New Lada 4x4 Vision concept. Knowing from what parts new ladas are made, this is basically french car with few Russian parts (like cast iron pieces of engine and few suspension parts). I bet it have a lot of Valio and Bosch in it, as Lada Vesta SV crossover had.

Also that vehicle is not Niva, as name "Niva" was bought by... GM. LMAO. Chevy Niva was made and name was not sold or given somewhere else after production run.

Most likely new "Nivas" will look like this, and not as Vision concept:

It's normal to have most of the parts from standard automotive suppliers. That's the case for basically all carmakers all around the world. Also some of those  global suppliers also produce in Russia, just like Valeo which you named (Togliatti)

That is not the case for ex-Soviet car makers, as almost all parts were produced locally and now almost whole thing is made out of components collected from all around the world with fiew castings and metal panels made in Russia. This is significant decrease in localisation of production. Getting some parts for Ladas now is almost as hard as for some rare American or Japanese cars, lol.

Indeed most world car manufacturers outsource just about every component and process , even development of said components , Lada  is made in  Togliattigrad  in one of the largest car plants in the world , not because they make most cars (the volume they manufacture is actually rather small),but because virtually everything is made inhouse . Most car manufacturers these days couldn't make a whole car on their own even if they wanted to , but that is not their goal as they also offload development and tooling costs onto their supplyers.

Togliattigrad - is named after the Italian Palmiro Togliatti ,head of Italian Communist party ,that is credited with making the whole Fiat AutoVAZ undertaking possible.

Back in the day Italians supplied the knowhow for AutoVaz-Lada ,now its part of Renault group . Lada Niva at the time was one of the first modern SUVs with unibody construction , now days i am suprised they are not just making something on Dacia Duster basis as i see Duster 4x4 is more or less the Lada Niva replacement in much of Europe.

Chinese car companies - 1; Russian car makers - 0.

Haval H9 SUVs appeared in the Russian army

Haval H9 SUVs with military numbers have become more common on Russian roads. In particular, such SUVs came across eyewitnesses at one of the proving grounds near Moscow. The Chinese Cars portal managed to find out that Chinese SUVs appear in the parks of the Ministry of Defense as a result of purchases under a state contract. Haval won the tender, thanks to which the Haval H9 will receive the status of the main command vehicle.

In the Russian representative office of the brand, they are in no hurry to talk about their role in replenishing the vehicle fleet of the Russian army. Apparently, the choice of the H9 as an army vehicle is explained by their localization: the Tula plant is engaged in the production of SUVs. And government agencies are prohibited from buying imported cars.

According to "KA", Haval H9 with "black" registration plates were seen in the capital, St. Petersburg, Kaluga, Kaliningrad, Khabarovsk and Primorsky regions, Nagorno-Karabakh, etc.

The plant of the Chinese concern Great Wall was opened on the territory of the special economic zone (SEZ) "Uzlovaya" in the Tula region.

Not so much, at least not yet.

My understanding is that it's mostly German, American and Scandinavian stuff for mine work and road freight.

Light duty trucks seem to be mainly Japanese, but with more and more Indian and Chinese vehicles appearing.
