LoooSeR
Quote Russia in 2020 will begin supplying several countries of the Middle East with the latest over-the-horizon resonance radars (RLS) Resonance-NE, which are capable of detecting stealth cruise missiles and hypersonic devices. This was announced on Tuesday by TASS military-diplomatic source. "Contracts have been signed with a number of Middle Eastern countries for the supply of Resonance-NE radar. Stations will be transferred to customers within one and a half to two years," the agency’s source said. The source did not specify which countries they were talking about, noting only that they were "Russia-friendly states." TASS does not have official confirmation of the information provided by the interlocutor. The stationary radar "Resonance-NE" operates in the meter range and is equipped with a phased antenna array. It is capable of detecting modern and promising types of aerial targets at large distances, including those made using stealth technology. In particular, the radar is designed to detect and track stealth cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as hypersonic aircraft. The maximum target detection range of Resonance-NE reaches 1,100 km. At the same time, the station can track up to 500 targets. In the Russian army, the Resonance-N radar entered the arsenal of the radio-technical troops of the Western Military District and the Northern Fleet. https://tass.ru/armiya-i-opk/6947347

Ramlaen
https://www.defensenews.com/digital-show-dailies/ausa/2019/10/15/army-developed-multimission-launcher-off-the-table/ Quote The Army spent years internally developing its own multimission launcher for the Indirect Fires Protection Capability program — designed to counter threats like rockets, artillery and mortars as well as cruise missiles and unmanned aircraft systems. But that grand plan is now officially off the table. Quote The Army has until the end of 2023 to field an initial enduring capability or, by law, will have to buy more interim Iron Dome systems https://breakingdefense.com/2019/10/us-army-signals-israels-iron-dome-isnt-the-answer/ Quote The (US) Army doesn’t want to buy any more Iron Dome air defense systems, but if it may have to buy more of the Israeli-made system if it can’t get its own program up and running by 2023. Quote So, the US Army will buy Iron Dome if it has to, but it really doesn’t;t want to. “As a long-term enduring solution, absolutely not,” Gibson said of the Israeli capability. It “would be fundamentally wrong” to keep buying Iron Dome and would go against “everything we’re trying to achieve.”
