are priority targets now. 3rd platoon of Panther MBTs is already involved. Traded gunships for MBT unit. We are coming on top of this massacre. Archon is out of action. Damaged platoon of Panthers is retreating, going out of battlefield. Time for SPGs and nearby infantry. Those guys are fucked. Jordan tries to save SPGs with Blackfoots, but Badgers are still here. My CV is now engaging Spartans with lasers in close range, while Panthers are finishing last fireteam of infantry squad. Another infantry squad that damaged Cheetahs during their first attempt to get to Spartans is now here, in the open. Now we can focus on SPGs. Part 3, Did i parked right on LZ of American invaders? Spoiler Jordan indeed use a lot of gunships, but Badgers and CV still holding skies pretty clear over our troops. More of Blackfoots teams are incoming. Called airstrike on retreating gunships, i want to deny this unit and CPs for it to Jordan. Excellent! Heh, infantry squad was just dropped and it appears that i parked SPGs right on JSF landing zone... 1 SPG was destroyed by those guys, but now tanks are going to sort this shit out. JSF tries to attack SPGs, but i parked Badgers in such way that it covers them well enough. Chasing gunships, those guys are not going to escape. Oh damn, here WMDs phase starts. Part 4, Massacre is not over yet: Spoiler I didn't had time to move units away from each other. This assault formation appears to be no longer capable of fighting back efficiently. One more infantry squad that was deployed. I think this is the last unit Jordan have. Ooops, Badgers driven right into giant space laser. At this point i wanted this operation just to end, it was rather stressful. Few moments left. Give up already, Jordan! Airstrike missed a bit. JSF are dropping AFVs here, this is bad as this assault group no longer have 2 platoons worth of MBTs. Infantry is done, but now Badgers are under fire of just delivered tanks. Badgers are trying to attack Blackfoots in the same time as they are shelled by tanks. SPGs no longer have AA umbrella... Cheetahs and reinforcements are coming here, this fight is not over yet. Those are just last 2 enemies left under command of Jordan. TRIPLE gunship spam is going to put a final nail to this battle. I payed not enough attention to this mission, because of my previous experience with Jordan on lower difficulties. Although he still lost this battle badly, only my misjudgment of when this battle will be over really screwed my forward troops, they could have been moved back to regroup and face a wave of reinforcements after WMD strike better. Results: Spoiler We still managed to advance our positions and pushed americans out of Europe! Shpetsnaz continue their conquest of USA. I feel like we are going to meet with them soon. LoooSeR
Looks like JSF is trying to conduct landing operation here, again. We need to stop this attempt, deny American foots our great beaches of Portugal! Spoiler Joseph is an adaptive tactician, so we need to plan around that. As usual for this map i will try to take Y-Z line and tie bulk of enemy troops in battle, while our infantry will sneak to uplinks and take them. After initial phase my actions will be adjusted for Gonzales actions. CV is generally capable to resist to any units (except SPGs at long range for obvious reasons) and because i don't know what Gonzales will deploy early on, we will take it as first to deploy. Grenadiers and Badgers - as usual. Our Eurhordes moving forward to establish a frontline. Map of our future battlefield. A lot of forests on edges, but unlikely that i wil use them. Blackfoots on our radars. Badgers and UGVs. Fastbacks spotted, they are moving towards uplink. First encounter: Spoiler We start with US Army infantry. JSF troops are moving towards Yankee. We have some time to clear this place, SPGs are on the way to support us with dislodging JSF from nearest uplinks. Cheetahs are using a moment to take cheap shots at JSF troops, while Grenadiers are taking Delta. Gunships are getting out of Yankee, too much troops are there. We need to crack this group of JSF by other means. SPGs are moving to forward firing position. Fastbacks are distracted by EU army troops, we can try to take few more shots at them. Well, damn. EMP disabled 3 vehicles and Cheetahs are under fire. EU infantry are supporting us, we have a chance to not take damage after that EMP. Badgers recovered and now missiles are cutting through air towards Blackfoots. Initial exchange of fire is over. Time to ramp up action. Hills full of destruction Spoiler EMP strike hit CV and APCs again, but Cheetahs are trying to sneak into enemy part of battlefield. Tanks and IFVs are already here... ... and they are trying to gun down vehicles disabled by EMP. SPGs are shelling them, but we are not going to survive without casualties. Joseph is trying to maximize gains from this moment. Cheetahs found Spartans. Meanwhile Joseph used 3rd EMP strike against CV in attempt to hold it in place. Spartans are shelling CV, we need to destroy Gonzales' artillery, fast. Cheetahs lost gunship, pushed them away to recover. Grenadiers are occupying hill between D and Y, observing part of area near Lima. JSF troops advanced to Lima and probably are going to flank us. Grenadiers are going to overwatch possible path of flanking attack. Panthers driving towards hill, i spotted a group of saboteur and SPGs are shelling this squad by using groundfire. Great, those guys were defeated before they managed to get to Grenadiers and shoot them from close range. Jordan tried to open a path to Delta and my Grenadiers were in the way, thats why this team of Ghosts was moving towards them. Meanwhile Grenadiers spotted Americans, pushing forward. Our soldiers are engaging that squad. Panthers are firing at US Army troops that took shelter between 2 uplinks. We are going to clear this area to advance futher. CV is under artillery barrage, again. We need to destroy those Spartans, we were safe for few moments because main troops were not spotted or because SPGs were relocating after Cheetah's raid. Badgers are pushing Americans away, i'm trying to carve a safe corridor towards Gonzales' artillery pieces. SPGs received new target - enemy engineers between L and Y, so only gunships now will be used to destroy hostile SPGs. Thats why Badgers are not going to stop, they are going to escort our gunships right to Spartans, so we can fuck them up, badly. Time for a lunch. Almost done, Gonzales now throws his choppers at us in attempt to counter our efforts. Badgers are working now extra hard to push those vultures away. At the same time SPGs and tanks are finishing last troops near uplinks - US troops and guarding UGVs. Done. Perfect opportunity to deal with Blackfoots! Grenadiers are going to push to Lima, thats why Marksmans are clearing the way for them, destroying UGVs. Not getting out of it! Excellent! Gonzales isn't doing that great, he used a lot of resources for 3 EMP strikes. Dominance: Spoiler Gonzales found few bucks in his pocket to get those new shiny IFVs. Enforcer corps troops are dominating majority of battlefield. Grenadiers are almost on Lima point, they will grab it and deny some income to Joseph. Panthers now have a toy to play around. Oh, they broke it. How terrible. Gunships, a lot of them. Again. -1 gunship team. -2 Troops pushed very far, getting almost to Z-A line. Alpha is defended by UGVs. SPGs were relocated to support troops that managed to get much deeper that i initially expected. Ghosts are trying to sneak in. Tanks are in danger, Badgers are moving to intercept. Damn, 1 tank lost. Still, we are fully combat capable. Ghosts managed to find a cover while we were busy with gunships. At this point JSF fate is obvious. New team of IFVs. Yankee and Foxtrot are in our hands. Enemy have only 1 uplink left. We are going to intercept this team of Fastbacks. EMP strike to avoid APC taking damage from JSF IFVs. Now path to American forces landing area is clear for our European hands. Freshly deployed infantry squad. They are very deep in big pile of shit. That was last enemy. Grenadiers were not capturing Sierra to avoid triggering use of WMD (as taking it will mean that over 50% of uplinks would be under our control) Results: Spoiler During operation i was calling Recon teams in preparations for possible serious counter attack, especially if Gonzalez used gunships. 4 Recon teams, covering SPGs, lol. That was pretty good. SGB continues their campaign to take over US. We were so good in our operation, that our troops managed to conduct fruitful operation, and now we have a foothold on US soild as well. This is going to be a fight of Russians and Euroweaklings over destroyed and smoking landscape of US JSF have only 4 regions under their control. Looks like SGB stopped operations against us and our leadership tasked us to fight Americans for a reason...
