Can someone explain to me how that dual cannon turret works?

I've seen it has a separate elevation mechanism for each cannon.

I don't understand the twisted logic here.

When your country is invaded by hordes of Russians and Buryats, they only option is more Dakka.

Or no Dakka at all.

It looks like rumors about Oplot not having composite/layered armor in its UFP are true.

UFP armor module is duplet ERA blocks and steelplate between them.

The diagrams I had seen guessed that there was some sort of composite underneath all the ERA, but if that is the case the composite is not particularly thick.

Also, I find it a little strange that the designers have ditched the old STEF/steel, but they haven't bothered to re-design the glacis to get rid of the big, glaring weakpoint in the center.

More of Oplot ERA

As you can see, there is 3 layers of ERA in side modules. Although ERA blocks, used in side armor is 19A, each tile have like 2 times less explosives than turret frontal ERA blocks, so in overall 3 layers ~= 2 layers of frontal ERA bricks.
