   April 27, during a training session of the landing on the deck of an aircraft carrier, due to error in jet fighter system, a 29-year-old first-rate pilot of the PLA Navy Zhang Chao was killed. When plane almost landed on the deck, aircraft nose elevated rapidly to almost 80 degrees, pilot managed to eject, but received severe wounds and medical personall was not able to save him.

 

 

   Zhang Chao hadexperience piloting 8 types of aircraft. He was one of the best pilots of the young, third-generation Chinese military aircraft pilots. He voluntarily went to serve in the ranks of the carrier-based aircraft in March 2015.

According to John Golan's Lavi book, there are substantial differences in the construction of the J-10 and the Lavi.  Most notably, the Lavi had a composite wing, and the J-10 has a nearly all-metal structure.  The J-10 is also bigger, and about 40% heavier.  That said, it is apparently well-documented that Israeli engineers were consulted on the design.

They were consulted for some parts of the design phase yeah, but how much is widely exaggerated is the thing, and as you already said the flighter is far from a copy like hardcore Lavi fans point out.

 

Funnily enough, as I've said before, the foreign design it actually has the most blood from is the F-16, though, despite the evidence largely in favor of this, Lavi fanboys will glip if you try and tell them that because clearly a standing wing configuration fighter and a delta configuration fighter can't share any similarities or have any foreign aid from the designers of the F-16.
