about the “Oplot”, I think this is a “triumph” of the T-64 series ... and its followers.  But this is not a 21st century tank.

Morozov’s followers on both sides of the border sawn the old concept, time showed how far ahead of time it was.  But sometimes it is worth stopping and thinking about something new (I’m not talking about Armata and not even about T-95).

The picture shows the T-90A tanks of the latest series of the 2010 (last T-90A produced). These are the so-called "T-90A with PTK" or "Product 188A2". Their difference is that they were equipped with software and hardware of battlefield managment system.

/.../

Initially there were delivered to the Taman brigade. I don’t know where they are now. But they are unlikly to leave the Moscow region. Because of the PTK machines are considered secret. The Taman brigade after that immediately stopped going to parades.

/.../

Their main secret is that the PTK system, in which a lot of money have been poured in, does not want to work normally. Neither in the T-90A nor in the T-14 ...

120 years have passed since the birth of Mikhail Koshkin - the creator of the T-34 tank, recognized as the best weapon of the Great Victory. In honor of this, a symbolic competition T-34-85, T-72B3, T-90S was held at Uralvagonzavod.

Sounds like an opportunity for someone to design yet another unmanned turret with a 30mm cannon and ATGMs! Maybe add a grenade launcher too for good measure.

I think we already have number of those. But nothing will stop them from making a new one!

Are there any plans to put Ataka on the BMP-2, or is Kornet good enough?

There was a proposed Ataka launcher for BMP-3, but i never heard about Ataka ATGM launcher for BMP-2s. Kornet is going on Berezhok (and then on BMP-2s) probably because of KBP. Although both Kornet and Ataka are better (combat characteristics wise) than Konkurs on standart BMP-2s.

Looks like these are modernized versions, judging from the IR headlights. If they were in original 1944 condition, it would be a pain to keep these operational, especially because of the unreliable 4 speed transmission and the completely inadequate air filters... These were all changed in the 50s

MOSCOW, December 11th. / TASS /. Russia will supply several hundred tank support vehicles (BMPT) Terminator in one of the African countries, a military and diplomatic source told TASS on Tuesday. "Several hundreds of BMPTs were bought by one of the African states. Supplies started," the agency’s source said. The source refused to name the country that bought the Terminator.

We managed to fool somebody in Africa. Most likely this customer is either Algeria or Egypt.