LoooSeR
And we continue, now - in USA. Enforcer corps organized assault on US in order to shield main land Europe from grabing hands of Americans. In this operation we will be far from European Federation military bases, so no air or ground support to our troops, we need to win this on our own, while enemy will have ability to call USAF to support JSF manpower, that will try to stop us. Spoiler Roger Funk, again. Last time we met in Italy, he was rather aggressive in early stages of battle, but rather quickly lost momentum. In this operation i will go with defensive tactics in first part of operation and then switch to pressuring him after bulk of his troops will be dismantled. Tanks, CV and SPG will help to establish defensive line and shatter Funk's attempts to dislodge us. Choppers will act as scouts and vultures, hunting down isolated units if they can. Grenadiers will move to uplinks and reinforce them with UGVs. JSF landing area is near Sierra. Most likely we sill clash somewhere near Delta. Early gunships recon flight - just like in previous encounter with him. Anti-air party Spoiler Badgers tarted to work on those Blackfoots, Cheetahs going to join in a few moments. Second one! Each gunship team lost 1 machine so far. Not bad, and we just started. Although now Roger knows composition of deployed troops, he probably will try to adjust his own forces to fight against us more efficiently. Badger are chasing Blackfoots, it is a great chance to defeat them. 2nd group of choppers are comming, they will eat missiles as well. EMP will disable AFVs and gunships, will give both Badgers and Marksmans time to deal some damage. Gunships are down, now it is time for ground troops to fight. A lot of Americans to defeat. Deep strike and CV boxing Spoiler Panthers are advancing, pressuring JSF troops away. SPGs, APCs and Cheetahs now busy with clearing areas near our troops. Blackfoots sneaked to SPGs, we need to deal with them, quickly. A group of AFVs from Zulu point are now assaulting our positions as well. 2 tanks units are pushing our positions. Badgers are engaging Blackfoots, we need to stop their attack on SPGs. Roger also used EMP to disabled CV and tanks. Schwarzkopfs are out of battle, tanks are back in action. SPGs are working on those tanks. Roger is using his CV to attack us aw well. He throws at us all heavily armored vics he have. Ou troops are firing at UGVs, trying to destroy Archon's escort and leave it without support. EU army troops rushed to cover, they will help us to fight against drones and possible gunship raids. SPGs are trying to deny Delta to Roger's infantry, while Badgers are keeping air clear of his vultures. Another infantry unit rushing towards our positions, with more hostile gunships on horizon. Archon found a road around bulk of my troops, now it just rushing to my SPGs. Troops now prioritize Roger's CV, he is very cocky with that deep strike. Badgers are dealing with yet fresh team of gunships, Funk is keeping a lot of pressure on us. Assembling troops in one big defensive formation was a good idea so far. Tanks are called back to deal with infantry. SPGs, gunships and now our own CV managed to force Archon to change its mind about pushing deeper. Blackfoots lost 2 gunships and now are flying away, time to deal with infantry. Archon is out of this fight. Those gunships are trying their luck, trying to save infantry that was caught in the open by 8 of our tanks. Both are defeated. Looks like things are clear and wave of assault is over, for now. Assault! Spoiler Now it is time to push forward, according to my excellent and very smart plan. Fly away! Second group of gunships, now they are under attack of microwave weapon that we mounted on Badgers. SPGs finally finished this squad of enemies, artillery managed to stop them few meters away from Delta control link. Another team of gunships, receiving Badger's attention. One more infantry squad that tried to sneak to Delta was found by Panthers. Roger is relying on gunships way too much. They are over, Delta is secured. Gunships down. Another unit eating microwave weapons attack. WMD strike is incoming, he will drop it on AFVs, most likely. I'm ok with that, they did want they were tasked with. Going down with fireworks! Finishing move: Spoiler Close support WMD strike, heh. I have enough resources to replace this assault group completely. They survived. Tried to push tanks as close as possible to either avoid WMD attack before those guys are finished, or make Roger drop Kinetic rods and finish his own unit. He managed to do none of that, asshole. SPGs moving closer to JSF landing area, under cover of CV. Cheetahs will be their guiding hand. Looks like something is being deployed by Americans. Yet more gunships. Also, infantry squad was deployed, Funk probably ordered to leftovers of previous infantry unit to get our and replaced them with fresh guys. Cheetahs lured enemies closer and i EMP'ed them. Trying to scare them away. APC and 2 tank platoons are already deployed and moving to us. Grenadiers moved to Foxtrot and now taking it. They will reinforce it with UGVs, in order to deny possible attempts to flank us. More Badgers were called in, we need better AA coverage. Perfect moment to use our own WMD - AFVs are deploying, infantry is nearby and we have a chance to get those gunships destroyed. Managed to take out 2 units, but only 2 left and one of them is heavily damaged team of American attack choppers. Hahaha, both remaining units are damaged gunships. 2 AA missile systems on fast chassis of wheeled APCs are going to finish those easily! Results: Spoiler Placed mines near uplinks on my right flank, but Roger seems to me don't use flanking that much. Still, will use that just to be safe. Grenadiers and European UGVs defending it. We are trashing Americans! JSF is falling apart at this point. Just 1 region left under their control, Florida. Next battle is going to be last and Americans will throw everything at us.
LoooSeR
And here were are, 1 step away from shattering JSF and ending US forces existance. JSF is holding just 1 region and in desperate attempt to survive they are attacking a swamp that we secured in previous battle, throwing everything they at us. Our enemy is Roger Funk, again. I will be not surprised if he is the last commander that represents Joint Strike Force. My plan will be generally the same as in previous operation against him on this swamp - in first phase we will be very defensive, slowly taking uplinks that are easier to grab and in second phase (after bulk of JSF troops will be destroyed) we will conduct full-scale counter-attack. He is rather aggessive and prefer to use gunships, so bulk of my troops have to be in close proximity to Badger APCs and their AA missiles. Spoiler Same deployment as in previous op. Bulk of troops will be between Bravo and Delta. Last dance starts! Spoiler We started with clearing area from leftovers of US Army. Funk sended his beloved helicopters against us. A group of IFVs rushed to Delta, they are targeted by our SPGs. Bringing 2nd SPG and additional team of Badgers. Badgers tasked with clearing Delta, will try to deny Delta to JSF. IFVs are moving back to Sierra, but they found an angle on Badgers. Our 8 wheeled tin cans are not strong enough to fight against IFVs. Now APCs are moving back to recover. CV is now pushing forward to intercept Fastbacks, that tasted blood of APCs. Badgers taking flanking shots on IFVs as they are distracted by UGVs. Heh, choppers are back to their usual "shit and run". Freshly arrived APCs are now participating in some action. Fastbacks and Blackfoots are retreating. Looks like Funk didn't gave up on plans to take Delta, he is really persistent. EU army units are with us, so this place is not bad as defensive position. SPGs currently are working on those guys near Delta, can't really attack them as i have nothing on the ground to attack without losing somebody. Sawmill firefight Spoiler Roger is trying to secure central part of this swamp, throwing even heavily damaged units at us. Airstrike is called on armor unit parked near Delta. Schwarzkopfs lost 1 tank in their unit after airstrike. Cheetahs finishing those guys with single tap (more like a lot of "single taps", kek). Tanks are defeated, but another unit of AFVs are comming in. Artillery fire is visible near Sierra. Cheetahs have a job to do. EMP disabled gunships and IFVs, making it easy for Cheetahs to get to Spartans, while Badgers are working on gunships. A lot of troops are getting to middle island in attempt to take Delta. Badgers were hit and lost another vehicle. Attempt to retreat wasn't so successful... Delta is now crawling with Roger lead forces. Cheetahs caught Blackfoots and payed back for Badgers. Battle for Delta: Spoiler IFVs dropped infantry squad that is now re-capturing Delta. CV went forward to keep those things in check. Funk also sended his 2nd platoon of tanks here. Infantry squad is rushing from Yankee to Delta as well. That is a lot of enemies. Delta is captured and now JSF have 4 uplinks vs 2 ours and 1 neutral, so JSF now have EW dominance. I called EMP strike against Sierra to put end of their EW control. Microwave attack from Badgers against Blackfoots to add to our damage output. We need to defeat them ASAP. CV eating fire from IFVs.At least 5 units of JSF is here. 2nd platoon of tanks arriving shortly to the frontline, SPGs are tasked with destroying them. Called second squad of Grenadiers to secure uplinks and for AA cover. Now our own MBTs showed up for this battle, we are pushing forward, lifting pressure from CV. Blackfoots are trying to attack us again. Tanks started to lose vic, thanks to SPGs. Badgers chasing Blackfoots, clearing area for our own tanks and gunships. IFVs are still here, not trying to get out. Panthers are engaging them to clear area from them and save APCs. Schwarzkopfs are done. CV enters firefight, even if it is seriously damaged. 