Nagorno Karabakh conflict

Massive fighting started along most of the Nagorno Karabakh border. The situation looks very serious as both Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia declared martial law and started general mobilisation.

So far we have a looot of footage of destroyed Azeri armor and alleged wreck of an Azeri helicopter. In the morning Armenia admited 10 fallen soldiers. Azerbaijan claims it destroyed many OSA AA systems. Armenia claims (besides of the clear footage) to shot down another helicopter nad three UAVs.

Bayraktar TB2 footage striking Armenian Osa systems.

Allegedly Syrian gangs on Azeri side (there were rumors of them being transported to Azerbaijan by Turkey for weeks).

Meanwhile at least one VKS An-124 landed in Yerevan and at least one another Il-76 departed Rostov en route to Armenia.

   On September 27, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister M. Cavusoglu, during which they exchanged views on the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

   The need for an early ceasefire and stabilization of the situation on the Contact Line was stressed. Condolences were expressed to the families and friends of the victims.

The National Council on Television and Radio of Azerbaijan issued a statement.
/.../
   In such a situation, the National Council on Television and Radio appeals to the television and radio broadcasters and organizations operating in the country and asks them to take into account the following important points:

1) The information and data provided, as well as video reports must be based exclusively on official sources;

2) Given the constraints on social media and the need to prevent distress among the population, broadcasting resources should strive to provide information as quickly and regularly as possible. For this, it is recommended to use short news bulletins;

3) Taking into account the concern of the population with news from the front line, it is especially important to abandon programs of a negative nature, to diversify the air with optimistic military-patriotic programs;

4) A request to the operators of paid platforms (cable, IPTV, OTT, etc.), which rebroadcast foreign TV channels, to review the issue of suspension of rebroadcasting of foreign channels, editorial control over the programs of which may be held by pro-Armenian circles.

   We - the National Council on Television and Radio of Azerbaijan - call on all TV and radio broadcasting resources to respond with understanding and sensitivity to the latest events.

Armenia is part of CSTO so this time Russia is somewhat obliged to act. It will be intresting...

Armenian MoD now addmits 16 dead and 100+ injured soldiers so far today. They also claim that Azeris are using long range MLRS Polonez, T-300 and Smerch.

Another Bayraktar TB2 strike footage.

Alleged Azeri drone shot down.

Pieces of some Azeri drone being collected by civilians.

Alleged Azeri TOS-1 in action. May be recycled training footage, I don't know.

Armenia feels confident not to ask CSTO support.

   Armenia will use operational-tactical complexes "Iskander-M" if Turkey starts using F-16 fighters in Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vardan Toganyan stated this to RIA Novosti.

   According to him, so far the Armenian side has enough air defense systems in service to eliminate Turkish and Azerbaijani drones.

   “The military leadership has repeatedly stated that if the sword of Damocles in the form of Turkish F-16s hangs over the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, all measures will be taken, including the Iskander. That is, the Armenian Armed Forces will have to use their entire arsenal to ensure security, ”Toganyan threatened.

@ Looser: It appears the poor An-2 indeed had to crash recently. The crash site looks very freshly burned. There is even a photo claimed to be a bomb from the plane and the Armenians claim to shot it down. It sounds too crazy to be true. I don't know what to think about it because I can't see why would anyone send An-2 for bombing mission.

At least one Azeri pilot died, so something was indeed shot down and since that An-2 wreck lies deep in the territory controlled by Armenia it's for sure from another case. Some say a Mi-24 was shot down yesterday, so maybe from that one?

I will not post every video of dead soldiers because there is a lot of other stuff. Let's go with it. An Armenian position overruned by Azeris. Armenian side admits 84 fallen so far.

More Azeri armor looses.

Another picture of an alleged dead Azeri pilot (different one). While there is a helicopter behind him he has An-2 patch on the chest. I don't know if he indeed died or if his photo was just randomly picked by the tweet author to support the Armenian story.

Anyone able to identify the drone wreckage on the first picture (the rest obviously isn't a helicopter as it was already established)?

According to the Armenian ambassandor in Russia, the sultan already deployed about 4000 jihadists from Syria. Just like in Lybia... Turkey is actively supporting terrorism, I think they should be kicked out of NATO immediately.

Successful engagement of Armenian AD. What was shot down, hard to say. Looks like something relatively large and slow moving in low altitude.

This video showing torn rear end of an aircraft and exploding wreck. I would say it's another An-2 (clearly different one than the first one). It can be the same thing as shown on the video above.

Azeri infantry retreating under fire and taking casualties.

A bus targeted in Armenia proper, not in NKR territory.
