Which of the eight or however many points I made are you referring to?

The one where you claim to have data that I spent a week looking for in the library of one of the three best naval architecture schools in the world that I'm like 95% sure doesn't exist?

A nav weps person did a post on the speeds. Did not show calc. I believed the result to be calculated

It did in A6M8. Which is derived from the 1942 plan. Which began execution in 1945.

The Zeroes armor would not have helped the Japanese in any meaningful way. Nor would have the self sealing tanks. It would have achieved some aircraft crashing into the sea/not being involved for a series of battles in 1943 though.

Monumentally stupid? Do you think they had anything to use otherwise? Send them to training? You can say it's stupid but look at how feasible your plan is.

Which began execution in 1945?

Dude, That does nothing to refute the fact that the F6F, F4U, and even the plucky little FM-2 were superior aircraft. A quick check shows the A6M8 is going to have a top airspeed of 356mph. Sorry to tell you, this is slow by 1945 standards. The F6F-5 has a higher top speed at 391 mph, and the F4U-4 had a blistering top speed of 446 mph. There's also other US Aircraft to consider, namely the F7F Tigercat and F8F Bearcat, which both broke 400 mph. There's also USAAF aircraft to consider, the P-51D/K and P-47N also break 400 mph. That's not counting FAA aircraft with latter variants of Seafire.

Also, one of the major issues with the A6M was loss of maneuverability at higher air speeds. The entire reason the plane was so maneuverable was that it had these ECKSBAWKS HUEG control surfaces. If you put on any sort of significant airspeed, the airflow over the control surfaces makes maneuvering the aircraft difficult. How on earth would putting a larger engine on the aircraft correct that problem? The Bf-109K4 had similar issues. If you put too large of an engine on an air frame, you turn the damn thing into a death trap.

Ever heard of Link Or Die?
well fortunately for you I can link. And the Navweaps technical section is pretty good, and completely disproves the shit you are shovelling

Speed Thrills 1, 2, and 5. The Iowas could and did consistently reach 32.5 kn under less than ideal conditions.

You are exactly the kind of low effort and low energy shitposter I like eating for dinner, so thanks for an evening's entertainment. I won't be seeing you around.

You are low energy and sad... But on the upside very tasty with blue cheese sauce.

Could you point them out?

And how to do so better?

If you mean Tony DiGiulian's Speed Thrills I and Speed Thrills II, he notes several occasions where members of the Iowa class sustained speeds in excess of 32 knots in deep water, with a theoretical maximum speed (when using the 20% designed overload and producing 254,000shp, some 104,000 horsepower more than a Yamato could hope to make) of 33.5 knots in deep water at full load and with a clean bottom, and like 36 knots light ship.

They're fucking fast ships

Wow guys, everything I say is wrong and low energy and sad, and I didn't realize that saying such idiotic nonsense would win me an invitation to a Brett Kavanaugh style frathouse rape party.  I will try to do better in the future, and back up my statements with reasoned arguments from primary sources instead of making up on-the-fly ad-hoc nonsense and rationalizations.

Also, I promise to throw away my Kancolle IJN Yamato fuck pillow.  I guess... I've realized I need to grow up.  I don't need that anymore.

Turns out that the Musashi's 28 knots top speed was in shallow water.

Whoopsy daisy, there goes @Peasant's argument.

I only read off internet articles in the past, and believe them. I thought they make sense, but I have to reconsider.

> A6M Zero

Oh.

Zeroes main issues in combat had a lot more to do with situation, pilot training, flying culture of IJN air arm, and technological issues. In reality, the Zero could fight toe to toe with an F6F.

Technological is radio issue, leading to difficulty co-ordinating battles.

It might not help the Japanese used a lot of hand signals in dogfights, so when the Americans increased the battle area by going faster and higher, they ran into serious issues.

Stuff like splitting up Japanese fighter groups was much easier than it's American counterpart.

Also being handicapped by weak engine tech.

Yamato best BB ever built.

Others have already demolished the Zero and how its top tier pilots were being shot down in droves by Americans in F4s throughout 1942.

As for the Yamato, the ship was such an albatross, the Japanese Navy didn't even have enough oil to sortie the thing throughout most of the war. The thing consumed something like 14 tons of oil per hour just at cruising speed, let alone flank speed which I've seen numbers up to 41 tons per hour.e. Just to even SORTIE the Yamato took up roughly 5 percent of the Jap's monthly fuel reserves.

What's even the point of having a "super battleship" if you don't even have the fuel to run it and where your navy is reduced to scavenging for bunker fuel in the wrecks of its sunken battleships?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_battleship_Mutsu#Salvage_operations

You read that right. Also, that Japanese battleship the Mutsu was destroyed... by a disgruntled crewmember which says a lot about the quality of the men in the Japanese Navy.

Which blowing up one's own ship is kind of the quality of your postings here.
