The delivery of the 1st prototype Hypersonic hardware to the 5th Bt, 3rd Field Artillery Reg, 17th Field Art. Brgd. is completed on 07.10.2021, with a ceremony at JBLM, Wash. The US Army is prototyping the LRHW that will provide residual combat capability to Soldiers by FY23.

   Smerch MRLS replacement - "Tornado-S" MLRS on yet more KamAZ trucks. This time they have some armor protection. Picture shows 2 versions - normal and light. Left one is possibly Platforma-O-based or a variant of it.

I never saw this system before. From what I understand, it launches a small diameter bomb (GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb?) to a certain height and then it will glide to the target.

Without needing something in the air. The costs will be reduced I think and you have more options to prove artillery/ air support?

Any thoughts about this system?
