Am I the only person who thinks these Fermi paradox discussions are seriously missing something?

 



My inclination is to think that arguing that aliens don't exist because we haven't found any evidence of them yet is sort of like arguing that because you've been searching for two hours for your car keys that keys must have never been invented.

Sturgeon has never seen me when I misplace my car keys however.

I can assure you at somepoint when I'm sacking the house looking for them, alien abduction is a definite possibility I always consider

Real reason: the commanders are all taking turns flying it up to Russian and Chinese satellites while making 'pew pew' noises.

 

This mission has been such a success, in fact, that OTV-5 is expected to launch with special 'visual interdiction' systems deployable from the cargo bay. These will allow the vehicle to be flown right in front of satellite sensors in order to flip the Chinese or the Russians the bird using high-definition LCD displays.