1 tank lost, this fight continues. We are slowly losing troops here, erosion by fire. 3 gunship teams in the air... damn that is a lot of firepower flying around. We managed to defeat IFVs and tanks, while our Grenadiers sneaked to Zulu and now taking it. Tanks are heavily damaged from overwhelming attack of gunships. Tanks are out of action, i called more MBTs and Badgers to keep up with this pressure from Roger Funk. Delta is still occupied by JSF infantry, fighting for central island and for Delta is not over. Too much pressure Spoiler Command truck is held by a duct tape at this point. JSF troops are rushing forward in attempt to dislodge us. Small mistake with order where to go lead to 1 more APC being destroyed. I am jumping from unit to unit to keep up with gunship attacks and infantry attack and now starting to make mistakes. Fastbacks arrived to Delta, they will support infantry in their push as those guys managed to hold a ground to use as attacking point on those damaged troops that are located here. Cheetahs ate missiles from side, 1 machine is out of action. Another group of enemy choppers are trying to gun down Grenadiers, who were moving from Zulu back here, to support us. Command truck is out of action after eating another missile barrage. 3rd group of Blackfoots is trying to kill tanks that where moving from LZ to a frontline, while team of Grenadiers and Badgers that were driving towards Yankee found enemy infantry that was trying to sneak in to Alpha from Y uplink and now actively engaging them. Cheetahs lost another gunship, as Fastbacks rushed forward to launch several missiles at our gunships. At this point i called another, 4th APC platoon, as this gunship spam is becoming really hard to balance out. IFVs are still advancing. Badgers are holding them until tanks arrive. This pressure managed to wear off several units and defeat 2 on top of that. Funk is still trying to sneak a missile or 2 before Badgers arrive to kick their asses out. 3rd (or 4th?) platoon of American MBTs appeared. They opened with HESH rounds, taking our 1 wheeled tin can. Damanged team of Cheetahs is also down, as those tanks were supported by IFVs. Roger still tries to shatter my troops near Bravo by putting a lot of his units around central island and ordering them to attack. Heavily damaged team of APCs are parked here to at least shield some of troops nearby. We are stil in 1st phase of my plan, can't shatter attacking troops. I'm pushing infantry to Yankee in attempt to decrease pressure on forces near Delta and cut some of resources flow to Funk. Is it time for 2nd phase, mr great tactician? Spoiler Um... how? We didn't taken any uplinks to put our EW system to work... Great, we lost 2 units, 1 unexperienced APC team is KIA and a squad of Grenadiers veterans are also KIA. This is rather bad in long run, as i didn't used many engineers in a first place so not many of them have any kind of experience and capabilities of those veterans. Roger, you are dipshit asshole, you will pay, you will tun away with a tail between your legs! Angrily i called an airstrike on gunship unit in attempt to clear skies a bit. They are KIA as well, we still need to finish 2 more gunship teams and AFVs moving to Delta. That AFV unit were damaged Fastbacks, now they are going to get enough attention from me. Blackfoots trying to use a moment, but i switched damaged platoon of Badgers to a fresh, new team of APCs. Roger changed tactics, it seems - now he is pushing infantry through forests on my left flank. One squad is running directly to Zulu with aim to establish EW dominance, again. But our Grenadiers are on Yankee, hacking it. American soldiers are escorted by MBTs. Tanks working on nearest squad, with support of SPGs. We need to clear area around us so later we can smash enemies at Zulu. Gunships exchanging missiles. Gunships are done. Airstrike should get those guys. And they are done. We can now push forward, feels like Roger is losing initiative. EMP will hold them in place. Running away, Roger? Now enemies are now visible. No deployed troops are visible... Heh, fucker, you are DONE! Results: Spoiler Last region of JSF is now under our control. Only Russia and we are left... Time to put some new gizmos.
LoooSeR
With JSF total defeat, our troops have only 1 enemy left - SGB of Russia. SGB decided to not wait and they are launching an assault on Maxwell base that we captured from Americans earlier. We are tasked to hold this base or defeat Shpetsnaz troops. Spoiler Novikov is leading Shpetsnaz troops in this fight, he is sharp tactician and should be taken seriously. My plan is to take all uplinks inside of Maxwell base walls perimeter (W-S-L-Z-A uplinks) which should be enough to put enemies on losing side as they will have less uplinks that us; or try to defeat enemies completely, depending on situation. Usual first wave troops composition, but in case of Grenadiers my 2nd best unit have not much experience and capabilities as one that was killed under WMD strike during battle with last JSF battalion. Eurohordes are rushing towards parts of base near entrances. Map of battlefield. 5 uplinks are located inside of military base, so enemies can get to them through only 3 entrances - near Lima, next to Whiskey and not far from Alpha. Entrance near Lima is blocked by barricades, so AFVs are unlikely to be a problem there. Kamovs are first to be spotted, as usual. First encounter: Spoiler First soldiers of Russian army are charging entrance near W point, with 2nd group already reaching areas near Alpha. Badgers and Cheetah gunships are starting to fire at attackers in order to clear area. We are taking Lima, while Novikov's troops are taking 2 uplinks, which means he went with more infantry-heavy deployment. BTRs are driving closer to entrance to the base, Arkadiy probably will use them to attack gunships or haul infantry to one of uplinks inside of base. Badger arrived and helped to wipe out Russian cannon fodder. 3rd group of conscripts is spotted while rushing towards Sierra uplink. 2nd group advanced rather deep. EMP was used to disable Badgers. SGB troops are now at entry point, Novikov will try to push inside, for sure. BTRs now are pushing, Badgers need to disappear from their current pos. CV is now working as a roadblock. BTRs finished several squads, CV is still slowly moving closer to Shpetsnaz APCs to shield Badgers from them. Badgers are busy with Kamovs that are trying to get in military base airspace. Now Cheetahs can scout what SGB deployed so far. Zhukovs, infantry and another AFV unit. Cheetahs are back from scouting fly, we need to embrasse for serious onslaught. Onslaught begins: Spoiler Our SPGs now have MRLS modules to use, and we will drop their contents on Arkadiy's troops. Cheetahs finished those guys before main assault began. We need to do as much damage as possible before breakthrough push starts. That is a bad place to park... Novikov decided to attack now, so BTRs are attacking us now, launching missiles at SPGs. BTRs showed up in worst time as Marksmans were in forward position to launch MRLS strike. SPGs are fucked if we will not stop BTRs. 1 SPG is out, damn. Badgers and Cheetahs are going back to attack BTRs. Didn't expected that those guys will ignore CV and go for SPG directly. At least Zhukovs were taken out of action by big fireball created by fuel tanks explosion. SPGs are fucked. BTRs are defeated by combined firepower of several units, but those motherfuckers managed to drop infantry, and now those guys are engaging what left of SPG unit. Fucker dropped EMP to allow infantry to finish SPGs. This is result of me being too cocky with SPG firing position being too close to enemies, i wanted to drop shells on enemies near LZ, thinking that BTRs are not going to attack because of Command truck and UGVs parked at entrance. Panthers are going to finish those snakes. At least we managed to shatter Novikov's attack. He is sharp, although SGB still lost 2 infantry squads, KV-20 artillery battery and 1 SPAAG/transports platoon for 1 our SPG team. Tanks are shielding troops that are hacking Foxtrot server hub, while our own armor is concentrating at entrance in order to be prepared for next move by SGB commander. Outside of walls: Spoiler Now i'm going to counter-attack Arkadiy's forces. Best kind of defence. -1 tank, but Cheetahs are under fire and we need to get out. Also, SPG reinforcements and Kommandos to help us with Russian soldiers. Russian army troops are all over Bravo point, better to avoid it. Kamovs are trying to counter my attempt to pressure SGB troops outside of military base walls, Badgers should drive them out. Missile barrage managed to take out 1 vic, sadly. Cheetahs halped to push Kamovs away, but looks like Arkadiy is moving his troops to counter attack us. 2 AFV units and infantry squad are assaulting our troops, 1 Panther tank is lost. Fighting