bigger carriers mean better carriers (among other things).
IIRC, the Nimitz and Gerald R. Ford can carry circa 90 aircraft comfortably whilst the next largest foreign carriers can barely scratch 40 aircraft overloaded. This, combined with the sortie rate of these super carriers puts the US CVs in a league of their own, with practically no competition.
Also, @Belesarius, I also like naval discussion, mostly concerning WWII ships, though I’m not very knowledgeable. I’m actually quite enthralled (at the moment) with French Destroyer philosophy, with 3 different “classes”: Destroyer Leaders (Mogador and Aigle classes); standard torpedo DDs (Bourrasque and Le Hardi classes); and fleet torpedo boats (La Melpomene class). Only problem for me is I can’t find/don’t know reputable sources, and I can’t read French.
German DDs are also pretty cool too, with the occasional 150mm gun thrown in for flair

I liked the idea, got me thinking up some crazy PT ideas (I narrowed it down to either a schnellboot-like craft with a 75mm Mk 22 on the back instead of a quad 20, or an Elco 77ft with 2 torps and the same 75mm on the front).

I’m terrible with words (I post more on this site than I speak IRL, on average), being lysdexic and usually thinking in a form of shorthand that only marginally resembles the English language, which can make speaking strange as I sometimes take long pauses between words as I “translate” my thoughts. But (at least, I think) I’m creative, and passionate about fiction (science or otherwise). I do have one question though: is this “creative zone” only for books/scripts/literature or can I post, like, video game ideas?
Anyway, cool thread. The first 5 pages were funny with the fan fics and bizarre romance, almost had me in tears twice (Colli’s weird porcelain penguin/reaper thing that lived off the souls of virgins was priceless). Awesome work @Sturgeon, with the wendigo book (I assume it’s a wendigo, based on the general description of the creature, location of the events, and references to cannibalism), I hope you haven’t abandoned that project, I look forward to reading more!

In relation to the upcoming elections, I’ve been noticing a lot of Democrat commercials and adds advocating people to vote, especially the younger crowd. I guess they know why Hitlery Clinton lost in 2016?
