  1. From Tank & AFV News I think the marijauna legalization is going a bit too far.
  2. Its weird to see an Abrams with an infantry bumper number. 1-8 IN in that video.
  3. From the Sherman thread: >Indirect Fire Control Gear You would think that would be it for fire control equipment, but it’s not, because all Shermans came equipped with the equipment for their tanks to work as impromptu artillery batteries all Sherman based TDs had this gear as well. The US Army had this extra gear installed all the way up to the M60 tanks. During the war, some tank and TD battalions were very good at being artillery; other units didn’t train for it, and were not good. This was a good way of keeping tanks useful in Italy, and they filled this role a lot there. I do not think this was something many other nations did with their tanks. I remember setting up range cards for night firing on M60A1s using this gear. Pretty much the same equipment.
  4. If your blowout panels go, what happens to the RCWS is probably the least of your worries.
  5. With everybody and their brother producing new IFV, vehicle ID is getting harder and harder.
  6. Left over M60A2 turrets (ALVB conversions) were put on M48 hulls for hard targets. At least one was used as a static display.
  7. Any idea what this is? Found it here:https://www.reddit.com/r/tanks/comments/4z9ebv/what_variant_sherman_is_this_it_seems_to_have_an/
  8. Was the Tiger really that bad at what it was designed to do as a breakthrough tank? By the time it was fielded, it's role wasn't needed that much.
  9. Apricots are bad luck on US tanks.
  10. I remember from my time on tanks (M60A1/A3 & M1A1) that there were decals for all sorts of stowage and stuff along with warnings. Would the Sherman have the same signage?
  11. The tanker bar hasn't changed over time as well. Hey Jeeps, what about the internal signage? I don't think the decals and sign for stowage have changed either.
  12. Does anyone have a link to an article about the American Military Liaison Mission that first took pictures of the T-72. Wasn't the officer later wounded or killed?
  13. The video of the Italians showed a lot of short rounds fired. Must have been from the first day.
  14. Some did. I believe that the Chieftain commented about it in the video. 7:20