is sarting to heat up. EMP used to give a few moments for Panthers to change position. SPG's shells are reaching their target. Cheetahs jumped on heavily damaged vics and finished them with HOT missile barrage. BTRs are out of action, tanks and SPGs managed to damage infantry and tanks before they managed to recover. Infantry squad is broken, just tanks left. EMP strike was a good move. We managed to jump on Novikov's troops in a good moment, before he managed to concentrate them and properly launch his own armored push. Air full of metal: Spoiler Looks like SGB commander changed tactics - now he tries to stop Kommandos from advancing to Sierra with raid by 2 gunships teams. Cheetahs targeted damaged Kamovs, while jets were tasked with gun run on second team. 2nd team is now under fire of 2 units, they are as good as dead. Raiding group is out of action. Cheetahs scouting targets for artillery, they should not stay without work for too long, it will be a waste of their firepower. Tanks are going to clear Bravo point, so if needed we can use airspace above it and ground around it for troops movement. Slowly chipping away SGB presence on this battlefield before this fight will get to Defcon phase. SPGs finished Novikov's engineers, tanks are working on Russian army troops at B point. Bravo is no longer crawling with Recon teams and waves of Russian Army conscripts. Another group of Kamovs arrived to Delta position. And they are trying to do something about Kommandos at Sierra as well. Called EMP on them. Those things still managed to launch their missiles before being EMPed. Kamovs went away, near Zulu. Badgers are driving to intercept those choppers. Meanwhile Grenadiers are taking Yankee position. Opportunity for a microwave attack! Kamovs are running away, this tactic of Arkadiy is also failed. Melting asphalt: Spoiler Yankee is taken, Novikov dropped his WMD strike. Kommandos are capturing Alpha now. Our own WMD attack, right on top of SGB landing area. Alpha is in our hands. Heh, probably should have waited for a moment... Now i'm going full attack in order to beat some units before getting back to base and defend our EW dominance. EMP is called on those Ogres so we can defeat them. Novikov also reinforced Delta with Recon team. I nearly re-established my forces, we need a bit more time before everything is ready to retreat, back under walls protection. T-100s are defeated and looks like Novikov is bringing his own reinforcements. Panthers lost one more tank from T-100s fire. Badgers are still vigilant... ... and vengeful. Kommandos were positioned in trees just outside of walls near Alpha uplink, so we can have eyes on SGB landing area and see what Arkadiy is bringing to a fight. Trying to find an angle on those Shpetsnaz soldiers. Arkadiy had attack on Alpha in his plans, and i placed scouts just in his way, heh. Badgers are moving to support Kommandos, SPGs already opened fire. Our soldiers need to move away to avoid casualties. Artillery helped to press those Shpetsnaz operatives away, Kommandos are ok. Airstrike finished them. Let's try to keep ths momentum to shield troops near Alpha and Grenadier squad that is capturing Foxtrot. A lot of infantry is rushing towards Alpha point while a platoon of heavy armor is mobing on our left flank. Novikov tries to orginize counter assault and take uplinks ASAP. Tanks are moving towards entrance to Alpha, so we can hold Shpetsnaz human waves away from uplinks. Way too slow! Results: Spoiler That group of T-100s was under fire of SPGs while they were advancing. Recon team of Russian army that were near Delta. Good against choppers and some infantry in the open. 2nd platoon of Ogres that was advancing towards Whiskey entrance to base. Not too bad this time. LoooSeR
After SGB didn't managed to take Maxwell airforces base, they retreated, giving us region from which Shpetsnaz started their operation. Now they are coming back, they want this place back and we are in their way. Spoiler This is going to be a bit strange battle. We need to take over 50% of uplinks, and there are only 4 of them, 2 near each landing zone. This mean that battle can easily gone into race until we will run out of reserve units. Also, our good old opponent - Savilov, is back. Usual deployment. Map shows that each pair of uplinks is located inside of walled off compounds. Central area is going to be hot place, if i will not push troops there, Savilov will have a choice of 2-3 entrances to flank my troops near uplinks. Parking lot is good enough for fight: Spoiler Badgers and tanks are deployed, moving to central zone. Badgers already started to clear it. Microwave attack should drive them away. Kamovs decided to use their missile on regulars. 2nd tank platoon is entering battle. Badgers using a moment to destroy Kamovs. Badgers are moving away, BTRs are moving here. Tanks are pushing forward to deal with BTRs. Savilov now tries to use a moment to hit tanks with Kamovs, Badgers are still nearby to not allow him that. BTRs prioritize our APCs immediately, seeing them. BTRs are retreating, as well as Badgers. Kamvos also getting away after exchange of fire. T-100s are trying to flank our troops, Cheetahs are going to attack those damn things. Both platoons of MBTs are also engaging T-100s. Almost done! EMP attack... fuck, he managed to disable ALL my AFVs to give Ogres time to get out. Fyodor is becoming better, fucker. T-100s still didn't manage to get out, but now our own troops are under artillery fire. Things are heating up: Spoiler And here are those KV-20 assholes. Cheetahs are going to attack them in attempt to force to reposition and give some time for AFV to move away. Damn, Savilov put a lot of firepower here, Recon team and uplinks guard squad. Zhukovs are well defended from air threats. 1 gunship is down, CV is still under fire as Zhukovs didn't even flinch. We are retreating, as all troops are in range of KV-20 SPGs. Cheetahs are flying out of battlefield, they lost 2 gunships. Savilov is pressuring me out, engineers now popped out to fire at retreating Panthers. 2 units are pushing us with Zhukovs repositioning to provide support for futher advances of SGB troops. Tanks are also retreating, they lost 2 machines, although managed to defeat engineers. Transports arrived, they are covering infantry squad that is rushing towards house. We need to push as hard as we can, our troops are being under danger of total defeat - infantry can deal with Badgers, while SPGs can finish tanks. Tanks are out of action by SPGs, CV is rushing forward, firing laser at infantry that managed to get out of BTRs before we finished them. Airstrike is called on SPGs. Engineers defeated our APCs. We have only few units left - Grenadiers, CV and freshly deployed SPGs. Now CV is under fire of 3 units, it tries to retreat closer to SPGs. Back on tracks: Spoiler 1st SPG team entering this fight with MRLS strike. CV is providing eyes on enemies and blocking entrance. Savilov throwed a Recon team at us plus infantry squad. 2nd Marksman battery opened up. Command truck in under fire from Recon team vics and Zhukovs, it is in deep trouble. Infantry squad is defeated. Damn, Savilov managed to break it with KV-20 fire. In the same time CV gave me enough time to call reinforcements in form of APCs and tanks. Badgers and SPGs are attacking Russian army Recon team, we need to secure this place for our own SPGs. Done. Kamovs are moving towards us, Badgers need to push forward and not allow it to see where my SPGs are. Kamovs dropped their missile strike at Badger, taking out 1 vic. They are still pushing forward, doing recon in the same time. Seems like Zhukovs are undefended. This is a very good chance to deal with them. Running away didn't helped, but Badgers found limit of their push. Delta is crawling with Russian army personal, APCs need to get out of their LOS. Looks like we manage to wear down Savilov troops during our fight on parking lots and during CV retreat. Payback: Spoiler Now it is time for us to push. Fyodor use some of his resources on Recon teams, so he probably have less troops than we. Called EMP on Kamovs, but they already managed to fire their missiles against Badgers and switched to engage tanks. SPGs are working on infantry squad futher away. Kamovs are out of action, they didn't managed to damage tanks. Infantry squad is trying to run out of our artillery range. Not giving you this chance! Or we do give it... another team of gunships is flying towards us. I'm trying to lure him to tanks, as they have ability to eat gunship's missiles and still be combat capable. Savilov saw through my plans and used his missile barrage against damaged Badgers, taking them out of action. Flaying away? Cheetahs are chasing those .. misdoers. We too have this missile barrage ability! Heh, another group of Shpetsnaz operatives tries to sneak into forests. I probably overdone this... Countdown stopped, so Cheetahs scouted SGB landing area and see who is here - another team of soldiers that want to be stepped on by our very angry assault formation. Another unit showed up so Cheetahs are working on them, with SPG support. In the same moment Grenadiers are taking Bravo, i'm trying to cut some resources to Savilov. Finally! That was a operation where i was on the edge of losing. If Fyodor had better troop composition, he could defeat all troops that i had on the ground (especially when CV was retreating back to uplinks). Results: Spoiler Feels like if we get to victory, it will be by amount of regions under our control and not by taking 2 other capitals. Fighting against SGB troops in Washington D.C. could be fun. LoooSeR
