LoooSeR
Florida... merc? Quote Jamie Sponaugle, 31, of Florida has been released by the LNA after six weeks in detention. He was conducting bombing sorties on for the Libyan government when his Mirage F1 combat jet was shot down. Initially, he claimed to be a Portuguese national named Jimmie Reese. However, his accent was all over the place and it quickly came to light that “Jimmie Reese” was a second baseman for the 1930 New York Yankees, and an pseudonym used by a Tom Cruise character portrayed in the film Jack Reacher. Sponaugle was an enlisted active duty airman between 2006 and 2013, serving as a mechanic. He then served an additional three years in the Florida Air National Guard. At one point he held the position of an airspace technician. According to a report on The Washington Post, Sponaugle obtained his pilot’s license following his time in service. At first, it may seem odd that that a mechanic would be flying planes in a war zone. Yet, a pilot that is also a highly-skilled aircraft mechanic, capable of maintaining his own aircraft would be exactly what an employer of a free-lance fighter pilot would be looking for. LoooSeR
Meanwhile in Libya... Quote LNA of field marshal Haftar suffered a major defeat in the battles for the capital. While their main forces were tied up in battles near the international airport directly next to Tripoli, the Tripoli gov. forces launched a flank attack to base of advancing forces on the capital and, with the support of the local militia that had shifted to Tripoli, capture the Garyan city, 65 km south of Tripoli. This was actually the main base with which the offensive against Tripoli was started and now if the LNA fails to recapture the city, the position of their units under Tripoli will be very difficult. http://otvaga2004.mybb.ru/viewtopic.php?id=1573&p=13#p1233468 (Yuri Lyamin) Spoiler Triplo troops

The truth about their victims not being important to leftist thugs does not actually surprise me. The supposedly good people on the left not coming out against it, is also not surprising. The lefts strongly condemning their own thugs, rapists, misogamists, and racists would be a surprise though.

Apparently the Javelins were part of the stock sold by the US to France, which is causing some embarrassment: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/09/world/middleeast/us-missiles-libya-france.html The excuse is that those missiles were supposed to be used by our special forces in Lybia but that those particular ones were not-functional and were awaiting destruction. France publicly support the Tripoli government recognized by the UN but it's no secret that we strongly favor Haftar over them (since he control most of the country and it's oil). On top of that Haftar and the LNA help to keep the Djihadist in their territory under control which contribute to the goals of the Barkhane operation we have in Niger. Beer
According to Babak Taghvaee Ukrainean pilot of UR-CMC was killed in the attack by the Turkish drone. The second plane was UR-CRP, both from the infamous Europe Air. I would expect a big shitstorm about that as the planes were "civilian" belonging to a third party (even though they clearly carried military cargo). Moreover when I thought that Ukraine and Turkey had very good relations so far. It's definitely a big escalation which can trigger strikes against ships carrying Turkish cargo etc. In our news... not a single line. mr.T
Ukrainian is just the aircraft operator (most heavy lift operators are ex soviet block) ,if Russians hired them they would fly for them, but i was more or less roll of a dice , many companys fly arms into Libya any one of them could have been hit. Like most wars in ME and Africa UAE ,Saudis and Katar are playing toy soldiers. And no one gives a fuck that all are supplying arms in violation of embargo . Crazy to see then tankers to Syria being boarded in suposed embargo violations transporting oil while every jihadi had arms delivered to syria no questions asked again in clear breach of embargo on arms to warzones As for Urkraine Turk relations ,they are still good ,turks buying tech while Ukraine is in beggers can't be chosers position any one with hard cash is a friend.
