You only regret not selling it to MEEEEEEEEEE! FFS, I wanted to make an "Air Service Rifle" from one of those with a L4 LMG mag.. But most of the ones I came across were just shit. (And by "shit" , I mean "Would not feed a single round, were grossly out of headspace, would reliably unlock the bolt upon firing, or could not hit a flock of barns from inside one of them..)

  3. But it "wasn't designed" to do that. M193 frags but "not by design". But it's a trite clause at best. We could say the main design is to punch a hole in paper. But if it just so happens to violently expand and induce polonium poisoning then that's totally not the main design. Totally an accident. Just a little fluke. Lolz we already made some so piss off.

  5. You guys already seem to have a concept for the next competition, but an idea for one of these just came to me and I wanted to put it in writing: The year is 1936, and you are an engineer for a private company which is known to design and build tanks or other armored vehicles for select customers (Vickers, Renault, CKD/Skoda, Marmon-Herrington, Krupp, Landsverk, Fiat-Ansaldo, etc.). Alternately, you are an independent madman entrepreneur with an interest in designing tanks, like J. W. Christie or Edward Grotte. Tensions in the far east are rising and the Chinese gover

  6. Already done on a larger scale. The downsides are - "Your traverse and elevation is absurdly limited". (Unless you want a Churchill GC) You are forcing yourself into a defensive stance. (Tanks with DP guns, like the M4 medium are better on the advance than the defense, in that they are allowed more gun mobility). Casemate "tanks" are for the most part acts of desperate compromise. You are either trying to save money, or work with what you have.

  8. Yamato wouldn't run, and would let the Iowa dictate the range and shrek it because it's a shittier design and has no choice. It's dead if it tries to run and dead if it stays. what does this even mean The Japs did not have any form of NV. The closest they had was well trained sharp eyed operators with binoculars with comedy-large objective lenses. Not in any way shape or form a substitute for radar. Face it, the jap ship is low energy and sad. What happened at Samar? you mean that battle where a Jap heavy cruiser was destroyed by the gun of an escort carrier

  9. I would, at least, like to compliment Peasant for sticking to his guns despite being horrendously overmatched qualitatively and quantitatively, and getting slaughtered as a result. In this, he does the IJN proud.

  10. Tsushima Strait was in 1905. I think you're conflating it with Surigao Strait. There's a big fucking difference, as I outlined in an edit to my initial post in this thread. To summarize, the IJN beat the shit out of the Imperial Russian Navy because their ships were a knot faster, slightly more maneuverable, and had a gun armament biased towards heavy guns. The same thing also happened at the Battle of the Yellow Sea the year before. Mechanical accuracy means dick all if you can't point the gun in the right direction because the FCS is primitive and incapable of working when you'r

  11. @Peasant As Tsushima Strait showed, even a handful of knots speed advantage can provide a decisive advantage. The Iowa class might sacrifice some protection, but in exchange they gain between five and seven knots on the Yamatos. This would allow them to dictate the conditions of the engagement, and as seen at Tsushima (And also at Yellow Sea but I digress), a force with even a 1-3 knot advantage could and would dictate the terms of engagement. Additionally, the 16"/50 Mark 7 gun with 16" AP shell Mark 8 is so close in performance to the Japanese 18.1" in armor penetration that the

    Competition Suggestions

I've forwarded this one already, but I like the idea of a competition where the judges all have different criteria. As in, one judge is head of the army (and wants a medium-weight vehicle with good mobility), one is head of production (and wants a cheap tin can) and one is supreme leader (and wants a 70-tonne dick enlarger). There would then be some sort of weighted formula for selection to represent the power dynamic: ie: the fuhrer-judge's score counts double or something. I think this could mesh well with your idea by starting with a balanced requirement set by the o

And because the Saudis don't care about not incriminating themselves anymore, the Embassy urged their mother to return to Saudi Arabia the day before their bodies were discovered, stating that the sisters had applied for asylum.

  17. Wow guys, everything I say is wrong and low energy and sad, and I didn't realize that saying such idiotic nonsense would win me an invitation to a Brett Kavanaugh style frathouse rape party. I will try to do better in the future, and back up my statements with reasoned arguments from primary sources instead of making up on-the-fly ad-hoc nonsense and rationalizations. Also, I promise to throw away my Kancolle IJN Yamato fuck pillow. I guess... I've realized I need to grow up. I don't need that anymore.
