Iraqi border guards prevented the illegal importation into the country of more than a thousand Ukrainian Fort pistols. Weapons in the amount of 1033 units in the original packaging and proper passports to it were packed in cardboard boxes labeled "Toys".

The Iraqi Customs Administration stated that the smuggling weapons, hidden in a 20-foot container brought to Iraq, were seized on April 9 at the port of South Umm Qasr.

Three videos on techniques for adjusting the harmonics of an AR-15 barrel:

The techniques discussed are:

1)  Adjusting the orientation of the flash hider in order to find the harmonic sweet spot
2)  Tightening the barrel to the receiver (apparently this is covered in an American Gunsmith article in depth)
3)  Adjusting the torque on the barrel nut
4)  Applying a small amount of pressure on the bottom of the barrel via a set screw in a NM-style float tube
5)  Adding an adjustable harmonic mass (similar to the Browning BOSS system), outside the context of NM

In other words, far simpler procedures than would be necessary in any other semiauto.

The industrial director of the Rostec, an armaments industrial cluster of the state corporation Sergey Abramov, announced the completion of the work of the interdepartmental commission, which made a decision on the admission of the Udol pistol to mass production.

According to Abramov, the Ministry of Defense approved the act of the commission and the pistol received the letter “O1” (signifies readiness for transfer to mass production).

In turn, the deputy general director of the TsNIItochmash joint-stock company (part of Rostec) Mikhail Levshunov, who developed the pistol, said that the next stage was to put the system into service or decide to use it in the army.

“The pistol is ready for serial production, the documents for adoption have been sent to the Ministry of Defense,” added Levshunov.