We managed to secure Maxwell base from direct assault operations, but SGB is not over with their plans to take it. Now Shpetsnaz is launching a raid on Maxwell AirForces base in order to disable it and deprive airsupport for neareast regions under our control. We were tasked with defending critical buildings and structures of Maxwell base to break SGB plans and keep it operational. Map shows location of targeted buildings. Foxtrot is way out of main base body, it is a flight control tower near runway. I will leave it as it is, too far from our LZ and path to it is convoluted (nearest exit from compound to F is barricaded and i don't want to open it for enemies to use it to flank us). All this mean that Lima and Zulu are not likely to be hit by AFVs, as only 2 entrances are open for AFVs - Near Delta and 2nd one is not far from Whiskey. All troops will be concentrated nearby, will aim on entrance near Delta, as it is closest to SGB LZ. Our enemy is Kurochnik, he is rather aggressive and prefer to use gunships as CAS for assault groups. Spoiler We can deploy 2 units during begining of operation, while raiding troops can utilize a lot more from start. This mean we need to concetrate on activating uplinks and bringing reinforcements and avoid battle in early phase of this raid. Grenadiers will go for Sierra first, with APCs moved to blocking positions against possible Kamov gunships rush. Kurochnik can try to assault us early on, so i need to keep troops futher away from his units and leave Foxtrot as a distraction. Alexander already deployed at least 3-4 units - choppers, Ogres MBTs, Cockroach BTRs (their radars are visible on the right) and probably 1 or more infantry squads. All AFVs are moving towards Foxtrot flight control tower. Grenadiers are activating Sierra hub. Raiding each other: Spoiler Seeing how all AFVs went for Foxtrot i decided to smash Kamovs and take out Kurochnik's CAS. This should give us easier time with main assault on military base. Badgers were hit by missile salvo, but all vics survived. Running away? No units are visible nearby, except infantry squad on Bravo that is hacking it. Badgers have some time to finish Kamovs before this transport helicopter will drop it's cargo. Now Badgers need to get fuck out - team of Shpetsnaz soldiers is fast roping out of Locust and Tarantula delivered BTRs on top of that. BTRs managed to destroy 1 APC with missiles, Shpetsnaz operatives are trying to chase our 8x8 tin cans. Now Badgers are under fire from engineers on Bravo. BTRs blocked a road to rest of SGB troops, we have only 1 way to get out and not get into crossfire from both infantry units. 2nd vic was blown up, but not a bad price for postponing Kurochnik's attack and defeating his gunships. Badgers managed to break assault formation of Russians, BTRs started raid on main base, with minimal support. 2 Panther MBT platoons are going to chew them in seconds. In 17 seconds, to be precise. T-100s are moving in, Kamovs are rushing forward to support them. Using a very short window of opportunity to fire our missiles and then get ot, as BTRs and SGB gunships are very close. Now Cheetahs are going to try to lure Kamovs. Grenadiers are taking Alpha, it will be used as AA hardpoint where AFVs can find a cover from attack choppers if Badgers will be put out of action. Hello! Do you have a few seconds to eat our AA missiles? Kamovs lost 2 machine and now running away from battlefield, on the other hand we are becoming only stronger - 2nd team of Badgers is being delivered to insure that rest of forces will have mobile AA coverage if 1st team of Badger APCs will be destroyed. Meanwhile Alexander put into action all his units - BTRs dropped infantry squad and now this raiding group of Shpetsnaz troops is pushing forward. Panthers repositioned to fire their special rounds in salvo. 3rd platon of Panthers is on the way to this battlefield. Bravo uplink upgrade was dropped few moments after it was started, so enemy can't use any type of support (including EMPs), thats why i can easily go with very AFV heavy troop composition and concetrate them so brazenly. Also, this mean Kurochnik used ALL hits troops to push forward. 2 infantry squads and 2 AFVs platoons, plus damaged team of gunships, 5 units in total (and one that Badgers managed to fuck up in our counter-raid). It doesn't look like Alexander have other units on the ground, it is perfect moment to smash all SGB forces on this battlefield. Panthers are focused on BTRs, destroying them will allow Cheetahs to work on T-100s. Delta suffered serious damage, if it will be ruined, we will have only 1 target left before SGB will reach their objective. BTRs are out, Panthers now working on T-100s, using a moment that they are concentrated on building. Badgers managed to kick Kamovs away without getting destroyed. A lot of Shpetsnaz soldiers are rushing forward, but as BTRs are out and Ogres being near defeat, they will be rather easy target to deal. Heh, looks like Alexander brought 1 or 2 more infantry squads to this meatgrinder. Their marksmans managed to kill some of Grenadiers that were moved in cover behind tanks to provide AA covereage for them. Panthers are moving away from them to fire a barrage of HEs. 3rd unit of MBTs joined this firefight. Those guys are in deepest pile of shit they ever faced. Done! Results are rather obvious, didn't made a screeshot of it.
LoooSeR
Now we are going to fight for this mountain pass with SGB, to secure a path to Ft.Campbell. Spoiler Familiar layout, known enemy. Advancing to central zone and fighting with SGB troops there will be my excellent deeply planned tactic. We can deploy 4 units in first wave, so SPGs are called to help to clear central zone from Russian human waves. First exchanges: Spoiler SPGs already working on Russian army forces. Savilov dropped Wolfes on Bravo, BTRs are moving to central zone. Another squad is finished. BTRs are moving somewhere else now. Kamovs jumped into action. Cheetahs are going to deal with them. Kamovs going back, they are not really commited to fight. Zhukovs are deployingtheir cannons, now we need to work on them. Now all Fyodor's troops are now visible for us. He is preparing attack on us with massive assault formation. I need to brake it, we will begin with artillery barrages, when they will be in range. Breaking assaulting force: Spoiler BTRs are pushing from Northern part of Zulu plato, they are going to be hit first. Savilov is attacking with all troops in a single line. Damn, we need to shatter this formation. SPGs are going to suppress BTRs and allow Cheetahs to engage tanks. T-100s are pushing, but Cheetahs managed to destroy one of their machines. Infantry squad is rushing towards Zulu, we need to deny Zulu point for Fyodor. Cheetahs almost done with tanks, forcing them to retreat, while our Panthers now have easier time to attack infantry unit next to Zulu. Now we are concentrated on infantry unit, we need to keep them away of Zulu. Ogres are broken to pieces, now our own MBTs are pushing forward to destroy SPGs. Savilov went with 2 artillery teams this time, we need to shut those things down and quick. EMP called to disable this pile of AFVs. Now we are talking. Savilov brought Recon team on Bravo to defend it. By good target prioritisation we managed to push BTRs away, that allowed to use gunships against not fully-loaded Ogres, and this allowed to use Panthers against everything else. If Savilov had move BTRs during this attack and more tanks instead of infantry, he could conduct serious breakthrough. Badgers finished Kamovs, allowing Panthers to continue push. BTRs destroyed, Zhukovs now our target. EMP managed to held them in place for lond enough. We managed to break this assault formations with minimal loses. Exploiting his weakness: Spoiler Now things are going to be smoother - we need to smack Shpetsnaz reinforcements and end this battle. Grenadiers will take Sierra, but will not capture Zulu to avoid WMD strike as long as we can. Fyodor still have 3 units on the ground - 2 infantry squads and this team of Kamovs. If i will be wise enough, Savilov will not manage to make a come back. Tanks are firing a salvo of rounds against infantry. And now they are retreating. Good, although a team of Shpetsnaz saboteurs managed to sneak into a village near my SPGs, those guys are my main problem now. Gunships are going to suppress enemies here, giving time for SPGs to engage them. Panthers lost 1 vic to missile barrage of SGB attack helicopters. But it doesn't really matter, i'm still on top of this. Wolfes are out of action, can concentrate on main frontline. Panthers finished Recon team of Russian Army, so there are no ground troops to obstruct our advance. Badgers chasing those helicopters to SGB LZ, rest of forces are moving behind them. This is going to be a LZ massacre. EMP to hold Kamovs in place, so Fyodor can't retreat them out of battlefield and get resources back that were spent to call them in. And tanks finished infantry squad. Looks like it is over. ... or not. Another wave of cannon fodder. NOW it is done. Results: Spoiler Enforcer corps managed to advance to Ft. Campbell. Just 4 regions left to take before final victory.
