Terror Attacks and Active Shooter Events Thread

Recommended Posts

As I'm reading through this thread, I'm envisioning some feminist who had come across a monkey's paw years ago. The wishes have been granted, and the fingers have curled in.

The other issue is that anyone who legitimately points out issues that males are facing are labeled as MRAs and derided for even entertaining those ideas, even if they are a female. To a certain degree, I feel that 3rd wave feminism has contributed to this problem of mass shootings.

Apparently there was a attempted mass shooting in Bærum, Norway.

A guy armed with a shotgun and a pistol, plus some other guns shot up a Mosque, but luckily failed to kill anyone, and was subdued by a 75 year old man.

He is now charged with attempted murder of three people.

He was a ethnically white Norwegian man in his early 20s. He has no previous notable crime record and lives in the same area as the Mosque.
He wore a NATO sweater (Norwegian army sweater) and a bullet proof vest.
The media really wanted to hammer in the fact that he was ethnically Norwegian and white.

Of course; no one died, but that won’t stop almost every media in the world from spouting on how a “white nationalist” shot up a mosque for a month, but the hundreds that died in Sri Lanka to Islamic extremists went silent within a week...

Somebody in German was very lucky

Quote

In Germany, a man’s body with a suicide belt was recovered from the Elbe River.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. Police report signs: height of about 190 cm, dark hair, dressed in a sleeveless shirt with the inscription "HEAD". The body was found on the beach in the town of Abbenflet (Lower Saxony).

“The autopsy showed that the man died from the explosion, and the shock wave could throw him into the water,” writes Bild.de.

It was also established that the deceased did not live in Abbenflet. Interviewed eyewitnesses reported that they saw an explosion and smoke near the river, but thought it was struck by lightning.

MOSCOW, Aug 29 - RIA News. The FSB prevented attacks in Kabardino-Balkaria, the press service of the department said.
The security forces conducted searching activities in the forest near the villages of Chernaya Rechka and Altud in the Urvan region of the republic and found a cache with two improvised explosive devices of high power.
Carrying bombs out of place was too dangerous, so they were defused on the spot, specified in the release.

After that, it was possible to find and detain the person who made them. It turned out to be a local resident, already convicted of terrorism. The man admitted that he was preparing "acts of sabotage and terrorist attacks on objects of law enforcement agencies and state structures."

Whether he is associated with any organization or acted alone is not specified.

At the end of July, First Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Buksman said that the practice of preventing terrorist attacks is stable - almost 20 cases since the beginning of the year.

The last major operation was July 31 in Tatarstan. Law enforcement officers detained two supporters of the Islamic State, they seized explosives and components of improvised devices from them.

On September 1, 2004, during a celebration of a start of schoolyear at a school in the city of Beslan, a group of 32 militants took more than 1,100 people hostages, among whom were small children, schoolchildren and their parents, school workers. The militants were armed with AKs with GPs, several PKM, PKT, RPK and RPG-7/18 grenade launchers.

All passages were barricaded, IEDs based on MON-90 were installed in the gym, as well as on the basis of OZM-72 mines.

Terrorists had plans of school, before attack some of them and several of their informers gathered intel on internal layout of school. During the attack several terrorist were in the crowd before main group arrived.

School was chosen based on terrorist ability to defend it. Large open field around school for observation and fire, thick walls, complicated internal layout, tall building allowed for better angles of fire.

Children and adults were taken to the gym. Male teacher executed in front of the hostages. Bombs were planted around main group of hostages inside of the gym section of school. Adult males and older boys were "conscripted" to be placed in book cases, desks, etc. in front of doors and windows.

Men and older boys were executed after setting barricades. Victims were thrown out a second story window to intimidate local police.  All of this prevented the chance of revolt among those in the gym.

Hostages were deprived of food and water. They were forced to drink urine out of shoes and to eat the flowers they had brought to celebrate

   Sept 1.

Already at 10:30 an operational headquarters was formed in the school district. Director of the FSB Nikolai Patrushev gave orders to the FSB units to fly to the place of capture, almost an hour after the capture, the first group of FSB special forces arrived in Beslan, later officers from Moscow, Khankala and Essentuki arrived.

In the period from 16:00 to 16:30 one of the suicide bombers blew up on her own IED, the hostages who were near the explosion were later shot (21 people).

By the end of the first day, doctor Leonid Roshal arrived at the school for negotiations, but the militants refused to negotiate with him, as well as take food and water for the hostages.

   Sept 2nd

In the morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a television appeal to the nation.

At a meeting of the UN Security Council, the terrorist attack in Beslan was condemned. Participants demanded the release of the hostages. The militants were offered money, and promised to organize a corridor for a safe retreat. They refused.

At 16:00, the president of Ingushetia, Ruslan Aushev, entered the school, the only negotiator face to face with the militants. The result was that militants released 26 people (women with babies). But the militants refused to take water and food for the hostages, which the head of the republic requested. As survivors later recalled, by that time the children were trying to eat the flowers they brought on September 1 and were drinking water from the garbage cans. Then the terrorists banned it, offering them to drink their own urine.

