  1. Museum tanks can be as horrifying as movie tanks sometimes.
  2. Until you get to the three genders, aspects, verbs of motion, etc. I've seen foreigners from English speaking countries who achieved a very high degree of fluency in it though, so
  3. Learn Russian, it's so easy that even a child can do it I'm actually planning my next book to be dedicated to the M4A2 in Soviet service, but that will be at least a few years out. Have to finish the current one first.
  4. Finally found the tracks to continue working on the M4A2 that @Jeeps_Guns_Tanks sent me 3-4 years ago. Still a work in progress, but this seemed like too cool a shot to miss. Now all I need is an M4A3 and M4A4 and I'll have at least the major basic Shermans covered. Still wish someone made a Ram that wasn't a hilariously expensive resin kit. Also I maybe I can scratch build an M4A6 from an M4A4 and some spares... I should really stop thinking about buying new kits while I have a whole closet of existing ones.
  5. Finally, the Mark V is finished, photographed, and on my shelf. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with this project. Rest of photos
  6. This is what happens when you spend too much time in the Kharkovite tractor. @LoooSeR your signature image broke.
  7. You don't understand the difference between accuracy and precision, do you?
  8. You're looking at the wrong column. 15 is the deviation of the group, which is something you can just adjust your sight for. Also these are tests of a scoped rifle, whereas the numbers I gave were for iron sights. If you want to compare dispersion obtained with a scope, let's do that. 100% group size in cm with scope: Range Mosin Mauser 100 9.3-10.4 9.4 300 23.1-25.2 33.3 600 52.3 61.0 As you can see, the Mauser does better in exactly one test: 100 meters against a chest target. In literally every single other scenario, the Mosin performs better.
  9. Apparently the T-34-85 in the Ottawa War Museum came with a fully functional cannon. I don't know if they disabled it or not.
  10. RE: Mosins. Mosins are a whole group of rifles, and any specific one is going to be different. If you're shooting a 1942 production gun, it's not going to be as nice as a 1944 production gun, for instance, and a 1944 one won't measure up to an actual sniper Mosin (not the drilled and tapped standard ones that are sold as "snipers" for three times the cost). RE: shitty Mausers. Soviet trials of a sniper Mauser showed a dispersion of 10 cm at 100 meters. In your imperialist measurements that's 4 MOA, give or take, which isn't what I would call amazing for a sniper rifle. I don't have comparable trials for a Mosin, unfortunatelyю
  11. IIRC the Firefly was never supposed to carry a .50 cal, the mount on the commander's cupola is for a rangefinder. Here's a fun photo. I see the additional mudguards on this tank, but the suspension is VVSS. Is this an M4A1E9? This is the biggest resolution I have, sorry.
  12. I finished the Sniper Elite 4 main game, decided to play something else for a change before the DLC, so I gave Halo 4 a shot. It's a pretty game, but it doesn't pull me in at all. Back to shooting nazis in the balls, I guess.
  13. There was an incident over at VIF a few years back where someone actually got jailed for leaking classified info. There are people out there keeping track of this sort of thing that aren't Australians with a stick up their ass, and those people do their jobs silently.