LoooSeR
We continue our advance in USA against Russians. We are moving deeper into SGB territory and resistance to our incursion is increasing. Both sides of this mission will have full support of regular army and Air forces. Spoiler Our old enemy Novikov is leading Shpetsnaz troops into battle against Enforcer corps forces. We need to take 4 uplinks to gain EW dominance and if we will hold it for 5 minutes we will win or we can destroy enemy troops instead. I'm going with usual first wave deployment, but Novikov is adaptable leader, so rest of troops will be brought according to situation. As usual i will try to tie enemies in big fist fight near Sierra, to avoid situation when Arkadiy's troops will be running and driving on my both flanks in numbers, trying to bully forces that i will be forced to spread out. First clashes: Spoiler Badgers arrived to central zone and started to clear it before meeting our opponents. SPGs are also helping to do it faster, so we gain space to move around without being shot from 7 different directions. Now Badgers are using moment to pressure SGB helicopters away from Sierra. Cheetahs are using clear skies near Sierra to futher clean future battlespace. Done! During clearing this area, Novikov's KV-20s were spotted. He wanted to destroy European Army infantry, but he probably didn't expected my aggressive actions. We can use this moment to futher improve our chances! Badgers are shielding Cheetahs gunship from Shpetsnaz copters. Badgers are done with Kamovs. And our attack choppers accomplished their objective. Main forces are arriving. This was rather successfull early thrust, 2 units are down, including artillery. Meat Grinder is on! Spoiler Right flank base entrance vomited BTRs at us, they are rushing towards Foxtrot uplink. My own infantry will not get into good firing position to stop them, we need to counter this aggressive move with something else. For example - with MRLS strike. Second one. Kamovs are jumping in but they got too close to Badgers. Microwave weapon is now used against Kamovs gunships to destroy them faster. Cheetahs added their missiles to this attack, Kamovs already managed to damage one of SPGs. BTRs changed their mind and now are pushing right to central zone, in attempt to chase our helicopters. Command truck and APCs are dealing with heavily damaged Cockroach SPAAGs, with Marksmans support. Done. Panthers are moving to Sierra point to support main troops, while Grenadiers are approaching Zulu point, they are used to take this point as they can deploy UGVs to defend them and Zulu/Delta flank is futher away from troops near Sierra than Foxtrot so Grenadiers have less support from them. Second platoon of BTRs attack us from left side. Now BTRs are firing at our APCs, Cheetahs can't get into action and Panthers are still too far to engage them. APCs need to move away. BTRs changed their mind - they are targeting SPGs. I didn't moved them to use their firepower output to maximum, but now they need to get out. Badgers are trying to shield SPGs from BTR's autocannons. APCs dropped infantry unit, while Marksmans lost 1 SPG from BTR's autocannons. Cheetahs tried to take some of firepower output of BTRs, Novikov used this moment to use EMP on us. Gunships are not disabled and can't move away from fire in time. Badgers are trying to destroy BTRs, but those transports are too armored to finish them quickly. Cheetahs lost 2 machines during EMP strike. And now they are out of action. We managed to defeat BTRs, but Novikov used this time to pull more AFV unit here. Arkadiy moved T-100s, infantry and BTRs to conduct assault on my troops near Sierra. Meat Grinder is on full power! Spoiler Tanks are engaging our APCs with CV trying to protect them from BTRs. Our defences are on the edge. Badgers lost 2 vics, but Panthers are now here. APCs are destroyed by Ogres, i'm pushing Command truck to attack T-100s in close range, with sword if needed. New gunships are now in range to fire at Ogres. THose tanks also managed to put SPGs out of action as well. Second BTR formation was destroyed by our own MBTs. Kommandos are at Foxtrot, they catched Shpetsnaz operatives that tried to move to Foxtrot uplink. Now snipers are firing at them. Now they are in range of assault rifles fire. Novikov now tries to keep pressure on us by seonding Recon teams. Panthers have enough firepower to finish those. Team of Shpetsnaz soldiers, that tried to attack Foxtrot backed off to civilian houses, trying to find another way into uplink. Cheetahs and artillery will deal with them now. MRLS strike in progress. Shpetsnaz snipers managed to kill several Kommandos, we must smash them faster and thats why MRLS attack was used. Infantry is done, now Arkadiy is trying to recon areas near Sierra to see where to attack. Missile barrage damaged tanks. He will probably drop a WMD on us, thats why i'm trying to move units closer to gunships. Fuck, didn't worked so well. Asshole took out 5 units with single shot.... Our WMD strike against arriving reinforcements. Not sure how many were took out. This shit is still on full throttle! Spoiler SGB after our WMD strike started to bring their main reinforcements. This team of engineers us rushing towards Sierra, that is largerly undefended. My own reinforcements are still near landing area. Grenadiers captured Delta and my plan is to deprive Novikov from resources, as in direct fight our capabilities are not very different. Kommandos will get to Alpha and grab it from Shpetsnaz troops. Snipers are working on Russian conscripts that were defending military base exit near Alpha position. Badgers are first to arive to Sierra ad they already working on Kamovs nearby. One of our helicopter teams is retreating out of battlefield after suffering loses. At this point i manage to recover from WMD strike, but i have only 5 units in reserve and most of troops on the ground are not experienced. Now tanks should have easier time fighting here. 2nd team of APCs arrived and we found a squad of Shpetsnaz soldiers and BTR unit that probably dropped them at some distance before entering area near Sierra. Tanks will deal with that uplink capturing formation of Novikov troops. He thought that Sierra was clear as Kamovs saw nothing, other than my APCs. Artillery shells starting to drop on infantry in attempt to deny S to Arkadiy. His troops are very close to taking it. But SPGs put them down. Now time for BTRs. Damn, Cheetahs went too close to engineers during their scouting move. Those god damn AA flamethrowers! Arkadiy assembled another assault group to attack us near SIerra. My Kommandos cleared entrance from Russian army soldiers and waited until i will see what SGB is planning to do, now they are going straight to Alpha in attempt to distract some of Russian troops. Kamovs are using a moment to finish off my gunships. Central area is heating up, again. Badgers are driving through piles of destroyed AFVs in roder to get to Kamovs, heh. I moved Grenadiers in this warehouse to put some pressure on enemy forces moving to Delta or Zulu uplinks and somebody managed to get caught. Badgers massive missile attack paid off, Panthers and SPGs can now work on T-100s. EMP is called in, as those things are going to easily stomp on unexperienced platoons of tanks and APCs. Badgers are out of LOS of tanks, while rest of troops are now actively destroying disabled heavily armored warmachines. Grenadiers continue to hold their position, enemy engineers can't find a good angle on them, it appears. 2nd platoon of tanks is moving in, with all sorts of support. Gunships, BTRs, tanks - only AFVs are now in action against my troops at Sierra. This is going to be a bloody battle. Promoted to Slaughter ground: Spoiler Alpha is in our hands and now enemies have 5 minutes to do something. Battle for Sierra hub begins, and i called EMP to at least hold BTRs and Ogres for a moment. First platoon of oGres is out of action, but 3rd one is entering this parking lot. Tanks are engaging BTRs to clear skies for gunships, and becuase Panthers can delete those vics from battlefield much faster than Ogres. This is critical mass of troops Novikov pushed here, he fucking understands what is going on. Now 2 units of MBTs, 1 group of APC/SPAAGs and infantry team are fighting against our forces here, with Kamovs flying in to support them. Even small error can turn results of this fight in SGB favor. T-100s firing their flamethrowers against my CV on right flank of this parking lot, it is acting as distraction for Ogres. SPGs shells started to connect with enemies. Another EMP strike called to help us. BTRs are finished, Panthers now need to move away and leave Ogres to artillery. Kamovs dropped their missile barrage, taking out 2 tanks (1 in each platoon). Infantry jumped into neareast building, our armor need to get away from them as well. One platoon of MBTs is out of this fight. Kamovs are trying to get 2nd destroyed as well, we need to push Badgers somewhere to push SGB air support away, which means pushing into areas in LOS of T-100s. Kamovs are retreating, time to move out tin cans back into cover. 2nd group of Russian armored mosnters is destroyed, but 3rd one is still active. SPGs now are throwing HE rounds at infantry right in the moment when they exited structure to change pos. Now Cheetahs have free ticket to fuck up Ogres. Grenadiers near Delta are holding their ground against Kamovs gunships. Run, baby, run! 4th (!) tank unit that Novikov tried to move to attack us. Too late, we broke a spine of the main assault group! At this point Arkadiy is saving his troops. This is a victory. At this point my heart was going crazy. Results of this well planned "operation": Spoiler "C"?! Never had a C for a victory, let's check details Fuck, this was close battle. Novikov's battalion was very hard to crack. This is bad development, this should be taken into account during next missions against Arkadiy Novikov.