   Sept 3rd

On the night of September 3, several shots were fired from the school’s side, and a policeman was wounded.
In the afternoon, members of the operational headquarters were able to agree to remove the bodies of the hostages who were killed the day before. By agreement with the militants, a car with open sides had to drive up to the school building to pick up the bodies of the dead. But when the four rescuers began to remove the bodies, the militants opened fire on them. There was an explosion of IED militants mounted on a basketball ring. Terrorists opened fire on rescuers. Dmitry Kormilin died on the spot, and later Valery Zamarav died of his wounds.
At 13:05 in the area of the school two powerful explosions thundered. At 13:19 a third explosion was heard.
At 13:30 a part of the roof collapsed in the school gym, under the wreckage of which many hostages died. Through the opening in the wall and windows, people began to run out. Hostages began to scatter from the school building after the explosions, and fire from machine guns was opened at them, which killed another 29 people.

Almost immediately, the TsSN FSB groups were ordered to liquidate the militants and proceed to rescue the hostages. The advance of special forces was hindered by the fact that the militants used the hostages as a human shield, as well as prepared firing positions at different places in the school, as well as barricades.

Assault groups moved from several directions: a dining room and workshops, a library and a gym. Also, units advanced into the courtyard to the walls of the gym.

At 15:05, the main forces of the TsSN of Federal Security Service, which had previously been at another school and practiced the assault on a similar building, entered the fray. For fire support, the officers of the Center used 8 BTR-80 from the 58th army.

At 15:20, an assault group under the command of Colonel Vitaly Demidkin, consisting of Alpha and Vympel employees, made its way to the windows of the first floor of the educational building near the gym and entered the corridor leading to the dining room. There, the fighters of the TsSN fell under the fire of the machine gun crew of the militants; during the shootout, Major Roman Katasonov (Vympel), while covering special forces team, was fatally wounded and died on the spot. Having eliminated the enemy firing position, the special forces from the Demidkin group killed a suicide bomber who tried to detonate himself with a grenade, mingling with the staff of the Special Operations Center, and advanced towards the dining room.
OBG No. 2, 6 and 9, having advanced under the walls of the building under the fire of terrorists from the windows of the first and second floors, broke into the dining room and kitchen and found a large number of hostages inside. Firing over their heads, the terrorists began to retreat deep into the building towards the classes. When one of the terrorists, hiding in the pantry, threw a grenade at the hostages, Vympel lieutenant Andrei Turkin covered it with his body.

In close combat, Majors Andrei Velko (Vympel) and Vyacheslav Malyarov (Alpha) died. Also during the battle, Vympel major Mikhail Kuznetsov, was seriously injured and died on the way to the hospital. Shielding other employees, Major Alexander Perov (Alpha) killed one of the terrorists who came to the rear of the assault group and having received multiple gunshot and shrapnel wounds, died.

By 6:00 p.m., the hostage evacuation from the building was completed, and the Alpha and Vympela operational combat groups continued to clean up the school’s outbuilding, where the terrorists were still stubbornly resisting. In particular, several militants hiding beneath iron mills in one of the labor rooms were destroyed by Vympel as a result of detonation of a demolution charge. After receiving information that the approaches to the rest of the firing points of the terrorists were mined, the commander of the Special Purpose Center Tikhonov decided to withdraw the special forces from the school in order to avoid new casualties among the personnel and the use of heavy weapons against militants in the south wing.

During the CTO in Chegem, two bandits planning to commit a terrorist attack were neutralized

Tonight, during the operational-search activities in the city of Chegem, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the security services received information about the presence in one of the private houses located in the 1st Industrial passage, two armed bandits who are members of a religious extremist group.

In order to prevent them from committing terrorist acts and to ensure the safety of citizens, the head of the republican Directorate of the FSB of Russia made a decision to conduct a counter-terrorist operation and introduce an appropriate legal regime on part of the territory of the city of Chegem from 5 a.m. on September 18, 2019.

The area adjacent to the building was cordoned off. The bandits who were in the house were asked to lay down their arms and surrender to the authorities. In response, they opened fire on law enforcement officers and were neutralized during the combat. At the site of the shootout, a home-made explosive device, machine guns, and ammunition ready for use was discovered.

The personalities of the militants are indentified. According to reports, they intended to commit terrorist crimes in the Republic.

There are no casualties among law enforcement officials and civilian casualties.

“Fearless, fair and honest” - these are the epithets the BBC describes the Chechen terrorist Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, who had connections with the Islamic state

Um al-BBC al Britani took responsibility for an "article" about honest and fair Chechen jihadists who were just trying to build their own version of Islamic State before ISIS was a thing.

The story of a friend of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili — Akhmed Chatayev — who was killed in Berlin — was similar. He was an unhappy Chechen refugee. He received asylum in Austria, and then left for the ISIS and organized a terrorist attack in Istanbul. As a result, he was destroyed during a joint operation of the State Security Service of Georgia and the CIA in Tbilisi

On the left - Amnesty international article from 2010 about Akmed being a subject for forced expulsion from Ukraine to Russia where he can face "torture s" and similar shit and Amnesty demanded from Ukraine to help him to get refugee status in Austria.

On the right - Um Al-BBC article named "SGB of Georgia: Akhmed Chataev blow up himself in Tbilisi" from 2017, above it "Akmed Chataev planned terrorist attacks against americans in Turkey and Georgia" rom 2018.
