  1. Sorry, but do you think we need five posts with the same video in one day?

  3. First two Bulats allegedly received new NV, communication and navigation equipment.
  4. Iran just fired C-704 ASM from Bell-206 because why not...
  5. Afghan National Army Blackhawk was shot down in Helmand allegedly by a wire-guided ATGM.
  6. Yes, to have a fleet carrier also allows to significantly boost the defence of remote bases in cases of escalation such as we have seen several times in Syria.
  7. AFAIK it was discussed in the Israeli AFV topic - an IR sensor which detects the launch of the ATGM and switches the radar on so that it doesn't need to be active all the time.
  8. Allegedly an M1A2 hit another M1A2 on July 20th in a training accident resulting in a serious injury of the loader (heavy damage to the hand - possible loss of fingers plus shrapnel to the chest hitting the lungs). According to the article this is a result of a hit by training MPAT round at 2600 meters.
  9. Is there a dedicated UGV thread? This is the new Czech army recon UGV-Pz. First two pieces were delivered to the army for experimental service with possible more aquisitions in the future. It is developed by the Army technical institute (VTU) and uses the Toros 6x6 robotic platform from VOP CZ. It has two operators, one for the platform and the other for the sensors. It has optical (two dailight, one infrared cameras, laser rangefinder) and radar sensors (SQUIRE from Thales, also used on Czech Pandur recon variants). The platform has electric driven wheels with independent steering and torque vectoring and is said to be able even of a neutral steering or climbing the stairs. The whole system is transported to the operational area on a trailer behind Iveco LOV 50 B (Czech MLV). 10. The LEP has a completely new turret, right? Does it mean that the single piece ammo is all stored in the bustle and not just everywhere around the tank like with the standard Challenger 2?
  11. French engineer died near Raqqa in an IED blast together with two SDF fighters.
  12. Having a carrier adds a lot of offensive strength to the operation theater independent on the will of allies to deploy the airfoce on their soil. In other words they don't need it for defence of Russia but it would be very usefull for any offensive actions.
  13. Rolling an MRAP must be easy even on a road. I have myself seen race cars with waaay lower center of gravity rolling on a flat asphalt without hitting anything.
  14. Not sure if from another Mad Max episode...

    UAV thread

MQ-25 with refueling pod: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/35004/this-is-our-first-look-at-boeings-mq-25-tanker-drone-carrying-a-refueling-pod A question of mine since I know little about it. Can it refuel other aircraft without the pods using an integral pipe as well? I am asking because the pods naturally ruin the stealth shape of the UAV. In other news Armenian MOD presented a lot of Azeri drone and loitering munition wreckage from the recent fighting. Some only lightly damaged, possibly brough down by EW means.
  16. Egypt seems to be serious about Sirte.
  17. 2S43 seems to be revealed. Source: https://twitter.com/towersight/status/1285204879233949696
  18. Dutch Navy NH90 crashed near Aruba. Two crew members of four died.
  19. Such size is definitely not rail-transportable. How they plan to do it? Are the APS modules field-detachable?
  20. There was an incident in Zaitseve few days ago in which several UAF soldiers died. It appears to be a failed infiltration attempt. Among the three confirmed dead there is one Ukrainean marine (local from Donetsk region), one US (Texas) citizen and one Estonian-Belarussian. The last one caught his death on go-pro. The video can be seen here. It's not graphic. It looks like he was killed by a tripwire mine. It's long and nothing happens till 8:47 or so when he starts to run towards the trap. It's just a good reminder that the death can come instantly and completely surprisingly. https://vk.com/video505326778_456244696 EDIT: The US citizen is appearantly alive and well. The other two confirmed killed by Ukrainean side.
  21. Mad Max July edition.
