LoooSeR
Photos from a vacation (May of this year) at the Armavir/Novokubansk towns in Krasnodar region, southern Russia. Pulkovo airport, before departure. Spoiler Somewhere south of St.Petersburg "Greetings, visitors." Middle of the day is a time of scorching sun. Spoiler A pand/water reservoir near Armavir was turned into a park. Kuban river is nearby, north of this place. Place i showed during previous trip. Unfinished building near Kuban' river. Spoiler Going down via dirt road you will get to place where 2 river connects into one. Left one is Kuban', right one - Urup. For some reason resulting river is not called "Uran" or at least "Kubup". LoooSeR
Visiting Fortshdadt and hills that are overlooking Armavir. We were at this place last time, but it was during winter . About few hundreds meters away from the place, a line of hills that goes from N-W to S-E allows a scenic walk to Fortshtadt. Spoiler Spoiler Weather was very windy, looking back. A small building of weather station is barelly visible in trees. Looking S-E from edge of Fortshtadt This does look like an old road. Going back to uncle's home. This photo makes me feel like all this are miniatures, heh.
LoooSeR
And here is a place where famous Russian poet was - Aleksandr Pushkin. About 7 km north of Fortshtadt. Kuban' river is visible here. Spoiler Spoiler People for size comparison. At some point we were vitnessing old ass plane flying over us few times. Spoiler We decided to finish our "hills of the Kuban' " trip and went to Prochnokopsk, 2.5 km N-W from Fortshtadt. Abandoned big brock cowsheds are visible on next hill. Spoiler Mental hospital Spoiler We went down to the river, uncle wanted to show a bridge that was destroyed during big flood in mid 2000s. LoooSeR
Next day we went to Armavir city. Famous and/or significant people from Kuban' region are on those placards. Feels weird to see such thing, like a national pride even if being from Kuban' is not a nationality to ethnicity. Spoiler Not used to lack of traffic lights, haha. After Armavir we went further south east from the town and closer to river. Spoiler Few days later were were near this red brick building. Looks like old railroad leftovers. Saw here a small snake, only a line of disturbed grass was visible when snake tried to flee. On the way back saw this, somebody was very interested in playing with radios. LoooSeR
Next day we went to local horse farm. Spoiler Spoiler Monument to Anilin, a hourse that was sold for very big amount of gold. Most of land in Krasnodar region looks like this. Everything is ok, just building glitched into a terrain mesh. Short visit to Solzhenitsin house, currently a church. As we were told to fuck off, just few quick photos. Spoiler And of course i found a Soviet-build and abandoned building. This time a bit disapointing, it was partially destroyed. Spoiler Unlike few of my previous pics, this photo is not crooked, it is tower being not exactly vertical. Not sure what those things are for. I didn't photoshopped 2 houses into one weird. LoooSeR
Hills. Again! This time i'm about 1-1.5 km away from Fortshtadt. Old fortress was located here somewhere in the end of 18th century. Fortress was called Prochniy Okop ("Solid trench" ), and village nearby is called Prochnokopsk, kek. On the way to location of fortress. Spoiler Old road is visible on the hill side. On site. Spoiler Old trenches are visible on this photo and as i understand this is northern edge of fortress. Forest just north of "Solid trench". Driving for 15 minutes on several different roads put us here, 8 km S-E of Fortshtadt. Spoiler As i said, we will be near this red brick building in a few days. Looked like some sort of radiotransmitter This is Lenin streetm because of cource it is. We were going higher and higher. Spoiler This place looked like highest points around, so of cource i walked towards it. Planes, again. This time - something bigger, an Il-76. LoooSeR
And here is a day of flying back home. We arrived to Krasnodar city several hours before a flight, so we could visit a Krasnodar park, build by ex-owner of big chain of supermarkets in Russia called "Magnit". Because of traffic jams we didn't had much time, so i managed to see only part of this cool park. Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler "...and ticket to a plane with a silver wing, which when it takes off leaves only a shadow to the Earth" Spoiler Grey clouds and rain - normal St.Petersburg weather.
