The Democrats saw the hilarious, over-the-top shitshow that was the 2016 Republican primary and said "hold my beer."

More like "Hold my meth-filled syringe".

The way things are circling the drain for the Left, Joe Biden will soon be regarded as Alt-Right.

So my suggestion for "Enter the Gladiators" as the 2020 Democrat party campaign theme,  may actually morph into a real event?

Wonderful.

I shall make popcorn.

Yeah he even told them what he was doing and Nancy and the terror squad took it hookline and sinker.

God what a time to be alive lol!

He took infighting among the Dems and managed to unite them all against his egregious comments while further driving down his approval rating among independents (while boosting it among republicans, who were going to vote for him anyway.)  Brilliant.

Lets see how Trump is doing in my home state of Michigan, a state he must carry in 2020 if he wants to win.  Since Trump took office, his net approval rating here has dropped 23 points.  Not exactly good news in a state he won by a razor thin margin.  My rep, Justin Amash, left the Republican party over crimes revealed by the Mueller Report.  Fred Upton, long time rep from Kalamazoo was one of only four Republican reps to vote for the House resolution condemning Trump's statements.  Bill Huizenga, another West Michigan rep, voted against the resolution, did condemn the comments on his social media platforms.  Trump is not doing all that well in Western Michigan right now, which is traditionally the Republican stronghold in this state. The actions of some of our local Reps seems to confirm that they can feel a shift in the wind.

Trump's strategy of constantly going back to his (ever shrinking) base is not going to work.  Sure, his approval numbers have gone up in some states that he was going to win again anyway.  But in those key midwest swing states, things look dire for him.

Michigan -23

Ohio -7

Pennsylvania -9

Wisconsin  -14

Trump united the Democrats...

...around four women who are toxic for the Democrats.

And as the election gets closer, the attention will focus around the Democratic candidates, not the Squad.  Meanwhile, Trump will continue to be toxic to 55% of the American public.

Candidates who rush closer to 'the Squad' as they try to out woke each other.

And yet he became president anyway.

Perhaps you are giving certain polls like "Trump's approval rating has dropped 23%" more value than they actually have. Especially when according to that poll his approval rating in your state has remained steady for over two years.

Minor Democrat gains in what was supposed to be a crushing blue wave?

The left wing talking heads dropped the 'the 2018 midterms are a referendum on Trump' talking point like a hot potato

Surveys, and people putting too much faith in them is what got him elected in the first place.

I see him serving a second term, simply because the "surveys" are so thoroughly disconnected from the general populace.

Here's the 2016 results.

Even when I lived there, Michigan was a "Liberal Cities, Conservative elsewhere" state.

Timmy get it.

Moreso, the product they are selling is unpalatable.

The number of solid Democrats I know, I can count on one hand.  And some of them will not vote for a "Democratic" candidate based simply on the early debates.

Of the four, three do not intend to vote.  The fourth is looking at independents.

Yeah, they are trying to offer America a bucket of bullshit, and the left is lapping it up.  The democrat presidential candidates are trying to sell socialism, when the country is doing pretty well, and is finally out of the Obama slump.  They must have some very stupid political advisers right now.

After seeing the rampant crack down on speech in the UK, I decided that more should be done than just Thoughts and Prayers.

I know that it's a scary time for our UK members. Knowing that what you say on the internet can put you on the wrong side of a Bobby's nightstick, well, I find that despicable.

So I've created this place for all your impure or degenerate thoughts. Here's how it works.

Perhaps you want to say something "offensive". Instead of saying it yourself, you can message any US member of this forum and have them act as your avatar of avarice.

For example, say you had a particularly heinous fish and chips at the local pub. You may want to say, "Oi, that cheeky fucker Barnaby William can't do a proper chip if he had a fryer for hands!"

This on it's own could send you straight to jail for defamation. Moreso, if instead of chips that sent you reeling it happened to be a kebab from Omar down the street.

Now your crime has gone from offensive to racially insensitive!

Anytime such an urge comes along, call on your ex colonial friends. We will translate and post your complaint for all the world to revel in, free of charge!

I personally think Omar should learn to pull the fucking kebab off heat before it's crisper than his wife's crotch and blacker than his beard. That tosser!

See? Don't you feel better? And now, no one will be knocking on your door, serving you with a summons for being a racist git.
