Now this is interesting.

It looks like someone put in quite a bit of effort to design the fins, and the standoff fuze in the head seems to indicate a shaped charge or EFP in there somewhere. I wonder how well it works?

Libya: a land where someone decided that C&C: Generals was a good place for weapon design advice.

After some time this thread will have enough examples of jihadi weapon designs to create a faction in next big C&C RTS  :D

Plenty of interesting vehicles/weapons, like M113 with ZU-23-2 on top of it.

Mike Sparks had a disturbing erotic dream and he doesn't know why...

I really feel that the next big war will bring heavy IRAM-style MRLs into common use as a way to smash gunned-up apartment complexes and other large fortifications.

They seem like an excellent fit for situations where bombing would be too difficult and 105/122/155mm bombardment won't cut it.

Who would have thought: the same folks who brought us the Overlord tank (plus propaganda towers, because damn that health regen is good) were actually right on the money when they described the GLA.

I, for one, can't wait to see anthrax-spewing tractors make their triumphant debut on the battlefield of tomorrow.

Greetings, I have been studying in the battle of Afrin since it started. Yet I still lack some information that can clearly analyse the opposite plan, war progress and order of battle of both side (Turkey army clear but YPG isn’t).

I am spectacular interested in the process of the battle as it revealed the true strength of the 2nd largest NATO army. Also, the performance of YPG/YPJ militant against the regular modern army is meaningful to modern warfare study too.

Hence, any kind man can help me on this field or even just give out a reading list?

ISIS, how you get so many Toyota Hilux pickups?

U.S. Treasury inquires about ISIS use of Toyota vehicles
      http://abcnews.go.com/International/us-officials-isis-toyota-trucks/story?id=34266539

Toyota Hilux pickups, an overseas model similar to the Toyota Tacoma, and Toyota Land Cruisers have become fixtures in videos of the ISIS campaign in Iraq, Syria and Libya, with their truck beds loaded with heavy weapons and cabs jammed with terrorists. The Iraqi Ambassador to the United States, Lukman Faily, told ABC News that in addition to re-purposing older trucks, his government believes ISIS has acquired “hundreds” of “brand new” Toyotas in recent years.
“This is a question we’ve been asking our neighbors,” Faily said. “How could these brand new trucks... these four wheel drives, hundreds of them -- where are they coming from?”

This was posted on tanknet back in April, I can't believe I missed it.  I'm pretty sure this constitutes a grave crime against AFV decency and good taste.  And why the glossy green paint?
