A trip on the wayback machine. I haven't heard those sounds in nearly 40 years. On the range, you can hear as the TC dials in the range as the computer clicks and adjusts. One time I heard the range whine & click to the max. I thought the TC was ranging far out, the computer went to max superelevation. I fire the round and it went over the ridge! Range control called a cease fire. We checked the range, it was max. I hit reset and it fixed the problem, nothing else went wrong with it after that.

Is this the current equivalent to the Allies putting sandbag/track blocks/concrete on their Shermans in WWII? IE: good for crew morale but not much else other than putting more weight on the chassis.
