LoooSeR 6,993
Quote Chinese border guards received exoskeletons Chinese border guards in mountainous areas have begun operating exoskeletons. This is reported by the PRC media. Units guarding the border in the mountainous regions of the country received kits from Chongqing Niudi Technology Development (CNTD). The Chinese exoskeleton was developed by specialists from the PLA National Defense University in cooperation with the CNTD. The kit is a set of hinges that follow the joints of the legs. A satchel stand is connected to them, which distributes the load outside the human musculoskeletal system. The carrying capacity of the Chinese exoskeleton is 70 kilograms. As reported, this exoskeleton is passive - there are no electric or hydraulic drives in its design. Probably, the Chinese exoskeleton uses the principle of energy storage and release by means of balanced articulated arms. Exoskeleton tests showed a 91% reduction in the load on a person in static positions, and up to 44% in motion. At the same time, the load on the back decreased by a third.
