Granted most aircraft of the time were death traps, but putting the tanks in the wings would at least keep the vapours away from the cockpit
Sturgeon
Build quality on everything German late war was fucking rubbish AFAIK. After the war, "Made in Germany" was basically a synonym for what "Made in China" is now. I've seen a lot of genuine late-war German planes and other artifacts in museums. They are typically so bad that you can tell if something is a replica because it doesn't look like dog puke. Jeeps_Guns_Tanks
Sgt.Squarehead
According to documents elsewhere on the forum that weapon diagram is wrong.....Neither the cowling guns, nor the outboard cannons, were fitted to any of the very few H series Ta-152s that actually got built, as far as I can tell. PS - Having said that the diagram does appear to have C series (short span) wings.

All 152s actually built were hastily cobbled prototypes and preproduction examples, so they probably all deviated from design blueprints to some extent. Belesarius
Yep. Hadn't heard of it before today. It's the looser to the Tomahawk.

LostCosmonaut
Looks like a graphic designer tried to make a plane. Is that little central pod supposed to hold the engines and the gearbox for those props. Or are the engines in those pods?
Xlucine
I think there's turboshafts in the pods, with the drive somehow (shaft? electric?) transferred to the central thingy. Assuming the turboshaft engines don't grenade first, which is a real possibility with that inlet ETA: I'm assuming the third image is the earliest concept, which lead to the first and second images - this means that they must have had a conversation something like this: "you know the pitot inlet? That thing jet engines need to not explode? It looks dumb, lets get rid of it" Sturgeon
