So DNC, sure was a good idea to back Clinton over Sanders, eh? Clinton is just so much more electable.

[get prepped for some ramblings]    I get more depressed than scared.    Her voting record as a senator isn't good at all(in my opinion) with votes for the Iraq War(and not apologizing for it till

FIFY

The Ted victory is a massive disappointment, for me at least. I'd rather have Trump, at least he doesn't have a hate-boner for Putin.

Ted spent alot of ground time in Iowa and they rarely pick winners. I was abit surprised that the gap was that large, but its sticking with the polls

Exactly, and I'm hoping that stays true. Maybe Rand can travel around some more so he can be better recognized.

I swear though, if Bernie, Hillary, Cruz, Rubio, or Carson is elected, I'm packing up my backs and moving to Russia.  :P

Maybe Putin can run for the election here, he'd have my vote.

Being realistic about Rand's chances you'd be better off hoping Rubio or Trump get the nomination against Hillary so that a good 5-10% of the vote goes towards the Libertarian Party's Gary Johnson. I believe 5% gets a party national recognition and would likely advance libertarian ideas faster than Rand and his buddies trying to change the Republican Party away from being a watered down version of the Democratic Party but with more War and Jesus.

I'll probably vote for Johnson regardless. I don't want my vote to matter too much.

I have discovered that the great thing about not caring who wins elections is that they become much more fun to speculate about.

The Democrats are largely fucked. They have two candidates, both of which I would assign a low electability quotient. Clinton has her emails and also shitloads of people who hate her guts, both in high places and low (why do you think she didn't win the nomination before?), and I'd be shocked if Sanders could flex enough to a more moderate position to win a national election. I think Sanders' message is too consistent, and he'll be unable to connect with a lot of people as a result. If Sanders is elected, that will majorly shift my view on how electable hardliner socialists are, and probably everyone else's, too.

None of the Republican candidates are electable except Cruz. All the Republican Party has to do at this point is to nominate Cruz, and they will likely win, unless the Dems nominate a dark horse candidate. Cruz's arguments have gotten more polished over time, and he's gotten very good at working his party's base while courting constitutionalists and still remaining fairly appealing in general.

Smart money right now is on Cruz and the Republicans, I say, but we'll see if the GOP is smart enough to do the obvious.

Gary Johnson would never get 5%, hence the issue. I would hoping he would last time around.

If not Rand, I honestly *prefer* Trump over the other repubs. I don't like his ego, I don't like where he stands on certain things, but his foreign policy is the only one that keeps us clear of WW3.
