Toxn
This is a public service announcement to anyone living in the United States and currently in possession of a rifle, musket, crossbow, bow or spear: kill and eat as many deer as you can. Thank you for your cooperation. xthetenth
Sturgeon
The worst thing is that as far as the public consciousness goes, it doesn't matter which way the debate goes or what the science is as long as they create the impression of a debate. Once they've ginned up the illusion of a debate they've won because every step in the debate is given a bit of air time, and every one but the last gives the illusion that there's a debate, so the more debates happen the more people think are still going and the more problems they think there are. What's even worse is when you have a scientific subject that gets politicized and co-opted to serve an agenda, and then that happens to it. This is essentially what has happened with environmental conservation.
Walter_Sobchak
This is a public service announcement to anyone living in the United States and currently in possession of a rifle, musket, crossbow, bow or spear: kill and eat as many deer as you can. Thank you for your cooperation. I would recommend the same for any cats allowed to roam outside. Both are a menace.
Donward
Farm kitty cats have an outdoor purpose. Mine also helped herd chickens...
Donward
A happy story about wood bison being reintroduced to the wild in Alaska. http://www.adn.com/article/20150321/wood-bison-set-return-alaska-wilderness-after-century-away What finally allowed the project to finish was a pragmatic exemption of the Endangered Species Act.
