Who is that idiot and why it is here?

He's a Right Wing SFF author with some interesting personal connections. He tends to provide an interesting context for someone like me. Let's call him a way to provide context for a bunch of people who think similarly. Not saying I agree with him, and theres a fair bit of bombast to his statements.

I guess the question is how is this incident being reported in Russia?

Reports of 5 citizens killed, none of them was MoD personal. Different politicians reacted differently - some of them said that this is not our problem, others want investigation. Reaction from officials started to appears only like a week after when information started to leak about who was killed (some of them i posted in this thread) and it was something "reports of 100s Russians killed is a lie", "Some Russians might be killed", "5 citizens were killed, none was army or SF personal", etc. I don't think there is any serious attention amongst general public.

Politicians managed to make killing of our personal a trivial deal. Great job. Su-24 pilots that Turkey shot down cost to Turkey some short-lived tomatoes ban, Shairat AB attack was like completely unanswered and now this.

Why are your politicians so blasé about military losses?  Does the military know that the politicians consider them expendable?

No idea. Energy projects and income is higher priority for them, Southern gas pipe needs Turkey, for example.

Syrian TV & SANA's correspondent in Aleppo says SAA will enter Afrin in the next few hours

News from Afrin, rumors about talks between SAA and Kurds are probably true.

On February 19, the Ahrar al-Sham Movement and Nur al-Din al-Zenqi Movement announced in a joint statement that they are joining forces to form a new armed group in the Syrian province of Idlib. The name of the group is the Syrian Liberation Front (SLF).

According to the statement, SLF will fight with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies. However, Ahrar al-Sham and Nour al-Din al-Zenki stressed that the SLF would also oppose anyone who works against the "forces of revolution".

According to sources of the Syrian opposition, SLF will be led by Jaber Ali Bash, senior commander of Ahra al-Sham. This statement has not yet been confirmed by the SLF.

#Damascus offered an alternative for al-Ghouta militants to leave to #Idlib or #Daraa before the final assault. Still waiting for the final answer or the beginning of the attack #Damascus. #Russia is pushing the Syrian Government to clear Ghouta.
