Slovak MOD released the final statement regarding the investigation of the accident of one of the few operational MiG-29 from last year. The report basically confirms what was circulating around already at the time of the accident. The plane simply run out of fuel due to a rapid change of weather and subsequent inability to land on Sliač airbase. Instead the pilot tried to reach Bratislava airport but he didn't have enough fuel for that.

Slovak MOD declassified another investigation report. This time from the worst air accident in the history of independent Slovakia. In 2006 an An-24 carrying KFOR soldiers from Pristina, Kosovo, crashed into a hill near Košice airport. 42 died, one soldier surived. According to the report the most probable reason for the accident was an error of the crew which resulted into a controlled flight into the terrain. They executed the landing in purely visual manner without paying enough attention to the instruments which according to the report worked well.

A bit from Army 2020 about ATGMs

Quote

ATGM Ataka is only in production in the base version, there are no M and D (8 km and 10 km) in the series. Each missile has a receiver for both laser and radio signals.
The Ataka (the rocket itself) is adapted for firing on the move, while the Chrysanthemum should be launched only in a stationary position.

The appearance of the Product 305 is no longer a secret; next year they hope to receive an export passport and show it at the exhibition.

Aero L-39NG has now EMAR 21 and EMACC international military certification (valid for all NATO and EU countries).

https://www.dnoviny.cz/letecka-doprava/aero-vodochody-letoun-l-39ng-ziskal-typovy-certifikat

Also the first PP16 L-159 was delivered to the Czech airforce. PP16 means a large mainteanance action after 16 years of service prolonging the service life by another 8 years. Part of that is small modernisation of instruments (better NVG compatibility, some modernized displays and added Integrated Stand-by Instrument System. All 16 single seaters will go through this procedure. The 8 twin-seaters (5 T1+ and 3 T2) are newer and don't need it yet.

The news about the UAF An-26 (76 yellow) now state that 26 died (21 of them kadets from Ivan Kozhedub Air Force University), one kadet survived and is in stable condition and concious. The alleged 28th person didn't make it on board for some reason. The probable cause of the crash is stated to be a left engine failure.

Allegedly the one that survived was one of two who jumped out of the plane shortly before it impacted the ground.

Preparations for the production of AI-35 engines for Turkish cruise missiles have begun in Ukraine

Zaporozhye machine-building design bureau "Progress" them. Academician A.G. Ivchenko signed a number of contracts for the supply of components for the production of 12 AI-35 turbojet engines. The total amount of contracts amounted to UAH 16 million ($ 560 thousand).

As defence-ua.com reports with reference to the ProZorro portal, at the end of September contracts were signed with FED JSC and Element PJSC. Under the terms of the agreement, by December 31, 2021, the manufacturer must receive 12 pumps of the FMP35E-1 regulators and 12 ECU-35 units. Both elements are used in the design of the new AI-35 turbojet engines and their modifications, which are being developed by the Ivchenko-Progress State Enterprise.

AI-35 engines are to be delivered to Turkey, where they will be used in advanced cruise missiles of the Gezgin project. This was announced last year by the director of the enterprise Igor Kravchenko. “We make AI-35 for the Turks. This is for a cruise missile. Now we have signed a contract for this engine, ”said the head of the enterprise. We are talking about a new cruise missile, which is being developed as part of the Gezgin program. According to reports, the characteristics of the Turkish development will be comparable to the American Tomahawks, and will receive a modular design. It is believed that the maximum range of the rocket can reach 1000 kilometers.

Recall that the AI-35 turbojet engine is designed for UAVs and high-precision weapons. Work on the engine started in 2015, and two years later the detailed design phase began. The unit with a dry weight of 61 kg develops a maximum thrust of 310 kgf. Specific fuel consumption in cruising mode is 1.4 kg / kgf-h.
