MOSCOW, September 18. / TASS /. The latest version of the OSNOD communication and data transmission system (a combined communication, data exchange, navigation and identification system) with enhanced crypto and noise protection is undergoing state tests as part of the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter. This was told by TASS, the head of the scientific and technical center NPP Polet of the holding Roselektronika (part of Rostec) Alexei Ratner.

"The OSNOD system itself has been developed for a long time and has lived for several generations. The modification on the Su-57 was developed specifically for this aircraft and today it is undergoing state testing," Ratner said.

According to the interlocutor, the system developed at NPP Polet implements special types of noise protection and EW-resistant coding with information recovery. "In addition, constant cryptographic protection of communications is ensured, that is, interception of messages in this system will not lead to anything. Today it is one of the most EW-proof communication systems," Ratner added.

The OSNOD system was created in the interests of the operational-tactical link and is designed to provide real-time control of various types of aircraft during ground-water-air operations. OSNOD terminals can be installed on airplanes and helicopters, warships, land mobile and stationary objects.

Nigeria is discussing with Russia the possibility of buying Su-57 fighters, and is also interested in helicopters, tanks and reconnaissance equipment, said Nigerian Ambassador to Russia Steve Davis Ugba.

“You also mentioned Su-57 fighters, negotiations are also underway on them. But sanctions against Russia do not help this cause, as you can imagine. Russia is a reliable partner that always fulfills its obligations, ”the Nigerian ambassador said to RIA Novosti.

According to him, in the military sphere there are a number of technologies and military equipment in which Nigeria is interested and which Russia can offer.