LoooSeR
After our previous.. ummm.. kind of victory European Federation troops advanced to Grissom AB North of Ft. Cambell. SGB managed to put a heavy fight before this mission, we can count on another serious combat, now in Grissom Airforces base. Kurochnik is back as acting as my opponent. His aggressvines coupled with worse terrain on out part of this base will be rather bad combination. My plan is to go for more infantry and AA heavy loadout, as big number of buildings inside of base suggest possible higher number of hostile foot soldiers. Convoluted terrain to move around inside of base (because of barricades) dictates use of artillery and gunships to deliver firepower in timely manner. Spoiler Nearly usual deployment, with Kommandos for anti-infantry and limited AA role. tactical map shows difference in terrain between main body of base and runway area. Inisde of base number of roads are blocked and in order to move around vehicles will need to go around big square-shaped compounds, which may expose them for gunship harassment. SGB have a lot of space to move around, especially on our right flank. We will go from D to A and F, then take other uplinks after shattering main SGB troops. Kamovs and Russian army personal, as usual, are first to be located. Battle begins: Spoiler And we begin with missile barrage. Ogres are on the ground already. Gunships continue to shooter at each other. Now we are busy with infantry units. One of entrances to this base. Airstrike on T-100s, just to remind them about us. Badgers are working as shielding for troops that are moving to Alpha to grab it and deploy UGVs to defend it, turnng it into hardened position. Cheetahs are chasing Kamovs away, spotted infantry moving from Zulu to Lima (probably). T-100s are pushing to nearby gated entry. Kurochnik started his assault. Alexander used EMP to disable 3 units in one hit to support his assault. I'm not very worried as SGB troops need to get through a labyrinth. Badgers are running around to scare away Kamovs. Cheetahs recovered from EMP, now missile strike is dropped on Ogres to push them away from base entrance. APCs continue to hunt for gunships. Alexander went with flanking move, i need to adjust tactics and pressure flanking troops of opposing Shpetsnaz battalion. Kamovs are finally out of battle. Cheetahs are going for Ogres, while Badgers are harassing infantry unit near Lima. First exchanges are over, Russians now are advancing to Lima and fighting is going to become more serious. F;anking is fun! Spoiler Shpetnaz troops are taking Foxtrot, we need to push and dislodge them from F uplink. SPG was deployed to support us in defensive fight that i'm trying to conduct (to use terrain better). Another EMP used, but main troops that are assaulting Foxtrot are infantry. Kommandos are picking engineers near Foxtrot. Taking F should allow us to secure one of entrances to Grissom base. Badgers continue to keep eyes on entrance to base. Cheetahs are now trying to pressure troops that are flanking us. Feels like Kurochnnik is outmaneuvering me. Another T-100 platoon is approaching, Alexander probably will assemble an assault formation. 2nd SPG is coming to hit troops that are going to flank on us. Kommandos are now taking Foxtrot, Grenadiers will secure entrance near Foxtrot. SGB engineers near Lima are defeated, but 2 more units are pushing on our flanks. Tanks are pushing Foxtrot now, SPGs and Cheetahs will try to defeat them. But those Ogres are now fully-loaded, they have AA HMG. SGB took Sierra and now enemies have EW dominance. Wll crash one of his uplink to establish EW balance. Cheetahs are atacking Ogres to force them away from Foxtrot. A lot of troops being deployed now. Big ass assault is coming. On the edge of defeat: Spoiler Cheetahs are running away from this huge ass pile of SGB troops, leaving shot down machines behind them. Badgers also lost a vic from RPGs of Shpetsnaz soldiers. And 2nd APC is lost... We will be pressured from 2 fronts, i expect. Panthers are called in to support us in this fight. Shpetsnaz operatives managed to knock out Badger, assholes. Kommandos were moved to deal with those assholes. CV is working as a distraction and roadblock. Cheetahs were tasked to get out of this fght, they are on edge of being destroyed as their parts are holding on adhesive tape. Another airstrike on tanks, to keep them away as long as we can. Kurochnik's infantry advanced to Bravo and nearly captured it. Now we are in trouble - we need to take at least 1 uplink to establish balance and 1 more to start victory countdown. EMP was used by Alexander against Badgers to give time to Kamovs to move away. Kommandos are covering movement of Grenadiers towards Lima uplink. Kommandos will try to take Lima so partially cut Bravo from possible reinforcements when i will try to take it. In the same time Grenadiers are moving to nearby buildings to work as AA cover. Looks like Kurochnik brought SPGs as well. Situation is not good, but at least Kurochnik still isn't pushing us with full power of his troops. Kommandos are walkings through defeated engineers and now deal with guards of Lima server hub. Damn, Kommandos are caught by BTRs. NOW SGB onslaught started. 2 AFV units breached Foxtrot, 2 Kamovs team are moving to central zone and now Kommandos are going killed by BTR autocannons. Now we have serious problems. Kommandos didn't managed to get out in time, they are defeated. We are entering this phase of mission low on anti-infantry and AA troops. We are bing pressured from 4 directions - Foxtrot, area between F and L, Lima entrance and B-D entrance. Because Grenadiers were busy with combat, we didn't managed to put mines around. ... no longer on the edge. Spoiler CV is trying to keep attackers at distance, but it is pushed by 2 units. BTRs with support of infantry and SPGs managed to fuck up CV. Our defence is crumbling. Zhukov SPGs now joined this attack, this is terrible. BTRs breaching through Lima entrance to our base, with Badgers being under artillery strikes. Grenadiers are trashing BTRs, at least. BTRs are destroyed, but infantry managed to get out. 2nd platoon of Panthers is way to far from battlefield, at this point we have 3 minutes and no infantry on the ground. Even if we will manage to bring infantry, they will not have APC to haul them to neareast uplink, as Badgers are now overrun. Alexander and I decided to use WMDs, this fight looks like is lost for us. Heh, just 1 unit left on the ground... Things are rather obvious now as 2 teams of vultures arrived to juice ground vics... LoooSeR
After my defeat at Grissom AB, Shpetsnaz managed to drive us back to Ft Cambell. I'm very angry about that, i want a rematch! Familiar place, but different opponent - Georgiy Sokolov. Didn't saw him for some time. Previous operation in this military base shown that we should try to destroy enemies before entering Defcon phase in order to get out of this fight with minimal loses. My plan is in general similar as before - getting to Sierra and starting big ass slap fight in central area of this map, but this time i will be way more aggressive in early phase so enemies will not have much resources to bring reinforcements. Spoiler This time CV was changed for Panther MBTs, because we are going early aggressive push. Unexperienced team of Grenadiers was called specifically to get some trigger time and be better prepared for 2nd battle for Grissom AB. 2 groups of artillery guns also should provide us with significant firepower. Although this mean we will be slow to capture territory, as only infantry can capture uplinks, and all this mean that Sokolov can get ahead of us if he survive our early onslaught. We begin to execute my rather risky plan. Assault, part 1: Spoiler Badgers caught Kamovs on our way in. Panthers are working on Russian army infantry near Sierra. Georgiy's infantry is rushing to Sierra, we need to destroy them as well. Lima is in our hands, more troops are called in to reinforce us. Get fucked! 2nd team of SGB gunships is flying towards assault troops. Panthers were hit with missile barrage and same missiles killed remains of Russian army infantry unit that Panthers were going through. This is rather desperate action, especially seeing how Kamovs ignored our APCs and went straight for MBTs. Georgiy understood what i'm trying to do, this attack is going to be way harder to execute than expected. APCs are trying to shot down Kamovs, our own gunships are coming to help here. EMP disabled tanks and APCs, so Kamovs crushed our tanks, but they are now target for our Cheetahs. Sokolov brought Zhukovs here as well, but 3rd team of attack choppers is protecting them. Badgers are under fire, i'm going to push forward with them, we need to be aggressive. APCs now pushing Shpetsnaz birds away, our own SPGs are in range to drop their shells on KV-20s. Very close range MRLS support, hehe. We need to keep this pressure on! Another EMP strike, now against my artillery support. Sokolov is desperate - he uses a lot of his resources to stop our attack. Engineers from Bravo were pushed forward to counter-attack us. We managed to move away a bit, but another EMP disabled ALL our vehicles. I bet Georgiy now have second to none CPs to call additional troops or use another special attack. That is very desperate action - heavily damaged tean that lost 2 machines is pressed to attack our SHORAD vics. They are are as good as dead. Kamovs are finished, engineers are trying to push forward and looks like hostile AFV unit is moving in as well. Focusing all our firepower on those guys to destroy them fast. Done. Second team of AFVs is lurking near Foxtrot/Alpha uplinks, but during operation i didn't saw them, was concentrated here. Assault, part 2: Spoiler BTRs are attacking our own APCs, they started their push with AA missile spam on our gunships, thats why 1 chopper was shot down. SPGs are located right behind Badgers, so not much place to retreat. Cheetahs are trying to distract BTRs at least for a moment, to give SPGs and Badgers more time to engage Cockroaches and force them to go back. We managed to force them out of this parking lot. Cheetahs are keeping eyes on BTRs so SPG can engae them as long as we can, but yet another group of helicopters is incoming. Badgers are engaging Kamovs, to force them away from our SPGs. Grenadiers were caught in the open by BTRs that earlier driven near Foxtrot to scout sitaution around it and went back to area near Alpha. They saw my grou of infantry moving to Alpha and decided to burst out of military base entrance and engage them. Grenadiers didn't managed to get away, at least artillery now is working on them with Cheetahs support. Flanking attack was defeated, although we no longer have anybody on our right flank. My plan is holding on a thin premises, heh. Badgers continue to bit shit out of Kamovs every time they are trying to sneak to other units near Sierra. 2nd team of Panthers arrived, and just in time - BTRs are here, again. Sokolov's choppers are still trying to find a way in, but Badgers are chasing them. Close range salvo finished BTR-112s. Not much else is visible on the ground so far. Cheetahs are trying to chase Kamovs, we are trying to deny Georgiy a resources that he will get back if those helicopters will retreat and get out of battlefield. Cheetahs are under fire and Kamovs also dicided to fight back. Somebody else is near, and seeing no AFVs means that this is infantry that fire at us and support their gunships. Cheetahs were shot down and now Kamovs are firing missile at Panthers, with infantry near us trying to close in. We can deal with them, SPGs and APCs should be enough Badgers are trying to cover Panthers, as they lost 1 vic from determined leftovers of gunship squad. Airstrike is called on those choppers to destroy them ASAP. Rahter accurate MRLS strike. Done! Ops, SPGs killed defeated infantry squad leftovers. Results: Spoiler 4 KIA (2 after Grissom AB battle), 1 battle lost so far.
