Yup, the conflict Israel has been pushing for is finally imminent.....Hopefully you will all wipe each other out.  :)

What kind of response did you try to bait?

Photo in yellow was claimed to be not Spike, but something else.

Judging by the nose section, it could be a Spice 2000 aerial bomb (a more advanced type of JDAM).

The IDF gave a statement on the targets that were hit:

  • Iranian intelligence sites operated by Quds.
  • Logistical commands of Quds.
  • Military and logistical compounds of Quds in Kiswah.
  • Iranian military camp north of Damascus.
  • Weapons storage facilities of Quds in Damascus international airport.
  • Intelligence systems and posts of Quds.
  • Military posts, weapons, and observation posts in the buffer zone.
  • The rocket launcher that was used to fire into Israel.
  • SAM batteries that fired on Israeli aircraft despite warnings.

A total of 50 targets were hit, including 5 SAM batteries neutralized. IDF claims most of Iran's infrastructure in Syria has been destroyed and will set them back a few months.

20 Fajr-5 rockets were fired. Of them, 16 fell in open territory still in Syria, and another 4 were intercepted by Iron Dome.

According to Russian MoD, the attack was carried out by 28 aircraft which fired 60 munitions, plus ground based missiles.

Of the 70 munitions that were fired, the SAA allegedly managed to shoot down ~35.

It is yet unknown how the IDF managed to hit 50 targets with only 35 munitions. Neither is it known how Syria always manages to shoot down a number of missiles significant enough to boast about, yet just short of anything that would actually change things as the targets are still destroyed.

The most ridiculous thing here is that the Iranians did not even tried to answer. Golans were attacked by Syrian artillery from the 137th Artillery Regiment of the 7th Mechanized Division, in response to another Israeli strike against the Syrian position in the province of Quneitra. Israel used this as an excuse for a massive raid on targets in southern Syria.
In this, both pro-government and opposition sources agree..

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring group, confirmed that rockets were fired towards the occupied Golan. But it said the attack came after Israeli forces bombarded Baath, a town in the demilitarised zone.

Contrary to reports and just for the sake of clarity the missile attacks on #Israel were predominately carried out by the 7th division of the Syrian army (Regiment 137) who fired more than 27 rockets alone.

It seems Netanyahu's visit in Russia for the V day parade resulted in the cancellation of the S-300 transfer to Syria. At least to me, it seems that Russia now sees eye to eye with Israel on the Iranian issue. Not that they threaten Russia, but that they need to be gone from Syria. Assad already retook the vast majority of Syria and wont need their aid when the assaults commence against Golan-region terrorists.

This is speculations at best. Russia plans to sell Iran fuck ton of shit, i don't think that our politicians are going to do anything against Iran.

You misunderstood me. The trade with Iran is unchanged. The alliance with Iran is unchanged. Only that Russia will not sell S-300 to Syria (not Iran), and may want Iran to at least stay away from the border with Israel so they don't ruin what Russia built, because Syria needs less externally sourced conflicts, not more.

NEW MAP: During the past few days #SAA forces have advanced in desert regions of #DeirEzzor Governorate near the #Iraq/i border and liberated many areas from #ISIS remnants.  Soon, so called #IslamicState in #Syria will be history.
