The report from the military exercises of the 76th PLA army group in Tibet shows the firing of the division of the new 155-mm wheeled self-propelled howitzers PLC-181, which since 2019 began to enter the arsenal of the PLA artillery units.
Earlier it was reported that the Chinese military-industrial corporation Norinco signed a contract for the supply of the Pakistani army with 236 155-mm self-propelled guns SH-15 (export version of the PLC-181). It is alleged that a contract worth $ 512 million was signed on June 27, 2019. The agreement includes a package of technical support, spare parts, ammunition, ground equipment and training.

The Department of Defence (DoD) in Canberra announced on 5 January that the Australian Army and the wider Australian Defence Force (ADF) will acquire the Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Spike LR2 missile system as its "Long Range Direct Fire Support Weapon capability".

Yeah, strange that they didn't got it to 100% and throw away 1 crew member. Would save some money and give more space for something else.

The 1% is always the hardest. Have to make sure the vehicle can still fight even if it takes damage and the Koreans have a lot of conscripts.

But you still need the extra crew member for manual operation. The notional K9A2 is supposed to have an autoloader.

Why would you need an extra? They are members of the crew by default. Both vehicles have a crew of 5. For 2S19, you only need extra 2 men when supplying the gun with ammo/charges from outside.

The whole point of using an autoloader is so can reduce the number of crew. I guess that's not a factor if you're just using conscripts.

Well, Im not sure how it is in the K9, but the Msta-S doesnt have a true autoloader. The projectiles are loaded automatically, but the charges arent. They are always manually loaded. You need 2 loaders because the charges are located on both sides of the turret, with the breech and loading tray completely dividing the compartment, so no possibility to get to the other side. It isnt that bad as it sounds, because the charges are much lighter(from 12 to 16kg) than the projectiles (from 43 to 58kg), so 8 rpm is still possible. (I may be wrong, but as far as I know the PzH-2000 is similar in this regard, no true autoloader there as well)