LoooSeR
And we are back to Grissom AB. We have air and Army support in this mission. Spoiler Kurochnik, again. After he trashed me in previous attempt to secure Grissom base i decided to change tactics. First time SGB managed to take more uplinks and faster than we, plus one of captured points later was used as staging area for a flanking attack - position Bravo. My plan is still revolves around using build up area of military base as a stronghold against Shpetsnaz assault. Kommandos are better at capturing uplinks, while Grenadiers can upgrade them faster. I'm planing to use them in tandem - Kommandos will get to server building first, clear area around and capture it, then they will move for the next one while Grenadiers will upgrade and drop UGV on already taken uplink. This should increase speed of territory expansion and allow for better security of each infantry squad as it will be covered by another one. Kommandos almost done with taking Delta, while SGB only started to hack Zulu. Grenadiers are waiting for Kommandos to be done. Kurochnik is aggressive and went straight for Foxtrot uplink. That may be a problem in later part of this mission. First contacts: Spoiler SGB gunships and our own are clearing area near base entrance near Lima point. Meanwhile Grenadiers are rushing to Bravo to take it and secure it with UGVs. Now Kamovs are going to be our target. Missile barrage connected with Kamovs, but only managed to damage one of gunships. Alexander deployed at least 3 infantry units, one is on Foxtrot, second one took W and last one iss upgrading Z. Badgers arrived to attack Kamovs, shielding Kommandos that are capturing Alpha building. Kamov's missile barrage also managed to only damage one of APCs. SGB operatives that were hacking Foxtrot dropped their work and now are going to do something else. Not too bad for us, give me some time to grab more territory. Cheetahs are chasing Kamovs, scouting SGB LZ in the same time. Zhukov SPGs, 2nd BTR-112 team, platoon of T-100s and Wolfes running out of Zulu are visible here. Those are Alexander's main troops that we need to break in order to have a chance to win. Now real action starts: Spoiler EMP strike disabled SPGs and Panthers MBTs. Sign of an attack attempt by SGB troops. Badgers acted as blocking unit to those BTRs, giving time for tanks and artillery guns to recover from EMP, now Marksmans are dropping HEs on those SPAAGs. Our own transports lost 1 vic and 2nd one is damaged, but it is combat capable. Another EMP, not it was targeted on Badgers, gunships and battle tanks. Badgers lost 2nd vic from Zhukov's fire. Kurochnik tries to soften up our defences before breaching our part of military base. Our own SPGs were tasked with shelling enemy artillery pieces, as other troops can't attack them directly. 3rd (!) EMP, it was mainly aimed against my gunships. Alexander probably saw their movement towards Zhukovs and decided to stop this raid. BTRs are using this moment to fire at Cheetahs. That is bad, we will not get out of this without casualties. I'm using a gun run against KV-20s, as there is no other way to finish them faster. Gunships recovered from effect of EMP, i immediately ordered them to run. 1 of choppers was shot down. Zhukovs are still alive, while 2nd team of Cheetahs is not 2 helicopters down. Fresh team of Russian attack helicopters is moving towards our troops and BTRs are bursting through Lima entrance. SGB launched an assault against our troops inside of Grissom air force base. Shpetsnaz' unstoppable onslaught: Spoiler BTRs killed remaining gunships of 2nd team of Cheetahs and now are pushing inside, right next to our tanks. Panthers were attacked by Kamovs before Badgers managed to scare them way, combined attack of BTRs and attack choppers cost us 2 tanks. In the same time Kurochnik's infantry managed to grab Lima and Yankee, i was forced to crash Zulu in order to postpone establishment of Russian EW dominance. More Kamovs are flying towards Enforcer corps troops. Sierra is now under SGB control, we have less than 5 minutes to capture at least 1 uplink. We managed to defeat BTRs that pushed through Lima entrance. Cheetahs were tasked with clearing Foxtrot, as bulk of Shpetsnaz troops was in other sectors. Kamovs managed to defeat our heavy armor in the same time. Badgers are trying to keep those vultures in check, but Alexander brought at least 3 teams of those things. T-100s are near Lima, probably looking for a good entry point. Situation is getting out of control. Moved APCs close, so we can use our Microwave weapon against Kamovs. 2nd unit of SHORAD vis was called in to help us cope with waves of attack choppers. Heavily damaged unit of BTRs during first clashes is trying to flank my troops located near Alpha position. Alexander is again going for multiply direction assault. Kamovs went straight for SPGs, that were working on leftovers of flanking Cockroach unit. SGB definitely is very committed to steamroll us! Grenadiers were retreating from Bravo, but were found by assault formation. Shpetsnaz operatives with support of T-100s is slaughtering them, using all weapons including flamethrowers. Grenadiers have no chances. Cheetahs are tryng to at least force Kamovs to retreat, but those guys are stubborn as fuck. Marksmans launched MRLS strike against SGB flanking group. 1 SPG battery is out of action, Grenadiers are also were smashed into pieces, 2 BTRs are almost on Alpha uplink. Alexander managed to envelope almost completely all troops near Alpha uplink. That is a lot of Kamovs... BTRs near Alpha were finished by Marksman's HE shells, but Alexander is not stopping his attack. In the same time Bravo is now beng hacked by Shpetsnaz operatives that managed to destroy all UGVs that were defending uplink. 2nd team of Badgers arrived and now engagin waves of Kamovs. I called more APCs and tanks to do something with this onslaught. We lost another unit of gunships, my troops are getting short on numbers. Damn, those BTRs managed to drop infantry squad before being turning into coffins. SPGs are under fire and we have no way to get out in time, as roads here are convoluted. Duo of Badgers is trying to defend SPGs from infantry squad that is rushing towards Alpha server hub. EMP strike, it managed to disable ALL vehicles on here, and only Kommandos that found good cover in a building near Alpha, are not affected. They are fighting with very aggressive Shpetsnaz operatives, who are rushing towards position A. Kommandos managed to defeat Alexander's infantry, but rest of troops in serious trouble. BTRs are charging our position, same with Kamovs as they feel a smell of blood from a wounded units of SHORAD. SPGs and APCs are under concentrated fire, we have no places to retreat... 3 units are out of action - both AA APCs and SPGs. At this point situation is obvious - 2 minutes is not enough to get out of this whole crap. I can try to drop WMD on this huge pile of SGB troops to secure Kommandos and at least give them a chance to rush to Foxtrot. Space laser attack is coming, motherfuckers! At least 3 or 4 units were hit by our WMD attack! Kamovs are rushing now towards Delta, as freshly deployed troops are just started to move out of landing area. Badgers already launching their missile against Russian helicopters. Kamovs are moving back, Alexander is dropping his own WMD on our forces. ... i'm still not done. Kommandos are rushing towards Foxtrot. EMP was used to catch 2nd team of gunships. 2nd team of Cheetahs was rather expertly shot down, but i brought 3rd one as well. We have no time left, and even if F uplink will be taken, Kurochnik's troops managed to secure vast majority of uplinks anyway. Kommandos are on Foxtrot, SGB is now conducting attack on our LZ. Results: Spoiler In this operation i lost 4 (!) units as KIA. Definitely going to replay this match, as this is about as much KIA as in previous 17 battles combined! I have no idea how hard futher missions would be without good experienced and upgraded troops...
