Afganit will use UV sensors (in combination with radar) to detect/track and engage targets.

Not new information, dates back to Army-2015 or so IIRC, but still very interesting. I wonder if it actually will use radar systems or not.

So, i guess, upper one (with rubber cover) are radars, and lower are UV sensor. And i was wondering - why those things are so big compared to radar antennas?

The Army-2015 model seems to contradict that.

 

This was discussed on Otvaga or Paralay (think the latter) awhile back, as you may or may not remember - in any case, it appears like their are UV optics underneath that 'rubber' layer, or whatever it is. 

 

I suspect the final turret layout has not yet been revealed - and it will feature a different radar layout (if it does indeed still include it). 

 

Some @ Otvaga noted that, like Coalition, the panels may not have been installed yet. 2S35 seems to have progressed faster than T-14.
